Nobility Is nothing but a Social Status
Power it was everything, and all that matters in this world. This being something that Magnus was taught almost from the moment he was born being born into the Royal Vermillion family of the Clover Kingdom. Though sadly enough, Magnus view of power would be warped from that of most nobles and especially Royals like his family. Considering that Magnus felt power did not come from birth or being born into a noble family, but that it came from hard work and dedication. The grind as Magnus old mentor Apollo would say, since if one did not grind they could never rise and power and would forever be stuck. Something Magnus had no intention of ever being in life. Thus being the main reason that he always found himself looking to increase his magical powers or knowledge knowing that both were key to him reaching his goals. Thus being the reason that Magnus tended to find himself outside the Crimson Lion compound training till he dam near collapsed. With being a lava mage, Magnus did not get the complete luxury of getting to train inside of the compound with his magic.
With lava magic being highly destructive, and Magnus style of combat it made it highly un suitable for him to train inside if he planned to go all out unless he intended on hearing the mouth of captain Lysander who would be completely pissed if Magnus managed to burn down another wall with his Lava, considering it had already been a few accidents in the time that Magnus had been a Crimson Lion. Times he was hoping to never repeat as he was sure if he did he would never hear the end of it from Captain Lysander. Thus being the reason Magnus used the outside training grounds on the mountain side as it gave he complete freedom to use his lava magic as well as it allowed for the young Vermillion to be outside in the natural elements. Something he has more than enjoyed since his time as child, especially with his old mentor Apollo. Who helped give Magnus his drive to get stronger each and every day.
But training was not the true reason that Magnus found himself outside the Crimson Lion compound on this chill spring night. As his true reason for making his way to the outside compound was one of the heart rather than one of dedication and hard work. With it now being almost a year since Magnus had joined the Crimson Lion Squad, he had been away from his family and mentor Apollo. Though Magnus could care less about most of his family considering the fact that upon the young age of four his parents gave him his own house in the royal capital and entrusted him to the commoner who was meant to be his mentor and tutor till it was time for the young child to make the Vermillion family proud. This commoner being none other than his loved mentor Apollo who had seem to completely disappear amongst Magnus entrance into the Magic Knights.
Thus giving Magnus a feeling of home sickness, though not in the sense of him actually missing his physical home. Considering the fact that the Crimson Lion Magic Knight compound set just outside of the Royal Capital of the Clover Kingdom. Meaning that Magnus could easily return to his home if he so felt. Though he honestly had no intention of going to see his parents or siblings. Magnus not having much over a parent child relationship with his parents due to the fact that they wanted him to be the perfect solider in sense and prided he be disciplined from youth. Thus straining the relationship that Magnus had not only with his parents but his siblings as well. Making the Royal Vermillion family just one big happy dysfunctional mess, though Magnus was sure that this was unseen by most of the Kingdom as they tended to try and hide it so well. Except for a few a few of his cousins who were shunned because of their skills or magic due to the snobby royal attitude of the family as a whole.
That attitude being a big reason that Magnus did not seem to get along with a lot of his family and thus they weren’t the reason for his home sickness. As all of that felt upon his Mentor Apollo who he was starting to miss more and more with each day. And it was starting to take a toll on the young Vermillion, with Apollo being the only true family he had now missing it seemed he was completely alone. A feeling that Magnus had never had to feel before due to Apollo always being there, but now it would seem times were different.
As Magnus could only think now that the Crimson lions where his family as he silently gazed up looking at the stars in the sky. The stars being one of the main things that seemed to calm Magnus mind and get it off the things that truly just made him seem even more alone in his head. Like the daunting fact that he could only guess god knows where, his litter brother Aku Vermillion was after getting in some major trouble that Magnus could only see himself as powerless to stop. While at the same time the stars seemed to be the only thing of Apollo that Magnus had left besides his teachings. With star gazing being one of the main things that the two loved to do after intense training sessions, as Apollo always told Magnus that it was the perfect way for one to relax their body and get to their maximum potential.
As well as the fact that Apollo also made it a goal of his to try and teach Magnus of all the different stars and consolations in the sky, a goal that seemed almost impossible to Magnus upon the beginning, but now it seemed as though the names of stars and consolation in the sky came to Magnus as easy as it was for him to use magic or even breath. He could only thank this to Apollo’s method of training, and way of discipline. Something Magnus hoped he could pick up and keep following even with his mentor gone.
Wiping the sweat from his brow, Ardere gulped down as much water as he could take. Gasping for air, he ended up soaking his bare chest in water. Training had gotten so intense that he had chosen to take off his shirt and toss it to the ground. He was covered in sweat and water, panting as he stood surrounded by scorch marks. His muscles were a tad sore, but nothing he could not handle. The fire wizard was notorious for ruining the training grounds. Apparently Lysander had performed similar feats, only to receive punishment. The Noble was lucky. He had only been forced to run a few drills, though he knew if the Captain found out he would probably kick his ass for damaging the equipment so severely. He had no restraint at times....
Nonetheless, Ardere cleaned himself up and placed the equipment back in it's racks. What little equipment was still pieced together of course. Taking a breather, he found himself staring up at the sky as the day passed and night came. His muscles were tight and expanding as his blood pressure was still high. Looking at the gorgeous scenery around the base calmed him down a bit. This was one of the few traits his father had passed down to him. "Always appreciate the Earth we live on. It's the only one we've got." He would often say. The brown haired mage gathered his things. Tossing his jacket over his shoulders, he slid his pale arms through the sleeves. Leaving it unzipped, he finished up his water. Damn that was rough. Ruffling his own hair, it poofed up a bit. Fixing it the best he could, he tied his crimson headband through his thick brown locks. Taking another deep breath, he wandered around for a bit. It wasn't a busy day in the squad, everyone retiring to sleep in their quarters. The fire mage was always one of the last to retire for the day.
Lysander's voice rang in his head. "Take care of yerself kid, or I will!" Yikes. He should probably get some rest sometime soon. If he faltered during training exercises or drills, the Captain would have his head. Shrugging to himself, he was about to leave before he spotted someone outside the area. It was a familiar red headed man who presumably had done some training of his own. Oh I know that guy. What was his name...? Ardere said to himself. Then he froze. Oh crap. I forgot his name. And that guy's been in the squad a bit now. Ohh crap. What was it? Matthew? Mathias? Mark? Dammit. Stroking his chin, he hoped the man hadn't spotted him just yet or he would be embarrassed. Oh Magnus! That's it! I knew it was something with an "M". He spoke quietly to himself, as he finally had figured it out. Running towards the man, he leaped over some equipment to get to him.
Hey Magnus! Watcha doing? Looking at the stars? It's nice out if I do say so. Looking back up to the sky, he nodded. Smiling, he gave a casual wave. Ardere had a very powerful deep voice, but it was still so full of life and energy. It's like there was this aura around him, one that gave him limitless energy. He was quite the talker at times. Ohh you look like you were doing some training. I just got done myself. No rest for the wicked eh? Running a pale, vascular hand through his hair, the Noble looked over to his squad mate. The two had only met in passing, but it was about time that they had an actual conversation. The Intermediate Knight was looking to be Vice Captain, and he would need to know everyone before he could do that.

Nobility Is nothing but a Social Status
Gazing at the sky, Magnus would soon come to find himself lost in his thoughts in such a way that he was completely day dreaming, or well night dreaming in a sense. Considering the fact that it was now in the complete of night and the young Vermillion could not seem to pull his gaze away from the sky that set above him as he looked at its beauty and wondered how it could be so endless as it was such. Being that the sky went on as far as they eye could see and them some. This leading Magnus to wonder what kind of magic the night sky held, as he was sure that it had to be more to the star and the moons, as he even heard from Apollo of such Magical Religions that worshiped certain gods of sort like moon and sun gods. Something that could only lead Magnus to wonder what was out there in the sky and the world completely as a whole when it came to magic.
Being that magic answered so many things for men kind, but also managed to leave so many things un answered for them at the same time. And these things were things that Magnus hopped to answer one day with his own power, as in the end power was the only thing that truly mattered in this world rather it be noble, royal, or commoner. Magnus knew in the end that only one thing in this world could be truly respected by all alike. This being something his parents completely showed him as a child when they abandoned him in their conquest to make him the perfect soldier. Though Magnus could not completely be made at them for their way of raising them as he was sure if they had more of a hand in his upbringing he would of turned out to be a snobby royal like his elder siblings. But thanks to Apollo this would be the complete opposite, as well as Magnus knew he must thank them in sort as for it not had been for them he would of never got to meet his mentor Apollo. The one who truly opened his eyes to the world, and probably the only man that Magnus truly respected and could every openly offer up his Grimoire to.
Though he knew this would not be something possible with the current situation at hand, but still Magnus tried his hardest to not let his mind wander on It too much. As Magnus would soon start to hear the sounds of rushing foots steps, instantly snapping him back to reality and out of the dream world that was in his mind. Upon becoming completely awake and back to reality Magnus could instantly tell that the footsteps where coming from behind him, though before he would be able to mange to complexly find himself in right sitting up position he would manage to see a strange brown haired man leaping over some of the outside training equipment before completely making his way to Magnus. Who would proceed to stand himself up so that he may get a better look at the man that had just interrupted his day dreaming session. Something that slightly ticked the young Vermillion off, though he figured it was also his fault for choosing a training field as such as a place to day dream and think.
Since the Crimson Lion Magic Knight squad was field with mages who loved the thrill of combat and going all out in a fight, causing for them to be a quite rowdy and feisty bunch of mages who you could tend to always find do some sort of training of the sort.. Especially considering the fact that captain Lysander did his best to make sure that every mage in the Crimson Lion squad was in tip top shape not only when it came to controlling their magic, but in the physical aspect as well. Mandating that each and every Knight of the squad followed a strict and precise exercise routine making mandatory squad training sessions on the constant, as like most of the members in the squad, Captain Lysander believed that Crimson Lion was the true elite squad and above Golden Down and they would soon prove it to the entire Clover Kingdom with the command of Captain Lysander Rouge. Thus driving an intense rage in most of the members of the Crimson Lions for constant training rather it be day or night.
Now Standing and looking at the man in front of him Magnus would recognize him from the squad as he was a fellow member of the Crimson Lions. Though Magnus hadn’t had much interaction with the man, just enough to know his name was Ardere and he was a fire wizard of sort who tended to take a similarity in personality to the captain Lysander. The man was also of the Intermediate Knight rank making him Magnus superior at the current moment. The man would proceed to speak to Magnus with complete familiarity as if the two had been friends for a long time, though Magnus was still rather knew to the guild and knew absolutely nothing about this man. Upon Ardere asking Magnus was he looking at the stars, he would quickly jump to saying that it was nice outside before leaving the young Vermillion that was Magnus a chance to respond to his first question.
As the fire wizard would then proceed to stat that Magnus looked as though he had been doing some training of the sort saying it was no rest for the eh and he had just finished doing the same. “Well you could say a training of the sort, I honestly finished training hours ago and was just gazing at the stars as a way to clear my mind and let body relax. My mentor having told me even if one constantly trains they can never truly become powerful if they don’t give the body time to relax and rest”. Magnus would come off in a somewhat cold tone that could only be expected of a member of the Royal Vermillion family, though the young Crimson Lion no disrespect in the tone off his voice, as it was just due to the fact that he was a man of little words and seemed to always come off cold to most if they weren’t close on a friendly level.
Take time to rest and relax huh? Ardere could see the value in such things. He often liked to nap after training. Sleep was important, but the fire wizard didn't know if he could ever truly just relax. There would always be something in the back of his mind. Perhaps that was something he could work on. He would note this for later. The red haired man's attitude was kind of cold, but the Noble did not mind it. Some people were just that way. He may be a hot head, but he was crazy even for a Crimson Lion member. Perhaps it would help him grow. Maybe not. Ah. I gotcha. Guess I'll join you if that's alright? Waiting for some form of approval, be it a nod or a simple "sure", he would sit down next to Magnus and look up at the stars. Sitting around and star gazing was not something he was known for often doing, but it was nice to appreciate the world around them every once in a while.
Looking up at the gorgeous sky, he remembered nights spent with Murasaki. She was his best friend and a Silver Eagles member, one he held dear. They had been very close as kids, staying up late to play in the night. Finding themselves in a field near the Common Region, looking up a the stars was all they had left to do. But they enjoyed it. Spending time with those he cherished was something Ardere deemed as worthy of fighting for. He and Lysander had discussed this in detail before the Captain had given him his epic quest. He was the only member of the squad to receive such a quest, which meant he was a front runner. But would it be enough? He had to make more allies and get stronger. He was still far too weak to defeat the threats to his home. Diamond was growing stronger by the day and mana beasts were becoming more common. Something was amiss in Clover, and he was intent on helping fight it.
Wow. The sky is especially beautiful tonight. Not a bad idea you had, coming out here. Your mentor must have been a wise man. He never really had a mentor, unless his father was considered one. But his father had died when he was young. The closest thing he had now was Lysander, who took a liking to him probably because he reminded him of a younger version of himself. Or some crap like that. Ardere only knew what he had learned in life. He took off from the Kasai estate at 15 and never looked back, except to visit on holidays or occasionally write letters. He had no siblings. Only some cousins and his mother. Now that he thought about it, Magnus probably had lots of relatives. All those red heads running around.
Sighing contently, he wiggled his feet a bit. If you wanna get a better view of the scenery, I know a better place than this. Wanna check it out? Standing up, he smiled proudly. Looking down with his fiery red eyes, he hoped Magnus would say yes. If so, he would get ready to take off. The fire wizard had found himself the only one awake most nights, as he was a Night Owl. As such, he had discovered several good places to explore around the base. This included a few passageways not known to most, and the Captain as well as the Vice Captain's personal quarters. He was a bit of a deviant, but he never did anything technically illegal. He was more interested in exploring and getting to know his squad. He was one of the older members both age wise and in experience, meaning the Noble had plenty of time to do these things.

We shall admire beauty while we can
Speaking to the fire wizard of relaxation, Magnus could only wonder what was too come of the interaction that he and he fellow squad mate of the Crimson Lions were having this current moment under the stars. Something that could be found a quite weird considering the two were men, but none looked at it as so, being that that it was nothing of the so. Even though Magnus was quite thrown off guard when the fire wizard that was Ardere asked for if It was ok for him to join him in his relaxation, Magnus figuring that he was going to see if Magnus advice was true not in a sort, while trying to get to learn about one of his fellow Crimson Lions. A situation that Magnus could only wonder how it would turn, considering from what he had seen of the fire wizard, he had a rather large personality to match his element and magic fighting style , Magnus had heard so much about from others in the Crimson Lions Magic Knight Squad.
Though he still knew solittle about the man that he was so casually nodding to, in acceptance of him joining him in relaxation looking at the stars. A decision Magnus was not sure if he was going to come to regret as time went one since he was still a little shook by the complete friendliness of the man that now rested just a few feet away from him. As both of the Crimson Lion Knights proceed to gaze up at the scar for a moment as they let their minds wander. Leading Magnus to wonder about his siblings as he hadnt spoke to most of them since he had been come a Magic Knight, and he wasn’t sure if anyone of them even currently knew that he had entered the ranks of the Crimson Lions considering he was doing his best to keep a low profile and from out from under the radar of his parents. As they wished for nothing more then for Magnus to become the Wizard King and bring even more honor to the Vermillion name. A goal that Magnus wasn’t after in the slightest as he wished learn more of magic and had no intention of being a king. Since leading people wasn’t his sort of thing, considering Magnus only really loved two things, and those things being combat and magical knowledge.
The two lions would seem to come and find themselves lost in the stars for quite some time before one of them proceeded to break the silence and bring the both of them back to reality. And that one being none other then Ardere the fire wizard. As the senior Magic Knight to Magnus would proceed to speak of how beautiful the night sky was, something Magnus could not contest as it was completely true considering the way the stars lit up the sky made it one of the most beautiful things to view. As Ardere would even go as far tell Magnus that it was a good idea of his to come out here and look out at the stars as he decided to relax and let his body rest. The fire wizard event going as far to complement Apollo Magnus mentor in a way, something that could do nothing but bring a smile of sort to the young Royal Vermilions face. Since though he wasn’t one to smile much he did take very much pride in his mentor being the one true person he saw as family. Making the fire wizard Arderes comment win him some brownie points with Magnus.
Though Magnus would not be able to muster up a response to the statement in a sense of not wanting to show his emotions at the current moment, which would soon lead to a sigh of Ardere. Who would then proceed to inform Magnus that if he wanted to get a better view of the scenery as he knew a better spot. Something that put Magnus on alarm slightly as he was still not completely sure of the intentions of his Crimson Lion Squad Knight on this starry night. But he figured that he best at least give the man a chance, as Apollo would tell him its not good to keep himself away from others. A problem that Magnus had seemed to have since a child, always rather being alone unless he was surrounded by others on the battle field as that was the only time Magnus truly saw the need of team work and partnership, a view point he was trying to grow out of.
Standing up and proceeding to dust himself off, Magnus would proceed to give the thought of going on a small adventure with the fire wizard that was Ardere. As he still tried to let his mind grasp what could all possibly happen if he followed this man up on his offer to get a better view of the night sky, with Magnus still not compltyl sure of the true nature of man. But so far he was seeming to get on Magnus good side with his slight comments praising Apollo, making Magnus figure it would be ok for him to drop his guard towards the man slightly for a moment to see were things went. Since it would be good for him to make a friend in the Crimson Lion squad, especially one that had been around for a minute and the ins and outs of the squad better then himself. Looking at the fire wizard Ardere, the royal Vermillion Magnus would proceed to give the fire wizard a simple look before proceed to respond to his question of earlier. “ Well if you say the view is better, then I will gladly take you up on the offer, as its not often Magic Knights like us just get to sit back and spend our time enjoying the beauty of the things around us. So I figure we not only owe it to ourselves, but the kingdom of clover to admire all beauty at least while we can".
Ardere smiled wide. He had managed to get a response out of Magnus, and a good one at that. The fire wizard was not the kind to just sit around, but the red haired man was right. They needed to take the time to enjoy what was around them. Spending most of their days training or defending the kingdom left little leisure time, so it was important they seized it. He was a big believer in this fact, and that was why he stood up. Taking in another deep breath, he nodded. Looking at his squad mate, the Noble motioned for him to follow. Well then. If you're ready, follow me! Taking off towards the fortress that was the Crimson Lion base, they hadn't strayed too far from the internal training grounds. Entering the building, their little adventure would begin.
Heading towards one of the hallways, the Noble passed tons of training equipment to get there. They had to be relatively quiet seeing as how late it was beginning to get, otherwise they'd risk waking up some of their squad mates. Ardere generally stomped around yelling and ranting, but tonight he had to lightly step across the floors. Taking a back hallway that seemed to lead towards a storage area, it was pretty clear this path was not often used. This way! He whispered with a bit of gusto. They had finally arrived at a wooden door, which as he opened revealed a set of stairs. This set of stairs appeared to be endless, but the fire wizard dove in anyways. Ascending the seemingly endless staircase, the dark haired mage let out a slight sigh. The steps appeared to be in a spiral formation, which the knight knew was caused by the tightness of the tower they were in. Hopefully it would indicate where they were to the Vermillion.
After a few minutes, they got close to the top of the tower. It's one of the old storage towers. Leads up to a pretty good spot on the roof. They mainly use it for defensive purposes now, but it's pretty rare anyone comes up here. Opening up the door to the outside, the moonlight shone through. They were now on a little balcony area that was attached to one of the fortress towers. They could easily access the roof from here. Come on! Leaping down from the railing, the fire mage found himself landing with a large thud against the stone roof. Plopping down, he sat atop the roof of the Lion's Den. Staring up at the sky, he took in a deep breath of fresh air.
See? I told you it was pretty great. A light smirk crossed his pale lips as his deep red eyes were fixed on the specs of shining light in the sky. The breeze rolled through his cloak and fluttered his thick brown locks. He patted the ground next to him in hopes that Magnus would sit down with him. Pop a squat my man. Ardere folded his legs tightly, leaning back a bit to support his own weight. Staring off at the night sky, he was fairly confident no one would discover their presence. Lysander was a deep sleeper. It was hard to awaken him. One would likely need to hit him over the head with a boulder to awaken him from his slumber. Their current Vice Captain wasn't much of a threat either, so they should be fine. This would give the two knights some time to enjoy themselves.

Im a soldier this is the life i choose
Speaking to the fire wizard, Magnus could only hope he herd, and felt the trueness in what he had just said. Since Magnus was not completely sure of how this man saw beauty, with many having their own different views of it. Magnus even knowing that some saw destruction as beauty of a sort, though he was not one of those people seeing beauty In the world, power, magic, knowledge and a few other things. But destruction was not one of those things that Magnus saw as beauty, as it just did not thrill him but he figured it did excite some to a sort. Still hoping that Ardere was not one of this sort as he watched the man stand up and dust himself off. This time allowing for Magnus to actually get a good look at the actual physical size of the Crimson Lion Magic Knight that was Ardere the fire wizard. Who would seem to come to a height of just under six feet it seem to Magnus, as the fire wizard stood at five feet and eleven inches, leaving the six feet four giant of a mage that was Magnus Vermillion tower over him.
Even though one could easily tell that Ardere was Magnus senior at least by several years, though Magnus had seem to come use to be a giant of sort and towering over most people he seem to come in contact, or interact with. Ardere the fire wizard seeming to be no different in this case, of Magnus great height advantage over most, though the fire wizard Ardere would instantly proceed to ask Magnus was he ready, and to proceed following him. As the two Crimson Lions would proceed to walk through the outside training grounds until they made entrance into the inside portion of the training field. Once inside the two Lions would make sure to move as quite as possible in hopes of not making to much noise and waking up any of those sleep in side of the barracks as it was rather late at night. And Crimson Lions prided discipline meaning that Captain Lysander had wanted all of the Knights inside of their rooms in the barracks by eleven pm.
A time that Ardere and Magnus were completely past as they made it past the various training devices in the inside training room of the Crimson Lion Compound. Looking at the equipment Magnus wasn’t completely sure what most of it was for considering he rarely actually used the inside training facility, though threw their pass through the young Vermillion would come to notice burn and scorch marks on some of the equipment. Marks he could only assume came from none other than the fire wizard that he was currently following behind. Ardere having informed Magnus earlier that he had been doing some intense training and it would seem that they had come upon the evidence, though Magnus was sure Ardere was hoping that it all god cleaned up before Lysander managed to see it. As they both knew that the captain would be more then made to see any damaged equipment and would go on to give them a speech as to why they couldn’t have nice things. Something Magnus was sure that neither of them had the time for as it was a speech every member of the Crimson Lions had come to hear.
Soon the fire wizard would utter the words as this way as he and Magnus made it from the inside training facility into some of the back hallways of the compound that they would proceed to move down until coming to a strange wooden door that Magnus was completely unfamiliar with, though in his short time in the Crimson Lion squad, Magnus hadnent honestly spent much time around the compound so he wasn’t completely familiar with it in and out as Ardere the fire wizard seemed to be. Though that could only be expected from his senior Magic Knight. Upon opening the strange wooden door it would seem as though the two mages would find themselves at a spiraling stair case leading Magnus to wonder all the more where was this special place that Ardere was taking him, and was it ok for the two of them to be there. Since Magnus had no time to deal with corrective actions from Lysander which usually resulted in physical exercise of some sort to the extreme. And the end result was not pretty in the least, as it tended to result in bed rest for a few days for the unlucky party who met captain Lysander’s discipline.
Moving up the stairs, Magnus would soon come to realize that they were in some tower of sort due to the tight space of the structure as the continued to move up the stairs. After a few moments of moving up the tower, Ardere would soon bring himself to break the silence that he and Magnus had been traveling in. Informing the young Royal Vermillion that they were in one of the old storage towers of the compound that was now mainly used for defense purposes and rarely visited by the members of the guild even though it lead to a good spot on the top of the roof that was easily accessible. Listening to Ardere speak it showed to Magnus how long the fire wizard had been in the squad and how much more of the s quad and its compound he knew than the young royal. Though Magnus wasn’t ashamed in the fact that he was the lesser Knight at the moment as he was sure Ardere would be capable of teaching him very much in the near future. Once making it to the top of the tower to the roof, Ardere would seem to find himself a spot on the balcony as he patted the ground next to him for Magnus to come and sit.
Figuring it was nothing to lose Magnus jumped over the railings just as the fire wizard did before him as he proceeded to make his way to the balcony as Ardere proceed to tell Magnus that he told him so, in reference to the statement he had made earlier when they first meet about him knowing a spot with a good view, something that was seeming to be completely true. Once over the balcony and still standing Ardere would proceed to tell Magnus to take a seat as they continued to look up at the start checking out the beautiful sky that was in front of them. Taking a seat next to the fire wizard, Magnus would make sure to put a two foot gap between the two wizards in the fact that he didn’t want to be too close to one another and inside each other’s personal space. Making himself comfortable Magnus would start to enjoy the view that Ardere had brought him to see. “Well I must say you are right, this is a great view, I must truly thank you for gracing me with its beauty.” Even as Magnus thanked Ardere one could still hear the coldness and lack of emotion in the voice of Magnus, as he spoke as a solider and not as a regular civilian.
It's no problem! Ardere smiled. Heh. He stared off into the distance, with his arms supporting his arched body as he leaned back. Taking in the scenery around him, he sat in silence with Magnus for a bit. It was a rare moment to enjoy someone's company in silence. He could tell the red haired mage was kind of a stick in the mud. It would be quite the challenge to break that mold, but he intended on doing so by the end of the night. The fire wizard was a very sociable man. Even in a squad of militant soldiers, he found the time to get to know everyone at the end of the day. It may have taken some time, but he was getting to know all of them. While he was the ideal Crimson Lion, a man with a fiery temper, love for combat, and experienced warrior--he was not a true soldier. He followed Lysander's orders because he was a man who deserved respect, a wise man. He did not follow his orders just because he was his superior. This was not how the Noble viewed the world. Status and position meant nothing without respect from your fellow man. To be a truly successful leader, one must earn the full trust of their men. A true leader is the first on the battlefield and the last to leave. This was how he would lead one day.
Tapping his fingers a few times, it had become a truly sparkling night to enjoy. But Ardere would not spend the entire night in silence, for that he could not bear. So you're a Vermillion, right Magnus? Turning his head to look at the red haired man, he smirked. You don't really act like a royal, that is if you actually are one. Widening one eye a bit, he got a good look at him. He was a lean fighter. There was a decent mana presence coming from him. Sensory was not his strongsuit, but experience could tell the Noble that much. Don't worry, I'm just teasing you. I don't really act like a Noble myself. My mother would yell at me all the time about it, but it's her fault I'm this way in the first place. It was true, his mother was very temperamental and rugged. She was no ordinary Lady. Fura Kasai was a woman who did what she wanted when she wanted. He had respect for his mother, even if she was overbearing.
Things like that don't tend to matter much to me anyways. All I care about is protecting my family and this country. Titles are meaningless without anything to back them up, and just power alone isn't enough. You have to be strong in your heart too. Merit and conviction truly make a man. Wouldn't you say? It was certainly an odd topic to bring up to a total stranger, but it would be a good test to see where their friendship could go. Ardere was an open book with no filter. No topics were off limits with him. His ideals were a bit different than most Nobles. He did not view himself above any commoner, or vice versa. They were all equals in this world. The only thing they could do was fight to protect what they loved, via words or fists. Unfortunately the world did not always view it like that. So he would have to change their minds.

Nobility is just a social status.
It was no problem would be the last words that the red haired Vermillion on the roof that was Magnus would manage to hear, before managing to go into day dream mode as he looked up at the stars enjoying the view that Ardere had shared with him above the Crimson Lion Magic Knight Compound. Magnus looking at the starts thinking of his childhood and how he was brought up differently then most, having been trained to be a soldier from birth somewhat made Magnus seem to come off cold to others or even like a stick in the mud as some would say. Due to Magnus having a hard time truly expressing or even showing his feelings to those around him, that he isn’t completely comfortable with. And the list of people that the young Vermillion was comfortable was not a big one, considering that Magnus had major trust issues growing up in the snake pit of the royal capital along many shady nobles and Royals. Something that showed Magnus the worst in people even at such a young age, as it opened his eyes to world around him.
Though the Royal capital wasn’t all bad , as Magnus had some fond memories of it, though he rarely thought of them. Considering the fact that most of them involved his mentor Apollo who was now missing. And thinking of him only made matters worse to Magnus who was currently powerless to do anything about the current situation thus the reason he now found himself above the Crimson Lion Compound. As the young scholar of a Vermillion had no intention of originally joining the Magic Knight Order, until he figured that it would be his best way in getting stronger and possibly fining Apollo. Though Magnus knew, that every day was important and he needed to use it in making sure that he got himself stronger . As in the end power was the only thing that was going to truly matter in the end in the world, even to the nobles and Royals. Something that it took a commoner of the Forsaken Region to teach Magnus, a member of the Royal Vermillion family.
Still zoned out in his head and in the dream world, Magnus would soon start to hear a small tapping noise coming from near him on the roof that would cause for him to snap back to reality. Where he would instantly come to hear the voice of the fire wizard Ardere, Magnus only hopping that his fellow Knight hadent been speaking this whole time while he was zoned out. Ardere would proceed to Ask Magnus he was a Vermillion, before instantly moving on in the conversation to say that Magnus dosent really act like a Royal. Something that he had come use to hearing as it was easily noticeable that he wasn’t like his siblings or cousins that shared his royal blood. Though most of them had a complete different raising then Magnus being that he was raised to be a soldier, unlike the rest of them.
Magnus would prooced to look at the fire wizard in silence as he moved on to inform Magnus that they were similar in a sort. Considering the fact that Ardere was a Noble and didn’t completely act like one either. Saying his mother constantly screamed at him for his actions though he blamed her for his ways. Leading Magnus to only wonder was the statement true, as Magnus could blame his parents for his ways completely as they sent him off a young age to receive training. And never really giving him much of a childhood, though Magnus had come to peace with his parents and their choices of his upbringing. As he thanked them for it as if it hadn’t been for them he may of never got to open his eyes to the real world. And that was a gift that was not given to many Royals or Nobles.
The fire wizard would then proceed to move on to speaking on his views telling him things of Nobility did not matter to him. Something that it would seem that he would come to have in common with Magnus the Royal Vermillion Scholar. Though unlike Magnus who just saw pure power and knowledge as everything , it would come to seem that Ardere saw something else to be important as well. As that being power of the heart. Something Magnus himself was not completely familiar with himself though he was sure Ardere could come to help him learn more of it in the future as knowledge was one of the main reasons that Magnus had found himself to come and join the Magic Knight Order. Especially the Crimson Lion Squad, as it was a squad that held many mages found in the arts of combat magic. Something that interested Magnus very much so.
Looking at Ardere after he finished his speech, the young Vermillion would remain silent for a short moment before he proceeds to begin speakin go the fire wizard. As he was lost for words for a short moment but would instantly seem to snap back to himself. “ I to agree Ardere, as Nobility and Royalty is nothing more than pure social status, power and knowledge are the only two things that truly matter in this world, now I know nothing of this power of the heart you speak of , but I am sure it is something interesting indeed.” Magnus would seem to come off as his usual cold self though even as he had managed to find a way to somewhat open up to Ardere the fire wizard a little bit, as it was starting to show that the Crimson Lion Squad might be a great place after all for Magnus even if he was going to have to do it all alone and without his mentor Apollo by his side. He was sure as hell going to do his best to make the best of it.
Ardere nodded. Normally he would have talked anyone's ear off who seemed cold and reserved to him, but something about Magnus intrigued him. He did not want to scare the red haired mage away. The fire wizard would have to do his best to not be all over the place, if that was possible. He kind of liked his new friend. Fair enough. Never underestimate the power of the heart. It will trump your brain every time. Pointing to his head, he smiled slightly. Most people tried to conquer their emotions and suppress them, but if one could utilize their emotions and turn them into strength, then they would be unstoppable. This is what the Noble tried to do every day. He knew it was what made his Captain so strong. The man he respected.
The silence was not as awkward as he had expected. The two mages seemed to just enjoy sitting there without exchanging words. Staring up at the stars, it was nice and quiet for once. The only sounds that could be heard were the chirping of crickets and the whistling of the wind. There was a light breeze in the Spring night. Enough to cool the fire wizard down in his thick jacket. His hair and headband rustled as he took a deep breath. Staring off into the distance, he could see the lights from the Capital. The grand city at the center of their kingdom was massive, full of people. He could almost feel the liveliness, even this late. Ardere was sure Raque was even more bustling, as it was a city full of travelers and rich gamblers. The Capital was different. There was an aura he could not explain. It was obviously some sort of festival, but he could not tell what kind. The Capital never ceases to amaze me. He found himself being constantly surprised by his surroundings, even after being born a Noble. Perhaps this was a good thing. He could always find some sort of happiness in his life. But happiness was so fragile. It would take a lot of strength to protect it. Strength he would need to acquire soon.
Snapping his fingers, Ardere created a small flame in his palm. Tossing this small flame into the air, it began to float away a few feet in front of the two mages. Twirling his fingers, he shaped it into a star, then a sword, then a small boat that would sail along the air. This tiny ship sailed along the seas of wind before exploding into fireworks. Sorry. Entertaining myself a bit here. What magic do you use again Magnus? Isn't it some sort of heat-y magic? He honestly forgot. Having a fire related magic was fairly common in the Vermillion family. His friend Alburn was a Ash user, but that was still in the same vein as fire or explosions. He was feeling a bit embarrassed, but keeping track of everyone's magic was honestly becoming a pain. Fortunately fire type magics were also common in the Crimson Lion squad, so he at least had that going for him. Though he and Lysander were the only ones with a simple flame. Perhaps they were just simple men. Men of strength.

Magnus was still coming off as his rather gloomy self as he spoke to the fire wizard of things that interested him something that Magnus rather had a problem with when it came to most people. Considering the rather unusual upbringing that the young noble Vermillion had at the hands of his parents and Mentor, kind of made him rather a secluded person of sort, though Magnus meant no disrespect in the way he tended to come off at people as it was just his nature and not the personality traits of a snobby noblest like his cousins and what not, but more or less just to do with the fact that Magnus was a cold natured person in general and tended to do his best in keeping most people at bay or at least completely unaware of his emotional wellbeing. Something that may of seemed troubling to some around Magnus as it made it hard to tell if the young Magic Knight was emotional unstable or at least had his emotions in the right place.
Though Magnus was more than sure the Fire Wizard would be able to deal with the Nature of the young Noble Vermillion, especially If they were to get closer as Lions of the same Pride with The Fire Wizard making his push up the ranks in the Crimson Lion Magic Knight Squad. And it seemed the Fire Wizard of the Crimson Lions was trying to do just that with Magnus. Making sure not to push on subject to much as he was not trying to force the young Vermillion away by talking his head out, but making sure to inform Magnus to always go with his heart as it would trump his brain every time, a bit of advice that Magnus would make sure to remember -as he believed it was some truth behind the words of what the Fire Wizard had to say.
Leading to the two Crimson Lion Magic Knights to dip into a moment of silence as both of the two seemed to become lost in their heads and the grand site of the capital that appeared before them. Though Magnus was more lost into the wondering as to what his knew membership with the Crimson Lions was to bring to him. As Apollo spoke of how the Magic Knights could bring great things to those that normally didn’t already come from great bloodlines such as Magnus. And joining the Crimson Lions was a big reason to that for Magnus even if he still had a lot of work ahead of him considering all the trials and tribulations he was soon to face.
The Fire Wizard would also seem to be lost in the view as he would come out of nowhere and break the silence of the moment speaking of how the capital never ceased to amaze him. Something that Magnus himself could agree with considering the fact that he grew up in the capital and it always seemed to have something different going on it, being the focus of the Clover Kingdom and all. A place that many of the Nobles called their true home. Being that most of the Noble families had estates in the capital. Making it quite an unfriendly place for commoners and even some of the lesser noble family’s. As Nobles tended to be stuck up and cruel rude people to those that they saw as lower than them. A personality trait that had come to many of the Vermillion members which caused Magnus to loath most of them considering his standings on social status. But soon enough the two Crimson lions would find themselves completely lost in the sight of the sky in front of them for a while before proceeding to call it a night and head in.
