Well he had finally made it to the noble region of the Clover Kingdom. This was vastly different from the village he was raised in with his parents, the structures were covered with large windows, massive walls, some had signs on them with gold trim. Compared to where he was from this was like day and night, everyone wore more “fancy” clothes while Chisana wore his typical attire of a white long sleeved shirt with a black vest and a black tie along with his dark leather gloves he somewhat fit into the area but not by much. He still had the demeanor of someone who lived in the country side from the majority of his life especially since he kept staring at everything as if he could commit each detail into his mind to examine at a later time.
Nothing was more jarring then seeing that the roads between the areas where of actual stone and brick instead of dirt and gravel. It was such a simple way of showing how wealthy an area was. Chisana was suppose to be in this area to find the tower he was suppose to go to for the Grimiore selection ceremony. He was technically a noble but only a lesser one and since he had never visited the main house of the family he didn’t even know anyone from his family though his father had told him that there would definitely be someone in the area that would help him. Apparently that was just something that the family did for those who awakened to their bloodline, they offered what they could to improve the person’s life and continue to build their family.
Sounded pretty typical of what a broken noble family would do if any of the history that Chisana’s father told him growing up was true having to run from their ancestral home just trying to survive and one day return to the former glory of their past. Chisana didn’t really care about restoring the family to it’s past glory but he did like the idea of showing the people of his village that his father wasn’t some delusional farmer who talked of how great they once were and how they were so important. It was still weird to think that he belong to a whole noble house including being part of a specific branch of which apparently there were twelve of them.
His father instructed him that they were apart of the Snake Branch of the Shengxiao which meant nothing to Chisana growing up and he could only hope that when he finally interacted with the rest of the family here that he can learn so much more about what that even truly meant. At least it was a sunny day with a light cloud coverage and wasn’t annoying hot or way to cold, now Chisana just needs to find whoever the guide was suppose to be.
