Midmorning. The once plain streets in the city center of Sosshi were littered with vendors. Many had awoken well before dawn to haul their variety of goods to the perfect spot to peddle the wares. The rising sun had brought the first patrons, but now that it had ascended further to the sky, the entire marketplace had been brought to life. In its fully lit glory, one could see the bright flags, rugs and banners that the merchants had tactfully placed to draw the eyes of potential customers. The air that hung between the many bodies was filled with the murmurs of exchanges: bartering, heckling, and even the occasional accusation of thievery.
Reika had long grown accustomed to the excitement of the street fairs, and had picked her spot with utmost intention, though to a casual onlooker may have assumed that the young woman was late, considering her positioning on the fringe of the bustle. Indeed, her own stall, could you call the large red blanket on the ground a stall, was much quieter than the rest. On display, was a large variety of items, all of which appeared to be handmade, assumptively by the maiden who tended them. The crimson blanket held jewelry, clothing, rugs, plates, talismans, and even a few decorative weapons. The young redhead sat on the edge of the sheet, her legs tucked regally to her side, tactfully hiding the well worn hems of her skirts. Her amethyst orbs watched as few people passed. She offered them quiet glances. The corner of her lips pushed upwards, seemingly unphased by the lack of constant visitors. Occasionally, she would beckon to a passerby with a coy smile, "It won't hurt to take a closer look..."
