From the way things looked, the two of them didn’t look like they’d be doing much fighting back at this point. Nightstorm seemed to take a more relaxed posture as he watched the mist begin to push them towards the plank. The two mages continued to back off towards the wooden appendage that hunt from the ship. As Kinsei spoke in response to her request, the female voice let out a gasp. “There are more of them now!? More than just one?” she asked. “In that case, tell whoever and however many you’d like!” she shouted out as they neared the edge of the boat. Nightstorm let out a sigh, “Please, show some restraint Captain.” he said.
With that, there didn’t seem to be any more resistance. It was as if the two of them realized that jumping ship was the only thing left for them to do, which was indeed, a wise choice. After all, now they had a couple of messenger birds to toy around with. Sure, maybe because of the scare they’d have some stronger mages coming to investigate the areas, but it was a small price to pay. Besides, whoever came around and tried to interfere with her plans were just going to be squashed anyways, and she would make sure of that. Along with her crew, the Granblue was unbeatable.
As Kinsei and Scarlett took a dive off of the ghost ship, it was mostly a freefall. Not only that, but due to having been practically whisked up towards the top by a storm of mist earlier, they were just now finding out how far up in the sky they had been. It was terrifying. However, luckily for them, death wasn’t on their agenda. As they were falling, clouds of mist extended from the storm of mist that seemed to bridge the ship to the ground, as if it were some kind of anchor. The clouds shot out and caught the two mages, saving them from falling to death… that or shattering nearly all of their bones, which would still probably lead to death. The clouds transported them safely to the ground, dissipating as they arrived. With that, the giant anchor of mist began to disperse. At first it was slow. The two mages could hear collective laughter from above them in the clouds, all the way up on the granblue. It was faint, but it was there.
Following the laughter, a powerful burst of wind emanated in all directions, coming from the ship it seemed like, blowing away all the mist, covering their vision for a split second. When it all cleared, the Granblue was gone, along with the mist, as well as all traces of there ever being an attack. Well, minus the injuries they sustained. Just like that, the two of them had managed to survive something that most of the citizens in Clover simply couldn’t. Thus, they were able to assess that there was more than just danger coming towards the Clover Kingdom. It was calamity.

It looked like Kinsei wasn't going to be getting any useful information from his question after all. The Kasai mage had to work at suppressing an audible sigh when it had been made clear that the Captain wasn't even sure who the current Prince was or that the royal family had more than one of them. The only bright side to this whole affair was that the information told him either they had never been to Clover Kingdom or it had been some considerable number of years since they were last here. He felt pretty confident that if it turned out to be the latter then such things had to be documented somewhere. Flying ghost ships just didn't go completely undocumented. If it was the former that led to even bigger questions. Flying ghost ships didn't randomly decide to invade kingdoms and abduct the citizenry. They didn't just choose Clover Kingdom on a whim. So either they had come before and were coming back for more. Or they had never been here previously and someone had directed them to come here and do this. In a perfect world Kinsei would have gotten an answer to that, but they were just lucky to be leaving the ship in one piece. He couldn't afford to risk angering the Captain, not when he was the only one in danger by doing so.
Ultimately, Scarlet either decided to follow his lead or simply came to the same conclusion he had. Either way she hadn't said a word, merely leapt off the plank the same time he had. For a second afterwards things were pretty scary. They had been promised safe passage, but watching the ground hurry fast approaching in their descent didn't make him feel like their promise had been in good faith. There was a heartbeat where he began to frantically reach for his broom. If the Spirits were willing he could manage to get the thing under him and focus his mana in time to activate it before becoming a human sized pancake on impact. He was already calculating on how he might fly over and get a hold of Scarlet before she too hit the earth. All those calculations though were eating away at precious time and he grew pretty sure he wasn't going to make it in time when suddenly the mist swirled around them, lightening their fall until they landed safely on the ground below. From above Kinsei could swear he heard faint laughter.
The Permeation mage had been about to look up and see if he could make out those laughing figures when the mist churned violently around them. The act blinded him for a crucial moment and when it had dissipated the fog was gone and so too was the ship. The danger had passed, but so too had any hope of getting more answers. The only thing left was to make his way back to headquarters and give his report. This little adventure had been enough excitement for one day. "Sorry that I got you wrapped up in all this mess. Thank you for your assistance with the ghosts and all. If you like I'd appreciate some company on the road back to a local Knight headquarters. Want to give a report, but find myself wary of traveling alone. If not that is fine. It was good to meet you and hopefully we can meet again under less auspicious circumstances." Kinsei would then wait to see what the other would do. If she joined him then he would head off to do exactly what he said with her in company. If not he would brave the roads on his own. He wasn't sure how helpful his report would be or even if they would even take him seriously, but he couldn't experience what he had and just go on with his day as if it hadn't happened.
