It was a beautiful summer evening. The sky coloured a warm combination of red, yellow and purple, whilst the dusk was setting in. Within the house Tiberius, the big eating hall was dressed up nicely. It was one of the weird moments where every single member of the House Tiberius had the night off, or had made the night off specifically for this dinner. It was an important one in many regards. Of course it was rather a rare moment for them all to share dinner, but this was a good test of showing the etiquette skills the members of the House of Tiberius had acquired during the years, months and weeks they had been there. More importantly, it was to celebrate the arrival of his actual sister, Tanya. Of course she was intended to be a daughter of his, but after a marvelous revelation, they had come to the conclusion that she was his actual long lost Sister he never had met before.
All of the staff was busy making sure the entire ensemble looked proper, dressing every person in the household up to the high standard that James kept them too, whilst James only had help from his Chief of Staff. Together with that, the chef had been boasting in the kitchen all day, trying to make a true noble dinner. It was important that he got all the protein's right, and for the evening he had ordered two garden hands to help him with getting all the right herbs and ingredients for the soup, the game and the other courses. The staff had worked their asses off, whilst the rest of the House Tiberius of course finished their work-days of their respective squads.
But now it was evening, around eight o-clock, and the halls looked beautiful. Chandeliers hanging down, and even multiple violin players were present to provide a pleasant background noise. At last, the clock sounded and James made his way over to the table. He reached for his mouth as he used his magic to enhance his volume to make sure the entire House would hear him, including those that were still changing or were occupied elsewhere. "Welcome everyone, to this dinner party for our House. You all have been here for a while now, but we have a new addition and a special one at that. As you all know, I have found my long lost, blood related, sister and we are here to celebrate it. Later this evening I have some announcements regarding our current standing in family, but until then. Let's wait for everyone to arrive and then take a seat." He said as he seemed rather skittish. It appeared that during times like these James didn't find it proper to smoke whilst dinner was happening and it was probably the first thing people noted about this whole ordeal.
Quickly after the speech however the man went outside and took out a cigarette from his jacket and lit it on fire rather quickly. He stood outside waiting for everyone to arrive and hoped they put on their best outfit. He knew very well that his house was a big group of rejects that no one ever loved but he, and now he had a new addition, a sister that he never knew before and was only lucky to be put away from the house by his parents. Otherwise she would have died too in that fire and explosion he created so many years back. It was a marvelous fire and hadn't looked back since, but now that he had a sister he had trouble keeping his mind of his horrific action. Would life be easier without her? Should he have denounced her? No he was only happy that a blood related family member never truly experienced the harsh regime of House Tiberius. After all, to the original house and what it was now, the current version was a piece of cake... a walk in the park. He had decided to accept his sister. Perhaps not as equal, but in his main branch where she was intended anyway.
At last, he just wished for the people to show up after he had finished his cigarette and he continued blowing out circles whilst waiting for everyone to show up to his dinner party.

“Like a bolt from the blue, the fastest mage alive, Speed of Sound Assassin Cicero Tiberius, is here first!” said sound mage ‘Speed of Sound Assassin’ Cicero , sprinting straight from the south side, sliding over a slightly askew windowsill, slipping through the glass portal’s slit and sweeping into his seat, sitting still in his suit as he stood by until supper. “Aha, first to arrive, as to be expected of myself.”
Of course, it wasn’t just that Cicero was fast, but also the fact that as soon as the call went out, Cicero was likely the first to head over, having dropped everything else he was doing at the moment in the name of placing first in what he considered a race. Namely he’d been taking jobs from the local underworld bosses, trying to make some spare cash. It wasn’t legal work, and he knew the Tiberius folk would disapprove, so he kept it under wraps and just made sure he wasn’t caught. Still, the most impressive feat wasn’t that he had dropped a dead body to run over and be here first, but more so that he even had time to change on the way, using his secret assassin arts to change on-the-go. James’s sense of high fashion was notorious, even the famously loud personality of Cicero wasn’t fool enough to challenge it.
In a similar sense, the roguish noble had to keep his little ‘side-venture’ a secret from the family, fairly certain of their disapproval despite his meticulous steps to keep it on the down low. ‘The Colosseum’, he was calling it, a sort of combat social-gathering place which, should it take off, would reap major profits. It was a bit unfortunate, but that cash would have to all go to Cicero if his Noble House didn’t want to be implicated in it at all… what ~ a ~ shame. In the same vein, Cicero wasn’t exactly in on everything that his own adopted family were up to anyway, it sometimes felt like it was on the streets, everybody up to their own thing with a call once in a while to break out the pipes to teach a sorry shite a lesson.
“It’s a sad state of affairs in the family, really. Even when we race to see who finishes their food first, I don’t only win by a landslide, but end up lapping you guys three times over!” Of course, he was the only person aware of such a race. With a few judgemental ‘tsks’, Cicero simply leaned forward in his chair to rest his chin on the table, watching James. “So, Big Daddy, what’s got you all up and froffy?”
[attr="class","ivarscroll"] Gnashing his teeth Ivar would come to wipe his left forearm along his brow, brushing the cold sweat away from his face in the process. Working on his task at hand with due diligence the would be mad scientist would begin to mutter to himself knowing it was nearing the time of the upcoming House Tiberius Dinner Party.
" The Wretch! The Enchantress!
I'm a damn genius, a master at my craft, a true Exorcist?...Diabolist?...Thaumaturge?
Theurgist?! Hmm...Needs some work... "
Leaning back while balling up his fists into his back Ivar would then pop his back with an audible crunch following before he'd come to activate his Grimoire, sea green smog covering the tables ahead of him. Following this a series of chains would snatch up the pair of bandaged, lifeless forms, returning them to Ivar's Four Leaf Grimoire's Graveyard Pages. Turning on his heel then the Wraith Mage would seek to exit his abode, which in itself was a small 20x10 meter "basement" or sublevel beneath the Tiberius family's greenhouse garden. It was there he had begun to preform his experiments on his new and future Special Corpses, perfecting them through the Necromancer arts his magical tome described to him in great detail.
Filling the underground room with required medical supplies and the like Ivar had begun to warp flesh, shift forms, already nearing the completion of turning Lorenzo al Giovanna into The Wretch and The Swamp Witch from Luparia's Grove into The Enchantress. Leaving behind his make-shift or rather improvised lab Ivar would make a bee line to his bedroom which was on the second floor of the family mansion, using a ladder he had set up along the rear of the home for easier access via his room's unlocked window. By time he had gotten completely undressed from his dirty and damp smelling clothes James could be heard throughout the house, his voice echoing via the boost of magical power.
This of course would put some pep into the Green Mantis member's step, slipping on his new set of clothes probably faster than he ever had before. Usually the last one to arrive on the scene Ivar sought to show James his further improvement, his growth, his evolution.
Sighing loudly he'd snatch up a small roach, one of his herbal and rose hips cigarettes that had been mostly finished with it's left overs awaiting him in the future or rather now/presently. Going on to then lighting it with a match, flicking the wooden utensil toward the same ashtray he had retrieved his smoke from. Exiting his room Ivar would then head toward the dining room, not running or even speed walking, but using the advantage of his lanky legs to make longer strides with each step. Because of this he'd be able to hear the voice and words of one of his own Tiberius' recruits, Cicero.
Coming around the corner Ivar wouldn't waste any time voicing his own opinions, smoke pluming from his maw in the process as he lazily exhaled.
" Sad indeed, more so that you think speed wins in the long run.
Anyways, where can you run to when surrounded by an army?!
Haha, all jokes aside, it's good to see my Branch of the family besting the others, I mean...I beg your pardon Brother... "
Sighing as he finished his smoke Ivar would take his own seat opposite of James, each of the elder Tiberius' now sitting at either end of the table respectively.
" In the end, all Tiberius win, it's plain and simple Cicero.
There's no I in team, but each chain is only as strong as each individual link.
