The mountain engulfed Castle of a base that was home to her family's squad loomed above her like the responsibilities she bore for that same group of aforementioned people. It was time to visit that group once more, more so than her immediate family she felt like meeting with those from the main branch. After all it had been quite a bit of time since she had last seen any of them, and wondered whom she would happen upon this today. Jolyne Vermillion had brought her long royal blue overcoat with her this day though it was not that chilled, the cold and snow did not often bother her and on this journey it was quite light. Her two long blonde bangs swayed in the winter wind that carried westward as it had for the last hour of her trek. Purple eyes now shifted down towards the entrance, the Oil Mage was curious as to whom would answer the door and how they would react.
While everyone was of the same nation the woman knew that the squads oft had a sense of rivalry overcome their sense of common, but regardless it could be an opportunity for fun or some nostalgic meeting up. Knowing how most of the Crimson Kitties, as she mentally called them, were jovial and honor bound she figured the worst thing that would happen would be a series of back and forth pranks. Whilst that spiral of reactive action responses could endeavor to stretch beyond the confines of a simple time frame such as one turn of the solar clock, Jolyne cared not. That would be a good memory to have stored within the space of her skull that imprinted such things. Another possibility was also some form of rough housing, if the Blonde Sheep of the Vermillion family knew that squad she knew that the majority enjoyed rough housing in some form or another.
As the possibilities swirled within her brains like thought form butterflies to an astral latern in a vortex of fluttering wings, the muscular woman would approach the door and knock thrice with a slight pause betwixt each to carry the weight of them further. Jolyne enjoyed being blunt in her approaches and having people aware of her presence so as not to startle others, thus she had never had much of a weak door knock.
"Anyone home? It's one of the less snooty Silver Eagles come to visit!" Jolyne joked in her sing song voice a grin creeping up the right side of her face as she spoke in a tone that betrayed her playful nature.
Waking up in the Crimson Lions base was always a refreshing feeling for Emily. Not that she didn't enjoy her place back at the Vermillion estate, but the base was more of a workplace for her. It also was a place of her own that she felt like she earned herself rather than the room she gained at the estate on the potential chance she was just some charity case. However, maybe after being around for this long she could let that feeling go. Then again, maybe she just had to keep continuing to prove herself in order to keep the blessings of her adoptive father. His motives came off as such a mystery to her so she'd never know, but it was just a thought that danced through her mind every now and then. It seemed like a pretty calm day at the base, which was scary for a den of lions. Calm wasn't exactly included in their vocabulary most of the time. Taking advantage of this mysterious sense of tranquility, the youngest Vermillion went ahead and took care of her morning ritual. Usually, Emily was not a morning person. However, she always managed to wake up at some ungodly hour in the morning. She was always so unwilling to move from her bed, but if she was able to just make it onto her feet, taking herself through her morning activities usually woke her up for good.
Emily got dressed in something that fit her usual approach to coming off as "casually dressed". The mage was dressed in a white top with red accents that left her shoulders bare and also came down as a cape almost, down to the back of her shins. She wore a red skirt that almost went down to her knees, as well as a pair of brown boots. She tossed her Crimson Lions mantle on over her clothing and proceeded to leave her room and head for the stairs. As the girl descended, she noticed the lack of activity which confirmed her earlier suspicions. As the Vermillion reached the bottom of the steps, she heard a lot banging noise that caused her to jump like a frightened cat. Her head shot in the direction of the door and there was a second bang. Emily blinked a few times before realizing that the noise was simply the door being knocked on by someone. The girl quickly started on her way towards the door before hearing the third knock. The Vermillion puffed her cheeks, "Geez I'm on my way to the door. Would ya quit knocking so loud?" she thought to herself, becoming slightly more agitated. The young lion opened the door and was met with quite the surprise standing before her. The young Vermillion saw the girl and didn't waste any time with her retort. "Less snooty? Didn't know that existed when it came to the eagles." she responded. She then tilted her head to the side, "Who are you anyway?" Emily asked.

The doors would open wide to reveal Jolyne's eyes blazing like the bright morning sun, an explosion of energy brought forth in the morning that while was not natural always blended well enough to fool people into thinking the muscled woman was in fact a morning person. Those same eyes would take in the sight of a person she had never seen before having not come to the Vermilion Main Branch estate since she had been rather young, their age gap being such that even if Emi had been there at the time both the girls would not be able to recognize each other now. Still Jolyne could recognize the tapping of a Vermillion in their clothing and so she would take a knee and bowed her head in front of the much shorter female before answering her question.
"Jolyne Vermillion, eldest born of the Second Branch of the Vermillion house madam Vermillion" her tone would retain the sing song quality as she was still in rather high spirits but a bit more respect would creep into it now that she was certain she was dealing with one from the Bloodline. "The eagles get less snooty once you paw them out of the air once or twice but they still retain their pride" Jolyne chuckled at her joking prod at her own fellow guild mates as she did enjoy most of them believing either truthfully or mistakenly that deep down most had good hearts. It was her way after all, she did not enjoy negative assumptions towards others and would not like to even lay them until proof was solidified within her knowledge of truth. That would lead down a baseless road of vengeance, an inner spiral consuming all on it's downward descent and would be rather unpleasant.
Returning to her feet and normal stature Jolyne would continue speaking after leaving a pause for anything the other Vermillion wished to state. "Is it always this quiet here? My apologies for not remembering, but what is your name again? I came to reconnect with the main branch and discuss some troubling things I have seen out in the commons. Most of it is conjecture at this point but in full honesty there are a few things I will have to be more serious than I would like and the Vermillions need to be privy to this information. Besides that it truly has been too long since I have chanced myself back this way and it feels like a crime to be separated for so long." With this towards the end of her speech, her voice would descend in volume from it's normal boisterous nature and Jolyne would cast her head slightly down ensuring all the sound vibrations would go to Emi, the ground and into the sky and thus even if someone was mere feet away they would be unable to hear it but to Emily Vermillion the words would be as clear as a bell. Of course this all being said Jolyne would prefer to be upbeat but with the group that Zaven was chasing, outside of the Golden Dawn's influence she may note, and also this Dran character who's views were much akin but more violent than her own could be two groups that could threaten noble strength and while she did not have much solid knowledge on it, a general heads up was better than leaving her family in the dark.
Emily was surprised to say the very least. Jolyne had a much more commanding presence than quite a few of the people that Emily had come across in her lifetime. Dran and Yuurei were pretty powerful when you took a look at their mana, but Jolyne just looked physically powerful. She was a fairly muscular woman, with a big frame. Emily almost didn't want to question herself anymore about it, but the woman even took the time to bow down before the Vermillion girl. After Jolyne spoke, Emily realized that it was just for the sake of introduction, but did she really have to go all the way down to her knee? Sometimes she just wasn't used to as much formality as she felt like she needed to be. Emily was taken back a bit. "Another Vermillion?" she thought to herself. "Wait no...she said the second branch. So does that make her my cousin or something?" she pondered. It was certainly a surprise to see a Vermillion outside of the main branch, but even more of a surprise to see another female. She was blonde instead of possessing some hue of red for a hair color. Interesting. Despite her large presence and terrifying physical structure, the little joke she made in regards to her won squad mates was enough for the flaming-haired girl to realize that maybe she did have some sense of humor. She'd never had a sister before, so what would this experience be like for her?
The youngest Vermillion put on a smile as Jolyne rose to her feet. After that, the blonde began to speak again. Judging by some of the things she was speaking about it all seemed pretty serious. In fact, the eagle herself even said it was serious and that she wanted to keep the rest of the Vermillion's informed. Emily figured that if anything out in the commons existed that happened to be that dangerous then maybe she should know about it. As far as she know, the Crimson Lions, namely the Vermillion family, were usually the ones more involved in the common and forsaken region's affairs. Most other noble families wouldn't even bother with the thought of getting involved with commoners. For that simple fact, the girl was interesting in what this cousin of hers had to say. "Well yeah I guess it has been a while since either of us has seen each other. I'm Emily Vermillion. Since I'm from the main branch I'm guessing that makes us cousins." she clarified after introducing herself. The flaming-haired girl nodded and moved to the side in order to allow Jolyne inside if she so chose to do so. "Well all of this stuff sounds pretty interesting. To answer your earlier question...it's never this quiet in here, but all the more reason to take advantage of it now I guess. The Vice Captain and Captain haven't started uh...doing what they do yet I guess, and most of everyone seems to be either away or asleep. Come inside if you'd like and we can sit down and talk about this properly." the girl explained.
If Jolyne chose to accept, Emily would sit down at the nearest table. "So what kinda stuff are you talking about Jolyne?" she'd ask.
