Vulkan was thankful that he was able to take care of his lizard as quickly as he did because he saw what was happening to his two charges, and that didn't bode entirely well. Rosalia landed flat on her rear, and Sabrina had been hit by the creature which wasn't much better. He had miscalculated that these two were still rookies, he was so use to fighting with Zaven, and Sylvester he didn't think for a moment that these two couldn't handle themselves that well yet, and he mentally berated him. Anger rolled off of him in waves, and he was disappointed that he had been so foolish. Heat built up around him again as he activated his two physical reinforcement spells once again increasing both his strength, and speed once more. His grimoire flaring to life dangerously as he closed in quickly on Sabrina's Lizard. And without hesitation or remorse he plunged his molten fist through the creatures back, and out the front of it's chest.
Boiling it's insides from the intense heat, and killing it almost immediately, he removed his arm from it's chest, and then he sped across the way to Rosalia. He was only acting at this point not bothering to think about anything other than keeping them both safe from harm, but he knew he wouldn't make it to the crimson haired girl in time. So he had to adapt quickly on the fly...No one will be lost here... was all he could think to himself.
"Lava Creation Magic: Lava Strike! Lava Creation Magic: Lava Spear!" he roared the spells sending both of them at the lizard creature, and he watched as they crashed into it. His orb smashing into the monster catching it off guard, and leaving it wide open to be impaled by the spear that followed soon after it. Vulkan was obviously not playing around anymore, that slight moment of panic sent him flying into full fight or flight mode. And since he didn't have wings there was only one option left to him. Looking around to make sure that there weren't any enemies left he finally let his claws, and speed spell fade. He had used a bunch of his mana in that instance, but they were alive, and that was all that mattered to him. Walking over to Rosalia who was still on her rear with a very charred lizard corpse near her, he extended a hand to help her up.
Once that was done, and she was off the ground he'd walk over to check on Sabrina who was the one who had been wounded, though it looked like her mana skin had taken the brunt of the damage for her. He was still so angry at himself for his miscalculation, but he wouldn't make that mistake again. After making sure that she wasn't seriously injured he did his best to reign himself in, he couldn't lose his composure right now. It was just a training dungeon so there was no need for him to get so riled up so quickly. Looking over his two charges he sighed a bit, and ran his hand through his long silvery hair.
"I'm glad your both okay...I was worried..." was all he said as he did his best to catch his breath. He was actually down to below half of his mana reserves now...It was an interesting feeling, but he would recharge quickly.
Rosalia had managed to roll out of a single foot stomp successfully, but only just barely. Her breath hitched for a moment as she realized that she had fallen into that Lizards’ trap. She could only raise her two hands in front of her head in a meek effort to defend herself as she noticed the monster opening its mouth to spit a venomous attack at her. It was a horrifying experience. The woman had thought that the idea of “your life flashing across your eyes” was some sort of a joke, but no. If this monster managed to get venom into her eyes it could easily damage her vision…
Perhaps it was the overwhelming fear of the end, that she thought couldn’t be true yet, or maybe the hellish start on life that the girl had that made it feel like she’d only lived for five years, but she didn’t want to die. So Rosalia waited for the attack that never came. Instead, she heard a screeching noise come from besides her and a dull sound of something falling to the ground. The smell of burnt lizard, one that she never expected to be thankful to scent, wafted over to her and she finally dared to open her eyes.
Her red hues didn’t meet the terrifying gaze of her enemies, rather she found herself staring at a pale, unfamiliar hand. Quietly the woman took ahold of it and felt herself carefully lifted off of the ground and onto her feet. Vulkan had saved her. She had been saved, again. It made a bitter taste develop in her mouth as she glanced down over to the corpse of the monster that was supposed to be her opponent. Clicking her fingers, the mage dispelled the two wind orbs that were lying next to her opponent. I’m still weak… She scolded herself mentally before finally glancing over at where Sabrina was. The pretty blond mage seemed to have been hit by one of the lizards, causing Rosalia to immediately run over there as fast as she could to check up on her.
“Oh my, Sabrina are you okay?” The Wizardess asked as she bent down over the Golden Dawn member in concern. There was a genuine worry that laced her words as the grip on her grimoire hardened. Her eyes scanned over her ally’s injuries, wishing that she could do something about them.
Vulkan spoke, saying that he was glad that they were both okay, but that didn’t really take away any of Rosalia’s guilt. She hated it. If only she had been more careful, if only she hadn’t walked into that room first, Sabrina wouldn’t have had to distract one of the lizards and wouldn’t have ended up injured. Glancing away, the redhead bowed her head low to both of her teammates.
“I’m sorry, if I had been more careful this wouldn’t have happened.”
It seemed that no matter how many missions she had gone on, she still managed to get her teammates injured because of her shenanigans. She swallowed as she lifted her head, her eyes still avoiding those of the two Magic Knights that she was quickly growing to admire. First it was Silas and Cadence, now Sabrina.
Sabrina felt a wave of annoyance burst through her as Vulkan swooped in to take out the remaining two lizards in the room. To her this was his way of calling her too weak to handle herself. She made a small ‘tch’ sound in response to his ‘worried’ comment, which only seemed to rub salt into her already wounded ego. Yes, she was still fairly new to this whole dungeon thing and she wasn’t entirely used to fighting monsters quite like these, but she was a capable fighter and wanted to prove that to him.
[break][break]She had managed to pull herself up, no longer clutching her stomach. For the most part the initial pain that had been shot through her body had passed and as she had the opportunity to check herself properly she noted that her mana skin had indeed saved her this time around. Still, she had taken quite the hit to her system. If she wasn’t careful this dungeon may be her first and last.
[break][break]The candy mage forced herself to smile at the red haired mage as she came over to her, clearly concerned. “I’m fine, don’t worry, I’ve had worse.” she half lied. It wasn’t a very often occurrence for an opponent to land a hit on her and even less that they managed to actually do any real damage. In fact the last time she had been beaten up to a pulp she had only been around eight years of age. It almost seemed like a lifetime ago that she got into her very first fist fight. She definitely wasn’t at a stage as bad as that, but she would have to be a little less reckless for the remainder of the dungeon.
[break][break]“And don’t worry.” Sabrina would place her left hand on the female mage’s shoulder in a gesture of good faith, “It was my own mistake, I forgot that these creatures had tails they could use to attack me and failed to look out for it. You did nothing wrong….” the blonde’s lilac eyes would shift over towards Vulkan, glaring intensely before muttering under her breath, gritting her teeth so it was barely audible, “Unlike the jerk that stole my lizard from me…”
[break][break]Her lilac eyes would continue to glare in an attempt to drill her dissatisfaction of his actions into his very soul. She had many choice words for him, but for now she would hold her tongue. To be fair if it wasn’t for Rosalia’s kindness and concern she would have given the fellow Golden Dawn member a piece of her mind. Even if his intentions really were just to help them, was it really helping them grow as people if you always rescued them? No, people grew from learning from their mistakes and overcoming the odds. Or at least that’s the way Sabrina saw things.
[break][break]Sabrina took a deep breath to push her anger down in an attempt to calm herself, she needed to keep her cool, or she would continue to make more errors in her decisions. If she wanted to get out of this place in one piece she would need to ensure she didn’t lose her cool. Especially at the one guy that seemed capable of easily clearing out the dungeon by himself. Still, if he took away her fun again she wouldn’t hold her feelings back and show him that his magic wasn’t the only thing that could completely erupt.
Vulkan didn't hear the girls retort, or remark about him being a jerk who had stolen her kill. Rosalia was looking her over, but her injuries appeared to be minimal thanks to the protective mana skin that most mages had passively tied to them. Vulkan was thankful for that otherwise she would have been a goner, and then he really wouldn't have been able to deal with anything. All he could think about was Zaven, and Sylvester both in pools of their own blood as they had been impaled by enemies attacks, or how dangerously close they had been to death before hand. All because of his own hubris, and he would not let that be the case anymore. They had one room left on this floor until they were able to descend to the next level, he was almost out of mana, this next room was going to be rough on him.
But he had to suck it up, and make sure that these two managed to get out of the predicament they were in. Sabrina had taken a hefty hit due to the Lizards tail catching her off guard, and he sighed a bit, and when it looked like they were both ready the three of them would continue through the lit up cavern. The glittering gems cascading light down on them as he tried to recover as much of his magic as he possibly could before the next room. He wouldn't let them know how low his reserves had gotten, but it was enough that he didn't enjoy how it felt.
"All right you two...The next room is the boss room...I need you both to do me a favor, stay outside until I'm done...I can't have you guys getting in the way of my attacks...When my initial barrage is up that's when I'm gonna need you to come in...You guys are going to be the Aces up my perverbial sleeve...You two are gonna take on the Boss...And you guys are gonna win..." he smiled at them with nothing but the purest of confidence in their abilities. "But for that to happen...I can't have you getting in the way of me taking out the fodder..." he'd say with a slight laugh as he continued forward.
Taking stock of his mana he still had enough to do what he needed to do, but he knew that when he was done more than likely he was going to be incredibly vulnerable, and not able to do much afterward. That was going to be the real kicker is that he wasn't joking...Those two girls were going to have win this next match on their own...Taking a deep breath they came upon the threshold, and he looked at them both with a quick smile.
"You'll know when to come charging in...Trust me..." he said to them, and with a deep breath he walked into the room alone, taking stock there were only four enemies present, but he knew that these weren't the real threats. "Lava Creation Magic: Magma Splash!" the spell escaped his lips roughly as the basket ball sized orb of lava sprang from nowhere, and launched towards the four lizards.
One of the creatures managed to avoid it in time, but the others were caught in the mini explosion, and being sizzled. Snarling that he had missed one of them he was soon surrounded by the four creatures as they came after him like a pack of snarling beasts. He had always wondered what it was like being surrounded by a pack of wolves, and this was it...This was the feeling that he knew he would feel in that scenario. The four of them came after him at once...A smart move if he had been any other opponent.
"Lava Creation Magic: Volcanic Pit!", and not one, but two pits opened up snaring all four the creatures at once as he held the spell swallowing the four of them at once. He knew that he could finish off at least three of them with his next attacks. "Lava Creation Magic: Lava Pillar! Lava Creation Magic: Lava Strike!" he roared the spells out as they soared through the air towards the sinking creatures striking them hard killing three of the targets, and leaving one of the lizards severely wounded. His stamina at this point was essentially zero he could cast a few more of his weaker spells, but he didn't have much left.
However his plan worked like a charm as he was slammed into hard by the creature that he had hoped to draw out. Pain wracked his body as he was slammed into with the force of what felt like a rock. Being pinned against the wall by a large scaled claw, that was slowly peeling away at his protecting daring to tear into his flesh, and he felt the pain building up easily. The creature didn't know that the other two were outside right now, it was why he had asked them to stay put so he could draw this one out. If the others were large then this one was huge as it easily towered over Vulkan by a few feet, and was holding him against the rocky wall snarling at him with it's open maw. Poison dripping from it's fangs. Hopefully they would come rescue him...For once in his life he was the damsel in distress...Well as in distress as he could be...
Battle Breakdown: Vulkan went full ham, and unleashed as many spells as he could at once to get rid of the Fodder. One of the normal Cavern Lizards is still alive, but is being melted as he sustains his pit. However Vulkan is currently pinned to the wall by the Royal Lizard who is not happy that someone invaded his turf at the moment. Vulkan has taken Intermediate damage, and is currently praying that the other two will swoop in, and start whooping some tail since they have the element of surprise.
Name of Spell: Lava Strike Elemental Type: Lava Rank & Spell Type: Junior | Attack Creation Range & Speed: 30m | 10 m/s Mana Cost: 10 Stats Effected: Single Target Applicable Perks: Overpowered Description: The most basic attack in Vulkans arsenal, by creating an orb of floating lava in his palm he launches it an opponent. It's roughly the same size as a baseball. When they get hit by the orb it will cause 1st degree burns immediately. For every 10 control that he has he can create an additional orb, to strike at his opponent. Note that each new orb doesn't increase the damage it just makes it easier for him to hit them, or he can target other enemies with the other projectiles.
Name of Spell: Lava Pillar Elemental Type: Lava Rank & Spell Type: Junior | Attack Creation Range & Speed: 10m | 10m/s Mana Cost: 10/5 Stats Effected: N/A Applicable Perks: Overpowered Description: Another simple offensive spell at least in damage output. By channeling a large portion of mana at once he will simply stomp on the ground, and force it through the earth towards his opponent. When his spell reaches it's destination it will erupt from underneath, and attempt to overtake whatever he is unleashing it upon. The pillar itself is 8 feet tall, and has a 4 foot diameter, so it can encompass most enemies that are normally sized. The moment they are hit they will suffer immediate first degree burns. This spells actual power comes in the fact that Vulkan can sustain it, and make it chase an opponent at least within it's range. So he can sustain the spell, and keep popping the pillar up anywhere within 10m of himself. For every 10 control he has he can make an additional pillar appear.
Name of Spell: Magma Splash Elemental Type: Lava Rank & Spell Type: Junior, Attack Range & Speed: 25 meter range, 10 cm AoE, 10 m/s Mana Cost: 10 Stats Effected: Description: This spell is designed for taking on multiple opponents at once, creating an orb of lava in his palm the size of a watermelon, he will hurl it at a group of enemies. When it makes contact with something it will "detonate" exploding splashing lava all over the area of effect. The person that was hit initially will suffer from minor 2nd degree burns, making moving incredibly painful, while those who are in the secondary effect area will suffer from 1st degree burns on whatever part of their bodies that were hit.
Name of Spell: Volcanic Pit Elemental Type: Lava Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate, Attack Creation Range & Speed: 40 Meter Range, 20 m/s, 20 meter AOE Mana Cost: 20/10 Stats Effected: N/A Applicable Perks: N/A Description: This is perhaps the nastiest spell in his arsenal of yet. After unleashing the spell the ground in the targeted area will tear asunder creating a molten chasm that is 20 meters wide, and long, and 20 meters deep. Forcing whomever is within it's radius to fall down into the molten depths of this spell, and escape before they are incinerated. Anyone caught within this get immediate 2nd degree burns, and for every post that they remain within it, continue to suffer those burns. When he cancels the spell the chasm will stay, but the molten heat will dissipate immediately returning the area to it's original temperature. For every 20 points in control that he has, he can create another chasm.
Even though Sabrina told her that she was fine after taking the hit and got up, the red-haired mage was still concerned. Her ruby eyes glistened as they scanned through her body with evident worry. As she felt her ally place a warm hand on her shoulder, she felt a little bit more reassured that Sabrina was indeed alright. As much as she wanted the guilt to drop from her shoulders, at this moment the woman still blamed her own reckless actions for the blond lady taking a hit.
The depressing emotion was wiped off of her mind however once the Golden Dawn female glared at Vulkan. He may not have been able to hear what Sabrina had muttered under her breath, but Rosalia definitely could and a feeling of light panic crossed her. If her two partners were fighting, they would barely survive this “Training Dungeon;” in fact Rosalia found NOTHING “Training” about the place at all. Her body and mind had been travelling between stressed, adrenaline-rush survival-mode and guilt since the moment she entered and if her two partners got into a fight, someone could get seriously hurt.
“I’m c-certain he was only trying to help you, Miss,” The female uttered out, unsure of how to proceed with the situation. She was used to calming down angry customers however angry magic knights were a different story. Especially considering that they were running through a dungeon in which they could probably die…
The panic in Rosalia’s voice would only rise as Vulkan spoke up, telling them that the next room would be the Boss room. It wasn’t exactly what she wanted to hear and when he said that he wanted them both to stay behind so that they would be the ones taking on the boss later, the red-head blanked.
Why had she decided that it would be good to attain combat practice in a Dungeon of all places. This one in specific was famous for training Magic Knights, something that she wasn’t and clearly wasn’t prepared to be. Her confidence to be able to survive through this dungeon was slowly withering away as she watched the white-haired male near the entrance to the Boss room and told the other two to trust him.
Once he was no longer visible, Rosalia would look over to Sabrina, an uncertainty present in her eyes as she asked her “He’s joking right? This is some kind of bad joke?”
The two could barely take on a normal Cavern Lizard without being hit or having their eyes nearly burned through with poison and he wanted them to take on and defeat the Boss on their OWN??? Taking in a deep breath and shaking off the shiver that was crawling up her spine, the woamn would approach the entrance to the Boss room. She was hoping sincerely that they were capable of doing what Vulkan believed them to be able to do.
After inhaling and exhaling once more while silently praying that Sabrina was coming with her, Rosalia stepped through the little threshold into the boss room, her fingers gripping her grimoire tightly. Her ruby eyes widened when she immediately saw the position that Vulkan had gotten himself into.
A lizard, much larger than the previous one that the trio had fought was pinning down the Golden Dawn member mercilessly with a paw. The monster was, in fact, so focused onto Vulkan that it hadn’t noticed the other two of the group enter the room. As Rosalia watched it open its large teeth-ridden mouth, her eyes darted around the room to get the Magic Knight out of its grasp. There was no time for plans and doubts, she realized this and decided to, for once in her life, throw herself out there for someone else’s skin.
“Wind Creation Magic: Cutting Wind!” The red-head called out, her grimoire flaring up instantly in a pale green light and floating up next to her. The vocalization of those words grabbed a hold of the mana in the air above the Royal Cavern Lizard and summoned to crush down upon the monster. It turned its large glowing gaze to her so in a spur of the moment decision she decided to flip over her grimoire’s pages and throw in a second spell.
“Wind Creation Magic: Misbehavior.” The woman pronounced quickly, enveloping her arms in a pair of decently-sized spheres of wind before throwing them at the creature, hitting it straight in the face. There was a luck factor involved in this situation as the monster would have to let Vulkan go in order to move towards the female pair. Rosalia tilted her head. Or perhaps that was the white-haired male’s idea all along. If the beast had held him down it wouldn’t be able to move towards them, and if it did let him go, it would release the strongest member of the three…A little look of awe came over the wizardess for a brief moment as she caught onto this little tactic.
Rosalia knew that her spells weren’t exactly strong individually, and one of them could barely do damage to a monster so much stronger than ones from earlier… but perhaps if she wasn’t so afraid to spend more mana she would be able to do more substantial damages.
After this little display, there were good news, and there were bad news. As the huge reptile growled at Rosalia, she watched its large claw release Vulkan. This was a positive considering he was the strongest mage in the group and the female was not ready to have the death of a young man she had barely met on her mind.
The bad news was that the giant angry lizard was now going straight for her, and upon realizing that, with a loud scream, the red-head decided to run for her life. Fortunately this room was much larger than the previous ones, so she had enough space to dash through for a while, even though as she looked back, she knew that the Royal Cavern Lizard would catch up to her.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Summary: Rosalia is running around the room in panic as she managed to get the dangerous reptile off of Vulkan, without thinking of the reprecusions...

[attr="class","sabrinatext"] Sabrina simply blinked a couple times in response to Vulkan’s ‘concern’ for the two girls. Of course they were both alright, it was just a small mistake on her part, she wouldn’t let it happen again. The candy mage clicked her tongue in annoyance as the magma mage began to give them orders for the next room. She couldn’t deny that he was stronger than probably the two of them combined, but did he really have to be the one to instruct them after he so rudely stopped her from getting her revenge on the lizard that had struck her?
[break][break]Taking a deep breath to calm herself again, she listened carefully to what he wanted, it seemed he plan to basically rush the next room while simultaneously granting them the opportunity to fight the main boss of this floor in the dungeon. Well, that wasn’t so bad of an apology she guessed.
[break][break]Sabrina would take her eyes off of the silver haired for a moment to glance over to Rosalia as she spoke, “Pretty sure the idiot is serious.” She huffed lightly under her breath still slightly annoyed. Still, we was offering them the chance to fight a bigger opponent and while still she wasn’t entirely in the mood to take orders from the lava mage right now she would force herself to do so.
[break][break]Her lilac eyes glistened in the light from the magma mage’s magic as she stood behind the entryway as he filled the cavern with his lava. Despite her current dislike for him she couldn’t deny he was definitely far stronger than she was, she would definitely need to train after this was all over to ensure that would no longer be the case the next time they fought side by side. She hated this feeling of being pathetically weak compared to most of her squad.
[break][break]As he was finishing up the gigantic royal lizard charged at Vulkan, pinning him against the wall. Sabrina smirked at his inability to dodge out of the way in time, part of her wanting to leave him there, squashed against the stone and the creature’s paw, to squirm a bit longer. Unfortunately, as she stood watching pinned down, she had forgotten about Rosalia who was already moving in an attempt to help rescue him, casting her wind magic and taking full advantage of the fact they could take it by surprise at this point.
[break][break]The blonde didn’t move right away to follow suit, instead waiting to see what this woman was made of. She seemed to use wind magic, which she had to admit did suit the red haired woman. It wasn’t long after she cast her spells though that the giant of a lizard would move its attention away from Vulkan and towards Rosalia, eventually resulting in it chasing her about as she attempted to outrun it.
[break][break]"Guess this is where I jump in.” Sabrina murmured, knowing that if she didn’t act fast her new friend was going to end up as breakfast for the large lizard. The candy mage unclipped the grimoire from her belt, allowing it to float beside her as it began to glow a faint red, her lilac eyes following suit as they swirled and changed colour to match the glow.
[break][break]“Candy Creation Magic: Sugar Rush.” She whispered to herself while holding her left fist tight, feeling the mana surge inside and manifest into a physical form of a small, round, incredibly sweet, grape flavoured candy that glowed a pale red much like her grimoire. The blonde promptly placed it into her mouth, feeling the sugar hit her body causing her to shake slightly before racing off towards Rosalia. She wasn’t quite as fast as the lizard, but she was definitely quicker than she was naturally as she raced towards the redhead who would soon be the one trapped. ‘Not… gonna… make… it…’ She grimaced as the realisation sunk in, there was one thing she hadn’t tested yet in real combat, but it could possibly work. ‘Ugh… please…’ She prayed as she started manifesting mana once more into her fist as she ran, her grimoire flipping open to a new page.
[break][break]“Candy Creation Magic: Gatling Gumball Gauntlets.” She yelled out as quickly as she could, instantly shoving the gumball into her mouth along with the other sweet, chewing on it to release a burst of magic to spur from both her hands as they coated themselves in a pink gum like substance that took the shape of ordinary gauntlets, with several small holes at the ends that forced her hands to clench as it hardened around them.
[break][break]Rausing her fists up she would punch the air once with each fist, sending out two barrages of small gumballs from her fists that exploded as they hit the beast. This was her only ranged attack, as such she couldn’t do much else from this distance. Fortunately, it seemed like it would be enough for now as the creature slowed down its chase to turn for a moment and glare at the blonde, before deciding the candy mage wasn’t too much of a threat after all and continuing to race after Rosalia.
[break][break]“Damnit…” Sabrina muttered, hoping that the small amount of time she’d given the wind mage would be enough for her to figure out a way to escape her impending doom. The candy mage would then glance over to see if Vulkan had managed to recover enough yet to jump in and aid them. As much as she hated to admit it they definitely could do with his help right now. This creature didn’t even seem phased at all by her attacks like the smaller ones had been and she was worried that without the grey haired male’s assistance Rosalia wouldn’t survive this encounter much longer.
[break][break]Regardless of whether he’d choose to step in and help or not she would continue racing after the creature, preparing her gauntlets to fire more rounds as she approached it from behind.

He didn't know how long he had been pinned there, but suddenly Rosalia showed up, and she stepped up to the plate. Up until this point she had been hesitate to take the initiative, but it appeared watching Sabrina fighting along with himself had apparently awakened within her as she stepped into the ring, and stopped hesitating. Launching her own spells at the creature causing it some damage, and then it turned it's attention to her. Dropping him to the ground like a sack of potatoes he grunted as he stood up. Sabrina had entered the room late completely voiding the surprise that she could have had with him still pinned to the wall...He didn't like people who hesitated like that...That's how your allies got hurt, or worse...Killed. He would reprimand her later, but he knew that he was very low on mana. They had done a significant amount of damage to the creature already. Whittling it down slowly, but surely.
Standing up he had enough magic left for two spells, but he didn't know if there was going to be something else that was going to jump out at them. Snarling he figured the least he could do was weaken the creature more so they could finish it off. His golden grimoire flashing to life as he channeled his remaining magic into the last two spells that he would be able to cast for them. After this it would be truly up to them, and just them. His stamina was drained, and he felt some blood trickle down from where the creature had him pinned. It was tough enough to hurt him through his mana skin which meant that they would have to end it quickly.
"Lava Creation Magic: Lava Spear! Lava Creation Magic: Lava Strike!" he roared as his lava took shape, and fired off the projectiles towards the Royal lizard. It managed to dodge his first Lava Strike, but it was smashed into by the second one, and then his spear lodged itself firmly in it's shoulder. Slowly burning him, Vulkan smiled at how nasty that particular spell was...If the lizard didn't remove it, it would continue to damage him. Even if he did take it out it would cause damage to his hands. Either way he won...The Royal Lizard snarled at him, and ripped the spear out of his body causing further damage to his claws, and hands. It was particularly happy with him, but that didn't matter. Now it was easily weak enough for the two girls to finish it off, and he just smiled at them.
"It's up to you guys now...I'm spent..." he said to them as he became a bit wobbly his reserves finally empty for the first time in his life. At least that he could remember. The creature was obviously not very happy with him, and charged at him once more, slamming into him with a very forceful shoulder charge. Knocking him back into the wall that he had just pinned against. Vulkan just gritted his teeth, and smiled at the creature. It was strong, but it wasn't very smart...Now the two women with him would be able to crush this thing, and after they rested they would be able to tackle the second floor of the dungeon...
At the end of the day this only proved that no matter how strong he was, even he had to have some help every once in a while. To him that was unacceptable, he had to be strong enough to protect everyone, and he apparently wasn't there yet. Groaning at his lack of strength in this situation. He placed his hands on the creatures arm, and held him in place, forcing it to stay with him this time, and he roared out.
"Rosalia! Sabrina! Finish him!" he shouted, and he did his best to keep the creatures arm pinned to him refusing to let him budge more than was necessary. He had walked right into the trap...He had attacked Vulkan, and that was enough for them to end this.
Rosalia was not one for screaming and running for her life. She was used to running around from one of her jobs to get to the other one on time; Used to holding back her need to scream at a noble for being disrespectful, but neither of those two ocassions were anything remotely similar to the way in which she was performing those actions now.
As someone who didn’t want to die, the red-head had consciously decided to assume a standard running position, one she had seen both Silas and Cadence use on their mission in order to get to where they wanted to faster. Well, the only thing that Rosalia wanted to do faster was get out of the damned dungeon. She could swear that she was going to have nightmares of the giants creature that was chasing her for months!
Panting harshy, the wizardess wanted to applaud herself for managing to run around in heels, but the thought immediately vanished as she could feel the terrible breath of the creature behind her. It seemed that no matter how hard she ran, it wasn’t physically possible for her heeled human feet to outrun the being. At least not on their own.
A voice which she could now recognize as Sabrina’s echoed around the room. Rosalia could feel a shift in the air-space around her, and for a solid moment as she glanced over at the blond mage, her ruby eyes took in her interesting form. Her arms were coated in an interesting substance as her grimoire flared next to her. Had she said…Candy Magic? Surely she had heard wrong. Perhaps it was the overwhelming amount of adrenaline that was hitting her brain that made her process information in a weird way.
Whatever Sabrina had done, it put a distance between Rosalia and the Royal Lizard, and the red-head could only mentally worship her new friend as she continued to sprint. At least there was another minute of life that she could enjoy on her adrenaline high. What was it that she would regret not doing? Becoming a Magic Knight, Travelling the World, Helping those in need… What were dreams when she was about to become Reptile food?
It was a sudden screech behind her that made her stop and finally catch her breath. Lifting up a hand to wipe a bead of sweat off of her forehead, the woman took in as many puffs of air as she could trying to calm her speeding heart down. Reimbursing her body with oxygen was her first line of duty as she turned to watch the monster behind her snarl. The spell that was lodged into it was one that Rosalia was quickly growing to recognize as belonging to Vulkan. His spells looked particularly painful, and for this once, the wizardess was happy that they were.
Closing her eyes for a brief moment as she managed to refocus her vision and wipe more sweat off of her, the red-haired mage could only gasp when she saw the creature slam straight into the white-haired male who had dared to interfere with its meal. A part of her wanted to scream out in panic, as another wave of stress washed over her, but she knew that the idea wasn’t smart. Vulkan had just taken the damn Lizard off of her, again, and as she saw the fact that he was attempting to hold it back once more, her epinephrine-dosed brain seemed to lose all semblance of fear. She couldn’t hear what the male had said, only the blood pumping in her ears.
“Wind Creation Magic: Cutting Wind,” Rosalia called out as she opened her grimoire, its pages flipping over on their own as the air in the room swirled down upon the creature for one last strike. A part of her couldn’t exactly process what she was doing as her breathing stabilized. She had performed the spell so many times that it had become comfortable to cast, almost as if automatic.
When the damn opponent of the trio finally collapsed to one side, the red-head felt a wave of tiredness wash over her as her lips no longer needed to be parted for her to catch her breath. She looked over to Vulkan first, as he was the most injured of the three. Running over to the male, she kneeled over next to him to make sure that he was alright.
“You’re bleeding!” Rosalia panicked immediately as her ruby eyes scanned over his body. The tiredness from earlier was immediately replaced with concern. On her first ever dungeon, she had managed to get one of the Golden Dawn members injured while the other one got slammed with a tail. She really wasn’t good enough to be a Magic Knight…
Shaking her head, the wandering mage looked over to Sabrina, concern clearly present in her eyes as she addressed her ally.
“Do you know any way in which we can help him? I don’t know healing magic… not that I’m particularly decent at the magic that I know…” Rosalia asked, her genuine question was quickly followed by a series of self-depreciating mumbles that she knew the blonde wouldn’t be able to hear from that range.
-------------------------------------------------------------- Little Recap: Rosalia landed Cutting Winds on the Royal Cavern Lizard, defeating it. She didn’t have time to celebrate as concern for Vulkan washed over her like a cold shower and she is now panicking about how to stop his bleeding, no matter how minor or large the wound is. She hopes Sabrina would know how to help.

Description:Rosalia summons winds at 10 m/s to cut down on a location within a range of 25 meters from her. The winds appear in an area of up to 10 meters around an object of her choice and shoot down from above.
[attr="class","sabrinatext"] Despite her distaste for the man, she was still glad to see Vulkan jump in to throw a few more spells at the creature to help Rosalia out. He seemed exceptionally tired though, perhaps he had used far too much mana at once, she knew what that was like. When training her own magic she had to stop regularly to recuperate and restore her magical energy. Regardless it seemed his spells had been enough to capture the beast’s attention once more as it caught him in its grasp. Before Sabrina could redeem herself and her lack of input to this fight though, Rosalia had already called upon her grimoire and cast her wind spell which seemed to be enough to force the creature to collapse and fall to the ground.
[break][break]Sabrina slowly made her way over to where Vulkan had been pinned down by the mana beast to check he was alright. They would need him if they were to complete the rest of this dungeon, so she couldn’t have him dying on them now. Rosalia seemed very concerned for his well-being, going into a panic over seeing him bleeding before turning to ask if the candy mage had any sort of healing magic. She didn’t, at least not yet, maybe that would be something to learn in the future.
[break][break]However, she did have something that could help slow or potentially stop the bleeding completely while his body healed itself. Sabrina let the mana inside the candies in her mouth dim down, allowing them to become regular sweet treats that gave her no magical abilities. As she did this the pink gauntlets on her hands and wrists disintegrated into sugar that fell to the ground at her feet. She then spat out the one sweet that was used to increase her speed into the pile of sugar before chewing up the gumball that remained in her mouth till it was nice and malleable. The blonde mage would then spit it out into her hand and walking over to the magma mage. The candy mage would then stretch it, using a bit of simple magic to increase its size to a point it was enough to completely cover Vulkan’s injuries and stop any blood flowing out from his body.
[break][break]“That’s the best I can do. It should at least stop him from bleeding out.” Sabrina would mutter annoyed she had had to help him. “I’m no healer, so it won't exactly heal the wounds, but it’s better than nothing, I guess. Once we’re all feeling well enough we should get a move on, we don’t want to be here all day.” the blonde would would urge them before walking over to the opposite side of the room that they had entered from. There she would wait alone by the staircase that would lead down to the next floor, staring down into the dimly lit pathway as she contemplated everything that had happened to the trio so far.
[break][break]She was angry at Vulkan, sure, but she was more annoyed at herself for letting her emotions get the better of herself. The blonde knew she had acted like a child and as such had put her fellow comrades in danger. She would need to work on that. As the others rested without her she would calm herself down, that way she could bring the best version of herself to the next floor.

Vulkan immediately collapsed against the wall the moment the creature was slain by Rosalia. She had used his magic to create a sharp blade of wind of to slice the creature down the back, and finish it off. He was smiling a bit at her, and even Sabrina as the two of them had done well...For the most part. He was a bit dizzy, and he didn't know if it was from the fact that he had been rammed into the wall twice, or if the creature had managed to poison him. Either way he was slumped on the ground now, and Rosalia was the first over to see him trying to figure out a way to stop the slight bleeding that he was going through. Sabrina had an idea as she took something out of her mouth, and stretched it out. Vulkan looked a bit horrified at her using what appeared to be bubblegum to stitch him up.
He waved her away not accepting the candy bandage, though it wasn't personal he just didn't want the wound to get infected. Taking a deep breath he smiled at Rosalia as she was the one who stayed by him. Sabrina left to go sit guard outside he presumed, and he took another deep breath ash he pulled his shirt to the side, and saw the wound that the creature had left on him. This wasn't going to be a very pleasant thing that he was about to do to himself, but it was better than nothing. Afterward they could all rest, and continue on. He could have one of the healers outside the dungeon check on it when they left to make sure it wasn't going to get infected. Though now he had some new scars to tell his mother about, and she could freak out over him almost getting killed once again.
"I suggest you look away...This is going to be very unpleasant, and I know it isn't going to look very pretty..." he simply said to her as he held up his right hand, and concentrated an intense heat to it. His palm looked like it was molten hot, and then he took his fingers, and he shoved them into the holes that the lizard creature had created with it's nails.
He gritted his teeth as the pain consumed his entire being for what felt like an eternity as he cauterized the wound using his magic. It didn't sound pleasant, and there were a few popping sounds as heat met flesh, but he toughed it out. Using the wall as support as he endured the pain, he withdrew his fingers that were now slightly bloody from the now closed wounds on his shoulder. The scars would be ugly, but he could have them tended to if he wanted to, though he had to admit that he liked the idea of having scars...They told stories, and Rosalia would see what appeared to be a thin jagged scar across his chest before he managed to pull his shirt back up to cover his new ones.
"That...Was painful...But it won't get infected now at least...When we get out I'll have one of the healers check me out to make sure that I didn't just make it worse. I enjoy fighting at full capacity." he said to her with his usual polite smile as if he hadn't just gotten done searing his own flesh with his lava magic. "I think I'm going to need to take a rest however just so I can recover some of my mana...I was not as wise as the two of you..." he couldn't help but chuckle to himself at his own idiocy.
His body was against the smooth cool rock of the cavern wall, and it was a perfect contrast to the intense heat that he felt right now. It was almost like a self induced fever, but as he sat there he eventually cooled off to a normal temperature. He had hoped that he hadn't freaked either of them out to much. Though he realized he would have to apologize to Sabrina for not taking her bandage, but he figured she was tough enough that such things wouldn't bother her. He needed to sleep to recover his strength, but he didn't like doing that in a place that was filled with potential enemies. However they had at least cleared the first floor, and in his experience things either got progressively easier in the dungeons, or harder.
Staring up at the glittering gems as he relaxed, and moved his injured arm around every once in a while to make sure that there was no stiffness, and that he was going to be able to move it with a full range of motion. The last thing that he wanted was to be in a battle, and realize that he wasn't going to be able to lift his arm above his waist. At that point he would just simply cut his arm off, and treat it as if it were dead weight. He could simply cauterize the wound as he had shown before, though delimbing himself might be a bit more on the extreme side. Though if it were a matter of life, and death he would most certainly lose his arm as long as he could fight again later on. Specifically against the person who put him in that position to start with.
He wouldn't give up on his pursuit of strength so great that he could protect everyone, but even he was starting to wonder if such a thing existed...With a slight sigh he had become distracted by his thoughts he realized, and looked around to make sure there were no further enemies before he drifted off to a peaceful cat nap.The last thing he wanted was to wake up to several goblins surrounding him, and attempting to steal everything he owned...
Rosalia could only watch in astonishment as Sabrina spat a piece of gum out of her mouth. She then proceeded to stretch it out, somehow making it grow to a size, where the red-head had to rub her eyes to make sure she wasn’t imagining it, and stuck it onto Vulkan’s wounds. Rosalia wasn’t certain if it was the left-over adrenaline in her own brain or that in the blond male’s, but he denied the makeshift bandage with obvious disgust. In some weird part of her brain it was amusing to watch the Golden Dawn member pale at Sabrina’s attempt to help him out. Sure it was…out of the ordinary but at least she had tried.
It was a shame that it seemed that neither member of the trio had healing magic of any shape of form. It wasn’t a pretty feat when they probably had a whole other floor of Lizard monsters to go through. Perhaps she could try to utilize some of her more defensive magic to support her two offensive-based friends? She only knew two spells, but perhaps they could be of use either way.
Her ruby eyes trailed after Sabrina’s frame as she walked away from the pair that sat on the ground. She was correct that they needed to get some rest before moving on. Rosalia had completely forgotten about the fact that they were allowed to take breaks. One would come handy now considering the strongest member of their little group had taken quite the bad amount of damage.
Vulkan, despite being the most injured, still seemed to have enough pride to deny his fellow squad member’s help. Rosalia would watch as he moved his shirt to the side, and gaze at the wound with mild fascination. She had never seen an injury this serious before. As someone who was sheltered to the extreme until she was 16 and then worked as a fruit-vendor, a librarian and a waitress, the worst “injury” that she had seen was between a paper cut and a minor cut from a shattered glass cup. It took her a second to process Vulkan’s words, regarding him quietly as he lifted his hand up and focused his magic onto the tips of his fingers.
The red-head barely had the time to look away from him when the smell of burning flesh hit her. It wasn’t the first time she smelled something being ignited, but it was the first time that she knew it was human flesh. This horrible information mixed in with the vile sounds of searing skin made Rosalia’s stomach twist. Her face paled horribly as she covered her mouth with her hand, trying to hold back the contents of her almost non-existent breakfast.
When the male’s voice reached her once more she couldn’t bear to look at him. Rosalia had to push herself off of the ground and move as far away from him as possible. She needed to think of something other than the horrible smell of human flesh on fire.
Running a hand through her hair in exasperation, the woman tried to calm herself down. The shock from these past few hours of experience was hitting her hard, and she just needed to get away from the mixture of scents that was going through the air.
Walking away from Vulkan to let him rest, the girl leaned over on one of the walls of the room, trying to steady her knees. When had they started shaking? Rosalia swallowed as she let herself sit down quietly, pulling her knees against her chest as her back leaned against the wall. She needed a bit of silence, some time to structure the thoughts in her mind unto brighter things than gore, blood and violence.
