“Like a Rose Petal in the Wind, watch me Soar.”
Out of all of the places that Rosalia could choose to go in the Clover Kingdom, her second job out of Kikka took her to Kiten. She had read that it was a well-sized city, with large stone walls build around it to help fortify its defenses. Unfortunately, the location of the town made it a strategic capture-point for the Diamond Kingdom which would often result in scuffles between both countries. This time, the scuffle had resulted in several injured mages being scattered around the outskirts of the city and needing help. Rosalia was willing to provide that help as she had a day off of all of her part-time jobs.
The red-head had gone to bed early yesterday as her waitressing shift at “Au Fromage” had gone overtime and she was extremely tired. She hadn’t even had the energy to make dinner and had just quickly grabbed an apple in the shower before throwing herself at the full-sized bed and dozing off. Rosalia found that she had barely been able to give herself any free time recently, not only because of her multiple jobs but also because of her constant amount of training. Whether it was for fifteen minutes on lunch breaks or for two hours between work, Rosalia had been spending her free time mastering her spells and improving on the power of her magic.
The wind tore through her hair as she looked down at the Forsaken Realm, admiring its large open grassy areas and mountains. The mage had managed to snag a broom ride out to Kiten by asking around her co-workers. She was really lucky when she found out that her manager was indeed from the border-city and was going home for the weekend. A couple of weeks ago she never would’ve considered luck as something that existed, but due to her recent mission with Yuurei, she had learned to trust the outside forces of the world more.
“We’re nearing Kiten now, Zephyr. Hold on tight!” Her manager barked back at her as the broom suddenly started swooping down, causing Rosalia to lean forwards and hold on for dear life. Her manage was a terrible ride. The dude wouldn’t know what “flying carefully” would mean if it hit him on the head. Somehow the red-headed woman had survived a good couple of hours not totally freaking out about her boss’ terrible flying skills, but when it came to the landing part of the journey she was praying to everything good and evil that she remained amongst the living.
The strong wind suddenly came to a halt and Rosalia found herself opening her eyes inside of a large walled-off city. None of the residents really seemed to mind the newcomers. The Zephyr daughter got off of the broom and thanked her manager for the “pleasant” ride, getting a nod in return.
She sighed before taking out a scrunchie from her back pocket and typing her long red hair up into a high ponytail, as she always did when she meant business. Today she would be helping out the wounded, but she wouldn’t be doing it alone. There was another mage involved in today’s mission and it made her curious. Was it someone she knew or someone new? The woman could barely contain her excitement.
