A cold winter wind blew from the mountains, whipping its way throughout the streets of Nairn, sending various papers and other garbage into the air. Min sat on a bench near the edge of town. The cold winds did not suit her well, she had been raised in Raque for most of her childhood and teenage years. “Master Cain...where are you.” She said with a slight disgruntled tone in her voice. She had been informed back Cain, via a letter on her door, that she would be going along with him to explore a new dungeon that had appeared near the Azure Deer base. She had little information on the dungeon, but never have been in one before she was quite intrigued by the notation of such a place. The fact that Cain’s group was the first to go into the dungeon since its appearance was even more exciting. There was literally nothing they knew about the dungeon besidies where it had formed. For all they knew there could be a dragon or something else wicked lurking down there. As long as she was with Master Cain there would be no trouble. He was the strongest Magic Knight that she had ever witnessed, even Vice Captain Willow seemed to fall short in raw power to the man. She wondered how long it would be before the rest of the Clover Army took notice and gave Cain the praises he deserved, his acts in the Royal Knight Exam should have been more than enough to give him some bonus points in Nero’s eyes.
Her legs swayed on the bench, blissfully oblivious to the Magic Knight that was approaching her. While she was a member of the Azure Deer Squad, her magical talents would have probably been better suited in Coral Peacock or even Purple Orca. Her ability to sense mana was crude at best and her grimoire’s rupture was lacking in comparison to other Knights within the order. Why Cain would want to drag her along on this sort of excursion was beyond her. Lately he had become more aloof and tied up with work. He had spent a great deal of time at the Capitol after the exam. She wasn’t aware of the plot to kill the two Shining Generals. For all Min knew, Cain was slowly transitioning to be working completely out of there and become a full time member of the Royal Knights. She feared though, if that were the case, she’d never be able to be with him. The Royal Knights were so strong, she was puny in their eyes. Not even worthy of an offer to compete in the exam. “Oh Min! Are you coming along with me and Mr. Adams?”
Her solitary waiting was abrupt by the presence of an Ethan Sparrow, Cain’s other trusted confidant and partner within Azure Deer. In reality she should not have been surprised to see him here. If Cain had asked Min to tag along it only made sense he would ask Ethan to come too. Ethan’s raw power was much higher than Min, probably due to the bastard nature of his blood. Having a Greater Noble for a father must have given him some natural talents. At least that is what she told herself. “What are you doing here Ethan?” She said with a cold tone and even colder look.
