Due to recent events in the girl's life, Emily realized that she just wasn't as strong as she wanted to be. She didn't feel that she was giving a good name to the Vermillion family. So in order to fix the issue she had plans to ask her brother Magnus for some help. She figured she could always go talk to Forrest if she needed anything, but Magnus was who she needed to talk to right now. She also wanted to resolve her internal conflict in regard to her family memebers. Emily had this deep-seeded fear that her 4 siblings actually hated her guts just because she was an adopted child rather than their blood sibling. However, she'd finally gotten to the point where she wanted to hopefully get passed that fear for the sake of getting stronger. If she was always afraid of what she was, then she was always going to be afraid of what she was going to be.
The young Vermillion sat back in her chair with her feet on her desk, balancing the chair on it's two back legs. She took a deep breath and thought one more time about her situation. Her mind was almost able to tempt her into taking the easy way out and talking to Forrest, but he'd probably just tell her to go talk to Magnus. So then it looked like the decision was very clear to her. Emily let herself down and stood up from the chair. She left her room and took a casual stroll around the base to see if she could catch Magnus wandering around anywhere. She figured she had a low chance at that considering she never really saw him around much anyways. "I guess that means I should just go try his room then." she said to herself.
Emily turned and began to leave the main area of the lion base. The living quarters wouldn't be too far away from where she was, and she figured that she would find her brother there. "What if he tells me no or something? Should I really even ask him? Maybe I'll just be wasting his time. What if he's busy right now?" she asked herself as she walked. Her mind was doing everything in it's power to get her to turn back, but this time her body wasn't giving up so easily. This would be the girl's 5th attempt to make the walk down to Magnus' room to finally ask him for some help. She never made it the other 4 times due to self-doubt and feeling like she basically wouldn't be worth her brother's time. "I can't tell myself that unless I really know how he feels. I just gotta know." she said to herself as she continued walking down the hall.
The young Vermillion finally arrived at his door and raised her hand. Emily took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she clenched her hand into a fist. The girl knocked on the door once...twice...three times before she opened her eyes again and waited for a response. If Magnus was there then he'd probably come answer the door...or maybe he wouldn't. Then again there was the possibility that he just wasn't home at all and she'd have to try another time.

In his room alone, tended to be the most common location now days to find Magnus, especially every since he competed in the Royal Magic Knight exam, considering the fact that the young Vermillion was still being sort of a cry baby about his overall performance during the exam’s. Since though Magnus felt he did have the skill level and power needed to make the exams like all the rest of the Knights, he still felt that his display of power and abilities was a pitiful performance leading for his massive shut out from the world. As now the only thing that Magnus cared about truly was the training of his skills and learning of knew strategies and other ways to to take down his opponents. As Magnus knew that it wasn't all about brute force and physical strength and he still needed his mind if he wanted to overcome any opponent.
And over the last few weeks dealing with Missions throughout the Clover Kingdom, Magnus was starting to see that it was some magical skills that he lacked very much so, though it was fone of the Magical skills that he more or less looked down on, the young Vermillion still knew that he was going need to learn more about it if he wanted any chance of defending against it or at least having better chances of detecting it he was going to need to learn everything that he could possibly learn about the Illusion magic specialty, as it was something that Apollo very mcuh so lacked on in his training, then again Magnus wasn't much skilled when it came to the arts of Sensory magic with Sensory being one of his worst magical abilities.
Something that Magnus knew he was going to have work more and more on with the war advancing more and more. As Magnus knew that he was going to need all the training he could get before he was called to do any work with the rest of the Royal Knights, and he was more then sue that the Wizard KIng and NIco Silva Captain of the Royal Knights, would be calling for the services of those chosen very soon enough, and Magnus wanted to make sure he was more then prepared for when the day came up. Which was why he had managed to get his hands on all the best books that he could find in the Crimson LIon squad compound library, as he wasn't completely sure as to which mages in the Lions squad actually had skill in the art of Illusion magic.
As most of the LIons tended to be more straightforward fighters and didn't care much for using silly tricks like illusionary to defeat their opponents. As the LIons tended to be straightforward warriors who actually wanted to take down their opponents in fierce combat and not by some scape out. Though Magnus was sure it was still probably a few of the Crimson LIons that dabbled in the art of Illusions, though Magnus figured he would wait a little longer into his studying and training of defending against Illusion based spells before he actually sought out a user of the magic to test his skills against. As actually practice against another would be the only possible way for Magnus to truly better his skills and this was something that he completely knew.
Moments after Magnus had managed to finish reading another one of the chapters in of the magic books that he was currently reading to get his knowledge up, he would soon hear the sounds of knocks at his door. A sound that would slightly aggravated the likes of Magnus as wasn't much for social moments even with his fellow Crimson LIons in his current mood. Ashe wanted to do nothing more then train and better himself for the rest of the KIngdom, as Magnus knew that one of the annual Family meetings that Mufasa made mandatory for all of them to attend was coming up, and he was sure that his father was going to want to see at least some increase in his power from his last display at the Royal Knight Exam that did not go over to well. And who ever it was that was currently at his door was doing nothing but distracting him from that. Though Magnus figured that it could be of some importance though the last visitor just so happened to be one of his siblings as most of the Lions tended to leave Magnus alone as he was rather the mess with at your own risk type.
So choosing to avoid getting up from his desk and books that he currently set at, Magnus opped to yell for the person knocking on the door to just enter the room as the door was unlocked, and just as he figured the person behind the sound could only be a fellow Vermillion, though this was not one by blood, she had been taken in by Magnus father Mufasa when she was a child and raised alongside the rest of the Vermillion siblings after being disowned from her own noble family. Though Magnus and her were not as close as you could assume with him growing up mainly apart from the rest of the family, he was still familiar with his adopted sister Emily who was now entering his room. Magnus hoping that she got right to the point of her visit and wouldn't waste his time.
Emily stood at the door of her older brother's room waiting for any kind of response. Her mind was silently praying that Magnus wasn't around so that it had a chance at tricking the rest of her body to retreat and put off the encounter for another day. However, despite all of her shaking her body stayed planted at the door. The girl couldn't quite understand why she was so afraid of her brother. Family's were supposed to be supportive towards one another after all. Then again, the examples that Emily was given throughout her life of what a family was supposed to mean to her weren't exactly great. She was tossed aside by her own birth parents at such a young age. She still had no clue where they were even to this day. The church was nice enough to take her in and of course the women of the cloth there were always kind to her. However, the other kids, the closest idea she had to what a sibling was supposed to be, always made fun of her for being thrown out of her birth home. They even were able to add insult to injury in the fact that she was thrown out by nobles.
That's when the Vermillion family came along. Mufasa, her adopted father was very kind in letting her stay in the family. That's when Emily was able to consider her red hair a blessing. Despite being different and wielding smoke magic instead of anything fire-based, she was able to find her place in the family. The term family was also used loosely in that sense as well. She had plenty of siblings, lions in a pack if you will, however she barely knew any of them at all. There was Magnus of course, but that was about all she could remember. Additionally, even though she knew Magnus it's not like they were super close. Magnus was barely around for the most part, and now that the girl was thinking about it this is probably where he spends a majority of his time. It's not necessarily that Emily was scared of Magnus, or any of her other siblings. It's just that she didn't understand her emotions towards them, and she certainly didn't understand any emotion that they might or might not have towards her.
The only things keeping the girl rooted to the ground in front of Magnus' room were her undying determination to not be so much of a burden anymore, as well as her overall curiosity about her siblings. Were they powerful, could she get along with them? She wanted to make connections with this new family that she was supposed to have. At the end of the day, she wanted someone that she could depend on. Not someone who was there because she's a noble, not someone who was going to take advantage of her, and certainly not someone who was going to turn their back on her again.
Time was still ticking and Emily's mind was beginning to overcome her body's will to stay. "No answer yet? Maybe he's not around after all. 1...2..." she started.
The young Vermillion was cut short by the shout of someone from inside the room. Obviously the one inside was Magnus, but it still came as a shock to her. Emily took a deep breath and slowly began to enter the room. The girl slowly crept into the room as not to disturb her brother. Emily took a quick glance around the room, and more specifically at where Magnus was sitting. The girl let out a short gasp as it was becoming clear to her that her original suspicions were true. Judging by all the books that Emily could see in the room it definitely seemed like Magnus was busy. Though she had to admit that seeing him surrounded in books just didn't fit his image, or at least the image that she'd built of him in her mind. She always saw him as more likely to solve things with brute force, similar to the Vice Captain's style.
Although she would very much love to sit there and process all of the information she just received simply by walking into his room, she did still have to make her proposal to the older Vermillion. It was probably better if she hurried up, seeing how Magnus did look busy and he probably saw this as a huge waste of time anyway.
Emily took a deep breath in before letting it all out. "Hey Magnus." the young Vermillion started. She noticed that as she began to speak, naturally she aimed to look him in the eyes. However, she quickly shifted her glance away from his out of her own discomfort. "You look really busy and all so I won't take up too much of your time. I just had a quick request." the girl said. At the mention of a request the girl almost freaked herself out. What business did she have asking him for anything? The girl quickly clapped her hands together in a pleading gesture and continued talking. "I know that we're not usually around each other and now that I finally see you the first thing I have to say is that I need something from you. Some sibling reunion. It's just...I need your guidance." she finally got out. "Magnus you're insanely powerful, or at least in my eyes you really are. I want to get stronger to so that way I can stop feeling this guilt I have for being a burden for others. It's the worst feeling in the world for me right now and I don't know any other way to deal with it so please...will you train me? I understand if you don't want to...I mean after all, you're really busy and there are others who I could ask. But I want it to be you Magnus! I want to get stronger." she explained.
"Like I said before, it's not like I come and visit you everyday or anything, but I also look at this as a way to get closer to you. That way whenever I look at myself I'm able to see a girl from the Vermillion family rather than just some charity case that was lucky enough to be taken in to the family." she added.
