HAIR COLOR: Black EYE COLOR: Blue GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Tidy, neat, and half-proper. The spitting image of someone whose haughty flames of indignation have been humbled. For as much posturing as Zanarkan is capable of he can't present a strong figure. His shoulders are too close together, he lacks the height, and a thin frame denies him any of the presence he'd need to achieve that much. Even so, he dresses nice (mostly black like a true mourner), and acts with confidence. It's almost like he thinks he belongs there.
His sharp, focused, chilling stare is lacking in menace and force. A stiff upper lip keeps him from smiling, or looking happy in general, too often but a slight contentedness is baked across his other features. He idles loosely at attention since someone of noble birth couldn't afford not to hold the pretense of a straight back and square shoulders. Even when its all an act to repeat the truth. Despite his best efforts to remain clean and dust free, smidgens of dirt or detritus keep finding a perch on his clothes.
The only part of his outfit that is set in stone is a short cloak, that ends half way down his biceps, he wears around his neck to make up for his missing shoulder bulk.
Zanarkan was once mad at the world and the cruelties it had presented the noble-born lad in his station. An aggressive flame that clouded his mind and kept him craving greater luxury or wealth or importance or... anything really. He always found himself wanting more and never being able to wrap his hands on enough of "that." "It," just a formless hole and feeling of emptiness and lacking. THANKFULLY Zanarkan gave up on such stupid ideas for a nobleman when his dreams were utterly crushed when he realized he would never be a gold magic knight and he had to settle for a silver grimoire. Settle. The word describes Zanarkan Krane in great detail. He settled. The act of settling really made the magic knight candidate Zanarkan a great deal more tolerable than the pre-grimoire Zanarkan. He mellowed out in the act of settling. Developing an actual personality instead of existing as a constant tantrum when the nihilistic pressure of being denied the dream he always wanted washed over him. He took up chess and playing some sport (who really cares, he didn't) as a hobby to help deal with the stress. Thankfully he wasn't the heir to the Krane family so he could afford being uninteresting and a failure. After becoming a chill guy he didn't even mind when he was humbled again during the royal knight exam. He lived with it and developed a healthy mentality that helped him remain disciplined and calm while he trained. Zanarkan developed an appreciation for subversion. Before he was one-dimensional, only valuing damage potential, but part of being a mist mage meant thinking like the mist. So he learned whatever that means. He's a misty thinker, chill guy, and a proud but self-aware young noble.
Born to the scorned, and maybe slightly ignoble, Krane family was a sentence to a poor life of chastisement and not-being-as-rich-as-the-other-rich-guys. Life had less in store for Zanarkan before he could think. Before he could dream about it. The weight of past mistakes forced out malignant feelings from the child. With only a minimal understanding of what it all meant, why it all was, Zanarkan resorted to brattiness. His youth plagued by that fact, his parents often wanted little to do with him. Even when they had to since their blood wasn't good enough for 24/7 nanny care. Then his life became a burden, feeling palpable rejection from his carers due to his attitude and nature. Even when a youthful energy born from aggression separated him from his introverted peers. It was an awful world to be in. To be surrounded by "not enough" and to hurt others because of it. Thankfully that was only the first fifteen years of Zanarkan's life. From terrible and far-from-hopeful beginnings the boy set out to become a Magic Knight. After half a year of not-even-training he set out to spectacularly fail in the yearly exams. Only with the taste of defeat so present in his memory did Zanarkan decide to actually use the energy he'd found in his youth for something. He aspired to forge in himself a beacon for the path forward. A future for the Krane family. It required dedication to brutal training, but he set to the task with a rigid determination and became greater for it.
With his magic, he could create anything he wanted. Anything he needed. So rightfully gifted an armory of lies, he sets out yet again. Ready to become something of value.
GRIMOIRE: Silver ELEMENT: Mist, Glass MAGIC SPECIALIZATIONS: Attack Creation, Supplementary Arms CHARACTER PERKS:Cycle of Rebirth
Cycle of RebirthThose with this perk start out their new character as a base new character (Base Stats of 45). They gain 0% of their previous Spell Points, Gold, or Items. They gain 20 Spell Points, and 1,500 gold. They automatically gain 1 Grimoire tier above their previous life (If this Perk gains the character a Platinum Tier Grimoire, they will roll as random to see what type of Element that get from the Platinum Elements). However, if they are already a Platinum Tier they roll back over to a Copper Tier. You must make a new character and can’t use your previous Face Claim, Personality, or Magic Type.
Master at Arms: Those with this perk may cause their creations made via Supp. Arts to be able to exist while no longer touching them. These objects’ range is equal to 50% of a normal spell of its rank. This is increased to 75% a normal spell’s range once the mage reaches Grand rank.
Patience: This perk will do absolutely nothing for you! You must buy before you become Grand rank. Once you do become Grand Rank and own this perk, it will automatically give you two extra perk slots! Patience really does pay off!
COMBAT STYLE: Zanarkan has molded himself into an expert in a wide variety of martial weapons. His breadth of knowledge giving him an edge in combat by having the right tool for each job in theory. With a shotgun full of different approaches to take he's always ready to swap to working with a different method, tool or idea. With the entire package of his capabilities taken into account: he's prepared to take down anyone who steps into his arena of lies.
