I am a humble butler... Truly.
NAME: Gavrilo Berchtold
BIRTHDATE: June 28th
BIRTHPLACE: Aries Garse
OCCUPATION: Wandering Citizen
HAIR COLOR: Red
EYE COLOR: Red
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: What is most apparent from even the briefest of glances towards Berchtold, is his remarkably illustrious hair. Considering his hair an asset, he has always been one to ensure that his wavy, ruby hair is kept a presentable level. In order to not distract from his graceful hair, he keeps his face well groomed, always making sure to keep his bold eyebrows trimmed and perfectly seemly. Even when apparently lacking the means, he manages to ensure that he remains clean-shaven.
Despite his apparently lowly station and meager means, Berchtold insists on keeping himself well dressed. Favoring ostensibly well-tailored dark clothes. Generally, he prefers pairing long jackets paired with a cape, often with matching breeches and polished boots.
Berchtold doesn’t necessarily have a high image of himself, although he admittedly views himself in an horribly inaccurate light. In his eyes, he is a beacon of elegance and composure. He does not hold this self-image without reason, or without an attempt. At the very least, he makes an attempt to come off as gentlemanly. In many interactions he is quite cordial, but often falls short. If he does not believe someone is worth the time of--what is apparently a limited amount of--politeness he shifts into a needlessly into malicious rudeness behind the flimsiest façades of cordiality.
His failed attempts to come off as a gentleman are part of a general ruse of his. He will not have it known that he is a miserable, vengeful shell of a man. Although, he faces no greater enemy to the perception that he is anything other than a pleasant gentleman than himself.
Ever a disappointment, any attempt by him to be the same manner of con-artist as his mother has ended in unfortunate catastrophe. As often as he’ll attempt to lie, he has a bad habit of being spectacularly bad at it. Although he may lack a singular tell, he is always able to come up with new and clear tonal and postural showings of untruth. If that weren’t enough, he is often easily led astray and manipulated by others, due to his own pettiness and short temper.
While many children had the misfortune of being born to househounds wracked by a lack of steady employment, Berchtold was born into a family that reveled in it. His mother was a grifter. Throughout his young, curious years he had been given many different explanations for the whereabouts of his supposed father. The younger he had been the more audacious the stories were, until his mother had realized he was cognizant enough to realize the unfortunate reality. Even grifters suffered from gambling debts, and oftentimes, even the best weren’t able to weasel themselves outwhen the collecting body were illicit businessmen themselves.
However, Berchtold wasn’t sated to be in a single parent household for the rest of his life. His mother would eventually fall for another man; another with a shared love of the trade. Together they were legendary within the eyes of Berchtold. Without having to break a sweat with labor or any respectable trade, the two had kept the family fed, housed, and dressed well above their means. Once again, through an odd twist of fate, Ms. Berchtold had found herself with fondness with another crapshooter. This man had no real attachment to anyone other than his own hide. So where Berchtold’s father failed, he had succeeded: Instead of suffering the tragic consequences of his own addiction, he straddled a young mother and child with them. He left the two, and left them high and dry.
The indignity had wracked Ms. Berchtold with unfathomable feelings of betrayal. Once a sly grifter, her newfound debts destroyed her. Losing her silvertongue and will; mother and child slipped into abject poverty. Seeing the energy drained from his beloved mother had flipped a switch in the mind of Berchtold. Overnight he had gone from being an innocent child to a vengeful child who still had a child’s idea of justice.
Time and maturity failed to strip away his desire to see the man who undid his mother undone. It was this desire to see vengeance done that drove him towards the practice of magic. But with such petty goals, and the heavy specter of vengeance haunting him at every step, just how far is he capable of going?

Ease of Creation: This perk allows those with the golem creation spec to be able to control more golems more easily, only needing 80% of the required control stat for each golem they make. eg: Normal golem cost goes from 10 to 8
COMBAT STYLE: Berchtold is far and away from being an honorable man. His magic is based around a simple façade. He puts forth a very becoming and lovely image of pastries. These pastries of his hold dark secrets. Rather than properly engage in fights he prefers to lock an opponent down and terrorize them through claustrophobic bindings and his monstrous creations.
