As the current Vice Captain of Golden Dawn Tetsuya felt a sense of urgency come about him. He felt as though he needed to do more in his role. Not just do more with his squad but also increase his relationship with the other squads as well. What better way to do this than to talk to his most direct peers, the other vice captains. Sure he could have went and talked to them all one by one but that idea was selfish as it only benefited him. The better idea was to organize a meeting so all 9 of them could meet and talk to each other. It was probably one of Tetsuya's better and intelligent ideas.
So one day Tetsuya sat down and planned and organized it all. He sent out a invitation to each of the vice captains stating this "Hello *insert vice captain name here* I Tetsuya Vista, formally invite you to a gather of the 9 vice captains. The meeting will take place on July 31st at 12 noon, the location will be inside the Royal Palace in a small library on the east wing. I hope to see you all there." The letters were stamped with the House Vista and the Golden Dawn symbols and sent out to their destinations. Tetsuya would then reserve the meeting space, which was a small library in the palace. The space was the perfect size for the amount of people who were attending the meeting. And the last step was to wait for RSVPs. A week before the date he had confirmation that the vice captains of Crimson Lion, Coral Peacock, Purple Orca, and Azure Deer were for sure coming. However the rest were up in the wind.
Days, Nights, and weeks went by before the date would finally approach the day the meeting was to take place. Tetsuya made sure he arrived to the meeting location almost 2 hours early to ensure he was the first one there since he was the one to organize the whole thing. Looking back at the list of confirmed attendees Tetsuya chuckled a bit as he thought about the names. He saw Ardere which was no surprise that he was a vice captain. He knew Ardere was destined for greatness back when he first arrested him back when he was still just Ryujin. Another old memory came up when he saw the name Jett King. Long ago Ryujin and Jett had faced in the magic knight entrance exams. While it was true Jett lost that they it seemed to make no difference as they both still ended up being in the same spot regardless of the roads they took to get there. The other two confirmed coming vice captains were people Tetsuya had never met before, however he had heard of their exploits during the war something that couldnt be ignored.
The library was about the size of a large kitchen, and had several seats scattered about it. Tetsuya picked this place because it was relaxed and comfortable and provided less of a feeling you get when you meet with your superior, and provided the feeling that friends were about to meet, some of who were meeting for the first time ever. Tetsuya wore his usual attire of a grey long sleeve shirt with black pants and boats. Also accompanied by his purple messenger bag slung across his shoulder and his black cloak that beared a stitched Golden Dawn emblem on the right of the chest. Tetsuya sat and waited for the other attendants to arrive as he sat and watched as the clock would strike at 11:50 on the dot.
The war had a profound effect upon Jett, maturing him immensely even gaining the rank of purple orca vice captain just a year after the first attack from diamond. For the most part, he had lost his naivety and it had been replaced with an over cautious approach to most things that could end in combat. He could count on his hand the people who could match his defensive power and the same with those that could break through it. The strangest thing to pass, in Jett's opinion, was the familiar faces he had found himself fighting alongside, Ardere, Willow and 'Suke had all achieve the rank of vice captain too, though the crimson lion vice captain was already in his position before any aggression from the other side. Of all the people Jett had know along his journey as a magic knight, the strangest name to crop up as vice captain was Tetsuya, once known as Ryujin. The two had a somewhat intertwined past, coming up against each other when they both passed the magic knight selection exam. At that time, Ryu came out on top, earning the favour of all nine captains and choosing the most elite at the time, Golden Dawn. That status as the most elite squad was now in question, the action of their captain, Arthuruis, hurting their good name. Somehow, Ryu, or rather Tetsuya, had managed to work his way up to the second highest rank he could, which might not have seemed that bad for someone who had shown such talent from the get go but he had a dark past. At some point things turned sour for him, leaving the squad and attacking both the bases of crimson lion and azure deer, escaping the wrath of Lysander though at the expense of his arm. It was then that Tetsuya gained infamy throughout the order and the kingdom and when Ardere became renown. Tetsuya was defeated in battle by Ardere and sent to Balgon prison. It was then that Jett had his second run in with the golden dawn vice captain, though it was the first time he met him known as Tetsuya, Captain Jagen had vouched for the once rogue mage, giving him a chance to redeem himself on a mission along side Jett. Though the mission was completed without a hitch, things didn't quite work out for him in purple orca. After that, Jett was unsure what happened to him and the next time he heard of Tetsuya was in stories of his achievements in the war. So when Jett received a letter from Tetsuya inviting him to a vice captain meeting in the royal palace, he was surprised to say the least but meeting up with his contemporaries was a good idea and if nothing else, Tetsuya made things interesting.
Jett stood in his room, the biggest he'd had since joining the order, a reflection of his rank. He was fully dressed in dark leather boots that rose to his calf, dark pants tucked into his boots with two belts tied around his waist. One belt worked in the conventional sense, the second placed slightly lower served as a holder for grimoire. On top Jett wore a simple slim fitting white shirt that tooked into his leather bracers. On his shoulders was his purple orca robe, slightly different than the conventional robe afforded to members. From the front, it looked the same as any other robe but from the back, it came down as a cape with a larger version of the purple orca insignia. Jett looked slightly older than when he first joined the order but the main feature of note was three distinct scars down the right side of his face. Ready to go, Jett left for the captial at 11:50, using the aid of a spatial mage to transport him the the meeting point in a matter of seconds. the venue of the meeting was a library, though was quite small in size to what one would expect. In the room sat Tetsuya alone, surrounded by many empty seats. Jett looked around, confirming he was the first to turn up. "I'm the first to turn up? Good to see you again Tetsuya, what's new?" Jett took a seat to the right of him, two empty seat between them, waiting for the other six vice captains to arrive, he doubted the vice captain of silver eagle would turn up now that he was acting captain after the disappearance of Argentia Silva. Perhaps this would be a talking point of the meeting?
In the wake of death and decay; My heart bleeds to heal yours
Running, surprising how much that hurt after a while. The way the tendons move from the primed potential force to the kinetic force positions. The way the tension just is on edge and breaks apart upon that final step that breaks the fall when running for one's life. Yes, such was the memory that 'Suke was reliving there in his latest dream while he lay at the desk he was at for hours on end going over the necessary information and past time details of the recruits come and gone from active duty in the Coral Peacocks. Truly the list of names were not huge but the names were there nonetheless and that was a problem that he put on the back burner while catching up on some sleep that Glenda liked to work him away from due to how she wasn't one to get much sleep either unless 'Suke was the one to take on all the work of his captain.
With a steady pace in his restful run he heard a tapping sound echoing in the winter surrounding of his dream's landscape as eventually the tapping came louder and louder. Once it got to a point it was cracking his dream apart at the seems of reality that he found himself dropping into one of the cracks in this reality and once dropping to find himself falling through his eyes went wide and immediately he found himself actually falling in the real world as he was on his back with the chair off to his side as his brain scrambled to make sense of the situation that had transpired. He looked at the chair and then over to the young miss that was standing off to the side with hands behind her back. The captain undoubtedly played the childish prank yet soon that image of the captain changed and disappeared as well.
So it wasn't even the captain that did it but someone pretending it would seem. He slowly rose himself from the fallen location and looked at his desk as he brushed his hand along it until finding a letter on it reading something about a meeting with the other vice captains to take place in the royal palace's library at the east wing. 'Suke looked at the date and then back on it as he nodded and then began to put a hand out to grab his sword only to find he didn't have one. Nor did he have his robe any longer, the two items that usually made up his normal outfit were no longer with him. Instead he was dressed in the simple white cotton peasant shirt fashioned with a v-neck and short sleeves with a small purple glow under it while his pants were a matching white cotton fashion in their ankle length with open ends as it wasn't entirely tight nor form fitting yet not absurd in its fashion.
Over his shoulders was the magic knight robe of the coral peacocks, the coral color a sharp contrast to the white he wore yet matched his ruby eyes fairly well. Then on his waist was a leather belt holding up a tightly bound green grimoire that had multiple tabs sticking out of it like an alchemist journal for recipes. Once making sure he had everything he would leave his office and moving onward to his squad's residential spacial mage whom transported him shortly outside the palace where he would certainly find himself held up for an extended amount of time while his identity was confirmed given the last time he was here he certainly wore more extravagant looking clothing and didn't look so green in experience. However the moment it was known who it was that they were detaining from going into the palace immediately shifted in mode as 'Suke, otherwise known as "The Blood Caduceus" to some of those who didn't know him by name.
However 'Suke was a humble and earnest individual who merely nodded to the guard once let through as he found his way into the palace and with some direction found his way to the east wing's library as he entered early but probably not by much by the amount of time he was detained as his eyes went to looking over those who had already shown up. His eyes looking at Jett, the purple orca vice captain that 'Suke had known for a little more than four years now after the initial discovery of the diamond plot against clover with the citizens of the forsaken region giving aid to the diamond's troops in the form of trade goods and information. He rose a single hand to Jett as a greeting, "Been a while." He then looked over to the other member, the Golden Dawn Vice Captain whom he didn't have too much information on, not even a name, as he nodded to him, "Hello there I am 'Suke Hikaru." The same awkward pronunciation of his name being an inward sucking of hair before speaking the 'Sook' sounding portion of his name yet that was a normal awkwardness of his greeting to others.
"I bear the strength of all of my lions. They are my indestructible hide, and I am their fangs. With them behind me, I am at my strongest!"

A Vice Captain meeting eh? Ardere stroked his chin as he read the letter. It was an interesting concept. He supposed that if the Captain's were having a wartime meeting, then it was only logical for them to as well. The role of Vice Captain had taken precedence during the war, unlike ever before. While the fire mage had been a second in command for four years now, some men he knew had also taken up the role. This Tetsuya. He did not know much about the man other than his status as a former prisoner of Balgon. That much he knew from the prison itself being under primarily Lion control. Jett, what a good name to hear. The others were names he had heard, and some he had met but not like the Orca. Letting a sigh escape his maw, the brunette tossed the letter into a drawer. Guess I might as well show up and be a good Vice. Leaning back in his chair, he stared up at the ceiling. He wondered what the days to come would bring.
Weeks passed, and today was the day. Tightly bearing his armor, Ardere threw the crimson cloak he bore over his shoulders. Tying his shaggy brown hair up with a red headband, he was ready. Even though he was ready, he stood there--staring in the mirror. Looking at the scar over his left eye, his left hand ran across the skin. It had only been a year or so since he had received it, but every day he stared at it as a reminder of what he would have to sacrifice if this war was to be won. Alright Ard. Let's go. War had changed the man. The front lines were nothing but bloody and hellish. He was still full of life and conviction, but he was far more level headed than before. The anger he felt inside was now his weapon, not something to hold him back. It was what drove him. He had become so much stronger, but there was always room to grow. His duty these days were to his lions and those in the towns on the front lines.
Being in the Capital, the fire mage chose to walk to the library in the Royal Palace. It was not a long walk. Ardere made it within the hour. Taking a deep breath as he entered the room, he spotted some familiar face. Well shit. Looks like I'm not the first to arrive eh? Looking around, he spotted both Jett and Suke having arrived before him. No doubt the Orca had utilized their mutual spatial friend. Giving a casual salute and a devilish smirk, he stepped into the circle. It was a quaint library, very nice. A solid place to meet. The lion folded his armored arms, his cloak shifting as he walked. Regardless, good to see you guys. I'm sure we all got something to say about this crappy situation we're in. Gritting down on his teeth, his fist tightened. Remembering the recent attacks in the Forsaken Region, he had to restrain himself. Exhaling slowly, he released his fist. His blood had begun to pump. Start whenever you're ready, Golden Boy. Gesturing to Tetsuya, the man who called the meeting, he kept his arms folded. His stance was strong and unyielding much like his Captain's, but he was far more grounded during these meetings. Or so he was told.

Willow Omens, recently appointed to the role of the Vice Captain of the Azure Deer, was asked to attend a meeting of various vice captains, all of them in fact! A meeting between the second in command from every order sounded like something that could be worth while, so he had Responde S'il Vous Plait'd to the letter post haste. Promising the new Golden Dawn vice captain that he would indeed be there. After that, it was just a matter of waiting for the day to roll around. ANd on that day, Willow would take the time to make sure his new eye was in place. Around his neck was the sash that he had grown accustomed to, the thing that served as his eye patch when he needed it.
Swept back orange hair, degraded in hue from the years of stress and strife, it was a nice soft orange now rather than the burning stark orange it had been in the past. He was missing an eye, his body was covered in little scars from the way he always fought along side his creations and up close and personal to the enemy. He was The Cyclops of Papyrus, and he was one of the calmest people anyone could ever come across. Even on the field of a battle, he had an apologetic look toward his enemies and was always calm in tone. People thought he was detached from the world, others thought he had achieved zen on the level of the Buddha. Some just thought he was actually not quite right in the belfry. Whatever the case was, his kindness to all parties even when taking life, had earned him enough respect that everyone in the Azure Deer, minus his captain, agreed that he should be the new Vice Captain following the death of the last one.
And that came with it duties, duties like meeting the other Vice Captains. And so he was heading for the Royal Palace. He was dressed up in grayish pants with brown shoes on. On his torso was a vest, grays, blues and browns mixed together in splotches of camouflage, something he needed if he was going to be a spy. Adorning his Azure Deer fuzzy cloak over his shoulders and down to his elbows, he made sure his captaincy badge was tacked on to the cloak securely. With everything in order, his trip to the Royal Palace was met with a quick trip via the Spatial mages that they employed from other divisions, using them to get from the branches of his base to the Royal Palace in the blink of an eye.
Being the third to arrive, Willow smiled, the scar over his left eye having faded over the years, something that couldn't be seen readily either by 'Suke or Jett, "Hello Jett. Hello 'Suke. It's good to see you both again. I hope you are doing alright. I wouldn't want to hear about you two slacking now would I?" He said with a close eyed smile, and a fear inducing aura behind those kind words. Over the years, he had become quite zen, but unintentionally said some things that would cause even his captain to quake in his boots, even though there was no real threat to the words.
"ANd hello to you sir. I'm Willow Omens of the Azure Deer." He then turned to Ardere and gave the man a deadpan stare, "One comment about my eyes, and we are dueling. Again."
“Alright, so before we head in there I just gotta tell yah something Luna.” The dark haired man breathed out a cloud of smoke as he held his cigarette close to his mouth, dark eyes turned to the petite woman next to him. Her brown hair laid in delicate, perfect curls. Despite her casual smile, her dark blue eyes looked over to him with a tinge of annoyance. The older man nodded once, rubbing his chin that had a hint of stubble on it.
“They’re all guys in there, so… even if you really want to, I'd advise not cutting anyone’s dick off.”
The woman called Luna smiled ever wider, her first finger touching her bottom lip as her tongue licked at her cherry flavored lipstick. As the pair stood at the doors, she tossed her head one way, flicking her brown locks behind her back. Her dark blue cape went well past her lower back, touching just below the back of her knees, the Blue Rose emblem at its center. The rest of her outfit was rather revealing, a simple black shirt, tight and with a revealing and low cut neckline, also cut above her midriff, exposing her flat stomach and a belly button ring piercing. Her bottom half was decorated with a short plaid skirt, with steel armored boots that went up to her mid-thigh. And finally, her grimoire was attacked at her lower hip, colored an odd light lime-green. “I wouldn’t dream of it, Watanabe.”
The older man just sighed, shrugging his shoulders as he didn’t really believe the words said out of her mouth.
He pushed the door open first, blowing out another cloud of smoke that seemed to envelop the entire room. He didn’t say anything at first, his dark colored eyes just scanned the rest of the occupants in the room. Unlike the woman who stood beside him, he stood with a casual stance. He wore a simple button up white, black vest, black pants, black shoes. All his clothing fit him nicely, if not a bit loosely. His Black Bull emblem was on a short side cape on his right shoulder while his ash colored grimoire hung off a loose holder at his belt.
“A’ight, first things first, I’m the Black Bull Vice Captain, Malcolm Watanabe. This is the Blue Rose’s Vice Captain, Luna Saure.”
“A pleasure.” And while she seemed to exchange such pleasantries, her genuine smile almost seemed a little too inviting.
“Val ain’t here ‘cause he’s patrolling off in the ‘Saken Region, but if I actually know ‘im, he’s off in Aries Garse gambling the town away. Nico ain’t here ‘cause his captain’s MIA and he’s doing the duty the rest of y’all are gonna tackle when your Captains end up six feet under.” As the man explained the reason for the remaining Vice Captain’s absences, he took his seat at the end of the table. While Luna took the seat across from him. The woman crossed her legs in a seductive fashion, her deep blue eyes turned the man closest to her, also a man of blue eyes, but with violet colored hair.
“Hm, I hope you’re more flavorful than the man before you. He left a rather bad taste in my mouth.”
Her blunt manner was just as cryptic as she tilted her upper body toward the Purple Orca’s Vice Captain. Her arms crossed in front of her, squeezing together her rather large breasts and her tongue went to licking her flavored lips in a rather sensual fashion, almost hungry. But the moment passed just as quickly as it had come and the woman then turned forward once more.
The smoking man sat lazily in his seat, his arm hanging off the back as he held his cigarette with his other free hand. He cared little for business and he cared little about being there, and if the past four years had done anything to him, it made him despise things like pomp and circumstance even more. There were more faces here, most of them he didn’t recognize. Four years. Four dead vice captains, veterans of the Order.
Just how long would these kids last?
Longer than him, probably.
“So are we here to talk about our feelings or what?”
Name: Malcolm Watanabe Age: 32 Profession/Affiliation: Vice-Captain of the Black Bull Backstory: Malcolm Watanabe is the son of a foreigner and a peasant of Clover. His mixed heritage gave him quite a interesting view on life and living in Clover, along with his commoner background. He was however, an unusually talented and gifted mage despite his lower class standing. Originally a vagrant wanderer and mage for hire, the Captain of the Black Bull found the young man working as a mercenary who was attempting to kidnap nobles she was assigned to protect. When the two clashed, Kuroko easily swept the floor with him, but afterwards, instead of taking him to prison, asked him why he was a mercenary with magical skills as powerful as his own. Malcolm simply answered that he had nothing else better to do.
And so, Kuroko offered Malcolm a much better job to do, one that paid and one that was on the better side of the law. Now a man in his thirties, he's somehow found himself Vice-Captain to the Black Bull Magic Squad. He's an avid chain smoker who’ll tell members of his squad to never follow in his footsteps. Smoking, after all, is bad for their health. He claims he'll never touch alcohol due to something along the lines of 'Daddy Issues,’ much to the chagrin of his own Captain. Cigarettes are his sin as well as smoke being his magic. There is a much longer and storied history to the former mercenary, with things like scars and burnt skin covered by clothing and his Black Bull cloak, but it's a history he'd refuse to tell. The man's past remains a mystery to even the most veteran members of the squad. He mostly remains around the Black Bull’s Base, filling up rooms with choking smoke and lazily telling members to get off their butts when Kuroko isn't around.
Location: Sosshi, Black Bull Base Magic Element: Smoke Magic Specs: Attack, Sensory, Restraining, Supplementary Fighting Style: Malcolm is an unlikely genius of battle and combat, however even during a fight Malcolm is a lazy fighter. Using his smoke, he overlays the battlefield in fields of mana-infused smoke clouds, paralyzing foes with cages and chains of solid smoke. The man hates 'getting serious,’ but will freely do so when the situation arises. He prefers going full force, forming rams, hammers, and maces of solid smoke to bash and bear enemies with his sheer overwhelming strength. Face Claim: Shinya Kogami - Psycho-Pass
Name: Luna Suare “Sour Flower” Age: 27 Profession/Affiliation: Vice-Captain of the Blue Rose Backstory: Luna Suare is the first daughter and first heiress to the middling noble family, House Suare. While her background is a rather simple one, it is important to note that Luna’s father was a former magic knight, until he was killed in battle by enemy mages. This was the event in Luna’s life that led her to joining the Order herself. Luna’s obsession with Magic Knights, however, came a cost, the woman found that she enjoyed the thrill of battle and the bloodshed perhaps a bit too much. Like many women of the Blue Rose, Luna earned the title of Valkyrie and become known as the Sour Flower for her acid based magic.
In conversation, Luna comes off as a genuine and well meaning young lady, to both men and women alike. She takes the phrase to heart however, the one woman is surely equal to more than twenty men. The woman has a penchant for sweet tasting things, of both the material and the sensual variety, and often decorates her lips with flavored lipsticks she can taste freely. In the same vein, Luna can be rather brash and blunt, but has the utmost care and control of herself to never lash out without reason, even if her desires can say otherwise.
Location: Raque, Blue Rose Base Magic Element: Acid Magic Specs: Attack, Golem, Defense, Hex & Curse Fighting Style: The Blue Rose’s Sour Flower is a woman who lives up to her name. With her acid based magic, she makes blades and weapons that eat away at an enemy's flesh and bones. A relentless attacker, she laces her acids with curses to cause nausea and confusion to an adversary’s psyche, further establishing herself as a dominant force on the battlefield. Her acid golems however, are her signature front, both strong offensively and defensively, made of pure melting acid that can explode on contact, covering entire areas with vitriolic and destructive acid. Face Claim: Ichinose Shiki - THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls.

The first person to arrive to the meeting was Jett King, a man Tetsuya had met many years ago but back then he was simply a member of Purple Orca now he was their vice captain. The man seemed to look pretty much the same unlike Tetsuya. When he had arrived he asked if he was the first to turn up which Tetsuya would nod to. He had also told Tetsuya how it was good to see him once again which Tetsuya would reply to saying "Yes, its nice seeing you too Jett. I'm surprised we havent had the pleasure of fighting side by side during this marvelous thing we call war. Then again it might have been for the best as me and my captain sometimes get carried away..." After the two old squad mates would exchange words another vice captain would appear.
The next to arrive was the vice captain of Coral Peacock. Tetsuya had never met the man known as Suke but he knew of him and his great healing abilities. Some even hailed him as the second greatest healer in the kingdom. A bold claim indeed but Tetsuya had no interest to contest his claim so he left those comments to himself. The man had came in and spoke to Jett as if he had already met him before, which was most likely the case. The man would then turn and look to Tetsuya introducing himself to him. "Hello there I am 'Suke Hikaru." he said. Tetsuya let off a grin and said "No need to introduce yourself of course I already know your name and a little about you I am the one who called this meeting remember?" He let off another grin before extending his hand to shake with him.
The next to arrive to the meeting would be Ardere. Tetsuya would have flashbacks as soon as he entered the room. The memories flashed through his mind as if they were as clear as yesterday... all the memories of Ryujin with Ardere. The time they saved a village together, the day Ryujin defected from the knights and attacked Crimson Lion, and even Ryujin's battle against Ardere. All the memories flowed through his mind until his thought process was broken by the sound of Ardere speaking to him saying that he should start the meeting whenever he was ready. Tetsuya would stand up and say "You don't even know who I am, or rather who I was... do you?" Tetsuya let off a smile and then sat back down and said "I guess you Crimson Lions arent known for your brains huh? All brawn and no brains is what it seems like." Ardere not knowing the truth was surprising considering almost everyone else knew, but in a way it was somewhat a relief to know.
The next to arrive was the vice captain of Azure Deer, the spy types of the kingdom. Tetsuya knew next to nothing about the man besides his name... Willow Omens. When he came in he spoke to everyone as it seemed he already knew them, and he introduced himself to Tetsuya who would say nothing in response but give a wave. And soon after the final two participants of the meeting would arrive. The final two would be the vice captains for Blue Rose and Black Bull. Luna Suare was a very cute yet small girl one that Tetsuya had seen once during a joint operation between Golden Dawn and Blue Rose. Malcolm Watanabe was a foreigner, someone Tetsuya could relate to as Malcolm came from the same country as Tetsuya's family. When the two came in they would introduce themselves to the group, then Malcolm would explain why the Silver Eagle and Green Mantis Vice Captains wouldnt be attending. To this Tetsuya would simply scoff and say "Thats fine, I can send them key notes later on."
Tetsuya would then stand up and say "Ok its time we get this show on the road! I am Tetsuya Vista, Vice Captain of the Golden Dawn. I have called this meeting of Vice Captains so that we may all formally meet, but also so we can make a plan of action for the on going war." Tetsuya would stop for a few seconds so that he could gather his thoughts. He knew what he wanted to say but being around 6 of his peers made even him a bit scattered brained. "I believe that we should launch a small offensive... we have been playing defense a little too long and sooner or later that defense will begin to dwindle down and break."
As Jett would take his seat, Tetsuya would return the pleasantries claiming it was a surprise that they hadn’t fought along side each other during the war before bragging about how he and his captain would get carried away. The war was the worst thing that Jett had encountered so far in his life and wished nothing more than for it to end, with the capture of Argentia Silva, the captain of golden dawn, Arthurius has been running wild, killing and torturing many diamond soldiers, spies and sympathizers alike. While Tetsuya seemed to take some sort of pride in this behaviour, the same feeling wasn’t shared with the other captain nor their squads, though few exceptions did exist. Jett contemplated replying but before getting a chance to speak to fill the silence, ‘Suke had entered the room. ‘Suke and Jett went back quite a while but it was good to see him again after a while, the stories of him had reached Jett as had they reached all other corners of the kingdom, slotting in perfectly as the coral peacock vice captain with his healing magic, only match and bettered by his own captain. Jett gave a nod to the blonde mage as he spoke to him. ”too long!” ‘Suke would then introduce himself to Tetsuya. The next to arrive was Ardere, making an off comment of not being the first to arrive but then expressed his delight to see those he knew again, Jett didn’t speak up again, simply giving another head nod to acknowledge the crimson lion vice captain. Jett was sitting comfortably in his seat but his comfort was disturbed as Tetsuya stood up to call out Ardere, realising the fire mage didn’t recognise him, calling him out on the fact and then flat out calling him stupid. Jett’s grimoire would float beside him, just in case there was any sort of violence in response to the comment. Jett trusted Ardere to brush the comment off in some shape or form but wouldn’t fault him for firing off a warning blow. Next into the meeting was Willow, the paper mage who Jett and ‘Suke had helped save the kingdom of Clover before the war even began. Since the war did begin though, his signature bright orange hair had dulled somewhat but his demeanour had changed quite significantly, projecting a strange aura that belied his words. ”I’m lucky to get a decent nights sleep nowadays. Good to see you’re doing okay Willow.” The last to arrive were not of Jett’s generation, Malcolm Watanabe of Black Bulls and Luna Saure of Blue rose, the former making an introductions for the both of them. Malcom explained the reason no other vice captains would turn up, meaning the meeting could officially begin. Luna sat next to Jett, leaning over to him in a rather seductive manner voicing her wishes for him to be more flavourful than his predecessor. Jett sat with his arms folded, looking straightforward his eye glancing to Luna’s face, slightly down and then back up as he swallowed the lump in his throat and his cheeks began to gain colour. ”I’ll..uh..do the best I can.” Jett had been through the hells of war without it fazing him too much but women were still the most dangerous and mysterious things too him.
With each and every vice captain that was going to attend turning up, Tetsuya got the meeting under way by introducing himself and claiming the reason for the meeting. An independent plan of action for the war, a small offensive instead of playing defence. It was only natural for Clover to defend as it was Diamond that started the war and Clover still hoped to achieve peace, almost losing everything in potential peace talks. It was obvious in the early stages of the war that Diamond had been preparing for a while for the war, being much better suited with numbers, provisions and defences in comparison to the neighbours. Still, his idea had merit, Jett just wondered about the reasons behind it, was this just something to satisfy his blood lust? ”As Vice Captains, we are amongst the strongest mages within the kingdom. This isn’t something that should be taken lightly, if we move as one against Diamond, we are reducing the defences of Clover significantly. That being said, if we are smart about choosing our target, then perhaps we have a chance of making an impact with minimal risk. My suggestion would be taking back the water temple. So long as Diamond occupy the temple, Clover is in danger with Diamond soldiers being so close to the capital.”

Willow listened to what was said, focusing on the meeting at hand after all of the introductions were done. While both Tetsuya and Jett suggested an offensive, WIllow had other ideas. He had been sitting there, arms folded over his chest while he considered how to reply to this, but instead, simply went at it head first. Putting his foot down on the floor, somewhat noisily to get the attention of everyone, he stood up and placed his hands on the table while he gave a calm smile, "As good as that idea sounds, it is ill advised at this moment. We may be at war, but no party has declared a war. If we were to be the first ones to make an open act of aggression, not only would we make it seem as though we wanted the war, we would make ourselves out to be the true aggressor to even potential allies."
"Paining me as much as it is to say this, but I would advise we consider a defensive, a war of attrition until they cannot take it anymore. While we send for help from the Heart kingdom, one of our three neighbors we are on amicable terms with. Consider the following scenarios: Option One -- A full on offensive at one focal point. A great army, yes, but an unwise strategy to take. We would play right in to them using their vast border with us to come in from the sides, close in around our forces, and then drive through the rest of the kingdom. Option Two -- Infiltration of their lands before they have a chance to act. A less likely outcome on the aggressive manner, but we do not know much about the land of Diamond in the four years that have gone by. Things may have changed greatly since the chain of information became harder to trudge around. The Azure Deer spies work hard enough to bring what little in that they can. Option Three -- We continue our little unnamed skirmishes here and there on the border, and keep aggravating them. They will eventually grow tired of the Cold War and seek to invade us themselves. If we combine this option with sending emissaries to Heart Kingdom to request reinforcements, we are liable to have a stronger force backing us, especially if we let them declare war against us."
He had flung his arm, casting paper across the table while his magic formed the map, the entire map of the continent, and showed the different lands and topography. Every option he proposed, paper would rise up in different colors and show the different outcomes, with the blue colors of Clover Kingdom being overtaken by the red colors of Diamond kingdom in the first two scenarios. On the third one however, the third one, a green force coming to aid the blue one, they were in greater number.
"No one likes to back the bad guy, unless they themselves are bad. While the enemy of my enemy is my friend, at the end of the day, if that friend is also someone you don't like, it makes you a target for a backstabbing. If we were to wait until the tension between our border skirmishes boiled over and pleaded for help, we would be the underdogs, we would be the defenders, trying to fight for our rights. If we were invaded, we would stand on ground we know, on lands we can work to our advantage, and with an ally that would be willing to help us because we are being attacked rather than attacking."
He sat back after this, the paper across the table remaining for anyone else to propose war strategies, ready to shift around to their explanations.
In the wake of death and decay; My heart bleeds to heal yours
Jett looked good at least, his words and age have definitely grown an age to them as far as 'Suke could tell while his first impression of the Golden Dawn's vice captain seemed rather off putting, especially for a courteous simple thing as a greeting. The need to introduce one's self was only common courtesy as he knew nothing about most of the vice captains aside from hear say. What they looked like, if in fact they died the day before arriving to the meeting, or if they just retired and someone new had entered the veil. It didn't matter if one knew or did not as in 'Suke's eyes the idea of at least introducing could put a name much better to a face that is rather left unchecked otherwise. So as off putting and near condescending as the words were that came from the Golden Dawn vice captain 'Suke disregarded the hand as another individual entered.
Someone else that 'Suke had only recently starting knowing much of anything about had arrived. It was thanks to the efforts of the forsaken region's conflict that 'Suke actually learned much of the Crimson Lion vice captain, save for the fact that on the front lines there were plenty of the crimson lions to mention him. The fifth longest running of the vice captains who received it not long before the strife with Diamond increased exponentially four years ago. He was definitely someone that 'Suke could share a respect for in that regard and soon enough the man whom rubbed 'Suke the wrong way came off once against in a rude cast mark. Degrading Ardere's intellect was something that 'Suke perked his eyebrow at and could only compose himself after sitting in one of the seats with the foot of the chair pressing down on his own foot to ignore the audacity he heard.
After which the next arrival was Willow too whom was far more relaxed than the last time the two had spoken. The events that had happened in Kinoko probably seemed to have happened a lot sooner than they did but that was the way most traumas reacted to the human mind. Yet either way Willow certainly enjoyed his teasing nature of not wishing to hear Jett nor 'Suke becoming slackers. Honestly it was a laugh given at least for 'Suke it was as his Captain loved giving him all the work in the first place. It was just the way she was though so it wasn't something he himself could fault her for in that respect. Then came two more individuals that were the Blue Rose vice captain and the Black Bull's vice captain.
The two certainly held an air about themselves and 'Suke could easily foresee these two holding their positions longer than at least one of the current Vice Captains present today. 'Suke respectfully exchanged the pleasantries with these two vice captains, as both were complete unknowns to him as it were. His name being spoken back to them in greeting after they had given theirs and with the pleasantries done it was not long before Tetsuya began and it seemed apparent that he certainly didn't have much of this planned out with the scramble for words in his brain when just trying to address everyone in the room. Stage fright perhaps? It was interesting to watch and the behavior was that much more interesting to to understand why it was happening though perhaps for more reasons than just the one apparent reason in this place however his next words were odd for someone who was supposed to be an Elite to just say.
War, no matter how big or small, required knowing when a proper time to strike was and at the same time knowing the wheres, the whens, the whos, the whats, and hows. The five key portions of understanding a plan of action question and the fact that the reason was because playing defense too long was the reason for needing a small offensive was ridiculous to 'Suke's mind. Jett brought up a decent point, and ultimately it was an idea that made sense to 'Suke in regards to knowing just how much trade goods were reliant with their kingdom. It'd play well with the mentioned small offensive and with a small contingency of troops to go into the temple Clover wouldn't be entirely defenseless. It was a matter of deciding just what a small contingency should be made of and what ranking of knights should go.
Willow however mentioned a few opinions, one of them was not one 'Suke entirely agreed on yet he soon brought out three options and of them 'Suke could tell what Willow preferred an idea with but over all it was something that was going to require a lot more finesse than a few small squabbles of thought. Even with the map revealed it was sketchy at best given the topography was more or less out of date if the information was truly as little as what Willow suggested it was for the Azure Deer. 'Suke leaned back, breathing in as he took in the thoughts of the three and let his own words come to light, "So ultimately even if Diamond has not openly claimed a war against us I'd like to clarify a couple things that have happened that are quite aggressive in the cause they have done to us.
"First is their claiming of the Water Temple two years ago and in so claiming their have destroyed our trade with the countries via the water, especially since that is the beacon of our trades and goods we also import and export which now are just collecting dust in the ware houses on hte shoreline. A number of our nobles around that same time have also gone missing, corpses being all we've found at that point. Lets fast forward one year after that though, Diamond's general known as Elizabeth Hanno wanted to disrupt our land based trading hub in our common region town of Kikka. This would have further destroyed our economic structure and throw clover into more of a fretful situation than it is currently. Granted, it wasn't long after this that we sent our own troops into Diamond, not even that far into their land that we found their generals easily on scene and putting a stop to our troops before we could get any information or resources at all from this.
"We ultimately sent a suicide mission for those youths where as Diamond has a means and method to putting assassins in our land that nearly killed the royal family and Nero, luckily none of which were lost but it was a close call. Then of course just recently which is the highest form of aggression we had Diamond troops in swathing waves over our forsaken region where towns that used to be boisterous were left in ash and death. Very little survived that wave, most of our troops died and we are still recovering from that wave as it stands that most of our front line forces are too small of soldiers that I cannot see it ending well if we put any of them out there on the fighting grounds. I mean, just three months ago the Captain of the Silver Eagles has gone missing and that is what has required Nicodemus to step up and be a temporary captain as you all well know."
He paused letting the massive report of recent events sink in a moment, he himself letting his finger tap the table a couple times while he gathered himself as well in all of this. Truly the information lining itself was enough to cause him to hate having to reiterate the information but also to provide it as well. "So my thoughts on the plan of creating a small offensive against diamond is 'No.' We don't have the man power to take them head on with the response time their generals have to all the scenes. And when it comes to requesting aid from our neighbors, we will need to fix the trading hub first and foremost to get any kind of relative discussion force to them as soon as possible for such action and means. Our neighbor at our backs via the land trading hub is our easiest method to contact but at the same time probably not the best.
"As pointed out by Willow the factor of possibly being stabbed in the back in such a case. Going with our neighbor via the sea is the best option but requires us to investigate and completely take back the water temple to fix our problem with trade. If we don't do that, we'll lose the resources to comfortably maintain our country in about one year if we don't lose the war. If we ration appropriately we can maintain for five years in a cold war state, maybe six but ultimately we won't last a decade in the strife no matter the option unless we open the trade routes back up as we have necessary medicines that many of our people need and we don't have the land to grow or create such antidotes and medications for. That is just one pressing example of the reason we need the trade back in any case."
'Suke made his case, presented it as best he could and once having spoken he rested against the seat, going into thought on the possibilities over all and the ideas of what could be the best option still even in this situation, there were after all not a whole lot of options left to give which only makes their job harder over all. Trade was the number one way for their country to make a profit or die out, and due to the two options he would much rather them keep living, even as his mind knew that they could possibly extend their resources another couple years if Clover abolished the class system but 'Suke knew that wasn't going to happen and honestly he didn't wish for it to happen as it'd put a lot of their groomed leaders in a position just absolutely worthless..

Was Tetsuya always this damn bull headed? Yeesh. Ardere was surprised anyone could outshine members of his squad, but he chose to ignore the man. Rather, he cocked an angry, irritated eyebrow. Tch. Not worth my time to retort. We've got bigger issues here. It wasn't even worth the response. The man obviously knew he had a temper, but what he did not know was that he was a bit more professional than his Captain at times. He was trying to do his best to not blow up in a meeting like Lysander often did. He could only hope his mentor was developing a solid plan at their meeting. The red haired man had been so worried in the previous months. It was turning his hairs grey. The younger fire mage shared his stress, but had turned it into a fiery desire to fight. Nothing would hold him back this time around. He had come too far to let Diamond stop him now. So he took a deep breath and narrowed his brows to greet the others with a nod. Been a while, Malcolm and Luna. Being a Vice Captain for four years now, he had met most of the officers in the Order. If he did not know them personally, then he had seen them in passing. While the newer members he knew well, the older ones had gotten a chance to know him as well. Ardere had the unique luxury of being an officer who was not older or newer, but right in the middle.
The meeting started promptly. Malcolm was as snippy as always. It was no surprise Kuroko had picked him. They were quite the dynamic. Luna however was an interesting pick considering Lazuli's attitude towards men. Jett and Willow were both wise, as expected of the Orca and Deer Vices, but they were playing it too safe. Ardere was growing antsy. They had been playing it safe for four years, and look where it had gotten them. The western edge of the Forsaken Region was essentially a wasteland now. The fire mage had several scars to attest to its destruction. They just simply did not have the resources to stake out Diamond. Something different had to be done. Suke had some good points. They lacked the supplies to outlast Diamond, and they lacked the manpower to launch a full scale offensive. Grinding his teeth down, he was becoming more antsy by the second. It was so unlike him to be lost in thought. He was a man of actions and not words, but sometimes his heart could speak the right ones in trying moments like this. He had learned long ago to trust his gut. Letting out a sigh, he leaned forward to address the group. It was his turn to speak.
Tapping his fingers against the table, Ardere ran a finger across the scar on his eye. We've been playing it cool for four years. Four years we've taken the defensive against Diamond. And even when we launch an offensive, the generals just stop us. We're too afraid to send the Captains away from their positions to do anything. The fact is; Diamond outnumbers us. The reason we are losing this war is because they have been gaining momentum and not stopping. If we don't turn the tide now, we will lose. There is no holding them off. Diamond not only has a vast amount of resources on their own, but they have Spade backing them. We barely have Heart's support and our Captains have been in disarray. Exhaling sharply, he rubbed between his eyes to dull the sharp pain. We only have one option; to take out the Generals. They are the source of our problem. Diamond has a stricter command structure than we do. Their soldiers aren't knights like us. They're drones, acting on orders. They fight because it is their job, not their home. They're greedy and unmotivated by anything other than lust for money and land. Which means, if we destroy their chain of command, they will crumble. As far as forces go, they have the power. But we've proven than in small skirmishes, we are strong enough to fight the Generals. Our best choice is to catch them while they are off guard. And it's up to us Vices and our Senior and Grand knights to accomplish this task. Elizabeth was caught scheming, and I know for a fact that there are Generals positioned in Clover right now. If we can somehow distract their forces away from the Generals, we could swoop in and attack before they can respond to the scene. I myself fought a General four years ago, and I was only strong enough to hold her off then. But that was then, and this is now. The fact is, we're all strong enough to give Captains a run for their money. You can deny it all you want, and call it risky, but it's the best option we have. This is our home god dammit. You're naive if you think we can just outlast them or beat them head on. Our greatest strength comes in our individual thinking as knights and our faith in one another. We can take out the Generals and put Diamond into disarray, gain some momentum of our own and drive those fuckers out of our country for good! Ardere was fuming with drive and spirit. He knew it was the riskiest thing he could suggest, but they were losing. If they didn't take a risk, they would drown.

A few more introductions came swiftly, not that they were really needed. If they all didn’t know each other by then, they really had no business in meeting up.
Luna however, seemed to enjoy the reaction she was getting from the Purple Orca’s Vice Captain in particular. It was a bit of a disappointment to the girl that the meeting of the Vice Captains was nothing but a sausage fest, and of course, as the lone female in the group, she represented the Blue Rose as her Captain commanded. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t have a little fun with herself.
And so the meeting would begin.
Each of the Vices spoke up their opinion, though Malcolm stayed relatively quiet during most of the exchanges, silently smoking away and filling the room with the rather inelegant odor. Luna appeared intrigued by all the ideas coming forth, seemingly especially entertained with the ‘interactive’ portion of paper pamphlets provided by the Azure Deer Captain. The Sour Flower however, soon seemed to grow bored of the monologues as they continued. Especially as the man following the Omens boy was the Coral Peacock’s Vice Captain, and he seemed to speak of ways of passively and mostly avoiding confrontation. As he spoke of Diamonds invasion of the temple, the woman paused, licking away at her fruit flavored lipstick. So much as he knew, he hadn’t been there at all. And prolonged saltwater exposure does terrible things to one’s hair, she knew.
Things finally seemed to have a turn when Kasai begin his speech, at least with the Lion around most things weren’t so bland. It was almost like she could see the aura of flames surround him, growing brighter with every passionate word. In the end, she was the first to react in the pause that followed, giving a little and light giggle that echoed in the silent room. “Hehe~ Well, at least someone here has the balls to say it. And of course it would be you Kasai.” The woman sat straighter, her shoulders back as her chest naturally thrust outwards. “I think what the Lion Cub says is the most flavorful option. It is the one where I get the most taste of battle with those Diamond bastards.” She soon scanned the room with her navy blue eyes, winking at the man who so provided such an avenue for her to assure her own interests were known among them.
And then, there was only one Vice Captain in the room who had yet to say much of anything.
Watanabe’s head rested lazily on his shoulder, his cigarette hung lowly out of his mouth with a staeady smoke trail exiting through his nose. Had the man actually fallen asleep during all the commotion? His eyes were closed.
He let out a rather long sigh, smoke exhaling from his mouth.
“You kids talk so much… it gives me a headache.” His right hand went to massage his temple, where his brow seemed to have a miniature vein popping out from the skin in frustration. Why did he have to be the one to be there? Nico was the guy who was good at all the talking. At least then, Watanabe knew the Silva was smart and he could trust the man to make the right decisions. He didn’t know half of these newcomers from hell, and it was just as annoying.
His voice was casual, almost monotone, the signature of likely the laziest Vice Captain in the room. “Look, I don’t really care what you guys wanna do. All I know is that I got a bunch of Diamond invaders in my terrority and that I’d rather be out there kicking ass than here talking about how I’m gonna kick their ass. Calling for help and allies? Yeah that’s probably a good idea. Securing ourselves an actual trade supply? Yeah sounds good to me. Sending in a team to take out some Diamond General? Sign me up.” Shrugging his shoulders, he took in another long breath of smoke.
“I will say… calling this a war that just started four years ago or saying it ain’t a war yet, is pretty dumb.” Dark gray eyes opened but didn’t look to any of the captains in the room, Malcolm was tired. In the past four years, the animosity between the two kingdoms had certainly risen, but it wasn’t like it had never been there to begin with. “World’s always at war… It’s how it works.”

So was a dog hungry for a bone, Tetsuya was hungry for blood. It was seemingly a normal thing for him since the war. He knew where this blood lust came from, it was the Ryujin's underlying personality. He did his best to maintain it on the daily but sometimes when he was around a fight or around conversation of fighting he would lose his cool, and that was what was about to happen. As Ardere spoke about finally going on an offensive Tetsuya began to put on a devil like grin and begin to spark small bolts of lightning.
With a swift motion he would stand up tall and say "I completely agree with you Ardere! Lets make a game plan right now, I say half of us stay and half of us go. Of course im gonna be on the half that goes. I also believe we can spare a few of our stronger members. Maybe 1 from each of us that goes." Tetsuya would then begin to settle down a bit as he would return back to his seat. The sound of battle poured Tetsuya to his blood lust limit. He wondered how the other vice captains thought of him. He knew only Jett truly everyone else was a new face. Tetsuya would clear his throat and would then begin talking again.
"So what do yall all think of my proposal? There are 7 of us present and 2 of us not. The two who arent here can just stay by default, and then out of the 7 of us left 4 of us go. The 4 that go can pick one of their squad members to take with them that way we will still have 8 people, I think 8 people is enough to make a surgical strike on a general." Tetsuya would then pull out a scroll from under his cloak and pull a quill from his pocket. He threw both of the items on the table and said "Anyone who agrees with the plan sign the scroll, majority rules. I guess I will sign first." Tetsuya would grab the quill off the table, and sign his name. He knew what he was doing, this was to satisfy his blood lust and to avenge his student Tristan.
In the wake of death and decay; My heart bleeds to heal yours
Ardere's blood was heated, of course it was. There was no denying that being on the losing end of the battle always made one's body hot with the pride that was being tampered and distracted. It overall made sense but for 'Suke he saw such plans as quite foolish. If not for the fact that there were no real good strategies over all it made things rather difficult however that would be where 'Suke knew of an idea that could benefit the plan if some individuals were more patient rather than trigger happy with getting their blood boiling fix. Ardere, Tetsuya, Luna, and Watanabe all seemed to be wanting to fight yet as far as 'Suke was concerned there were only a couple capable fighters currently that could go and if specific individuals went it'd leave Clover quite open to attack which the red eyed blond did not like the prospects of.
Watanabe's silence until everyone had spoken had its advantage in giving a word to all in the room while at the same time disadvantage in some regard. He hated it here in meetings as far as 'Suke could tell, and the man certainly addressed the issue of war always being around which as much as it made sense was a philosophy at best. Something that had 'Suke certainly understand in that situation but it was still just more hot blooded feeling in his mind. Already that was four, and if the four of them went all that would remain for clover would be the spies which do nothing for the internal structure except for looking and they've been failing at that for the four years, the purple orca which was a safe option for their defenses here, the silver eagles which given the situation 'Suke knew that vice captain already had his hands full.
And then there was 'Suke and he cared very little about going on a suicide mission. He could already guess at least one more individual joining their group if the lion went and that'd be Sprider, but with just those five there were no decent members in any of the other three squads powerful enough to go. Their captains certainly couldn't go, they were still mostly planning things out with the Wizard King for that Royal Knight situation. Over all 'Suke knew very little of the power levels between Luna and Watanabe but from what he could sense of the Golden Dawn's vice captain was some balance battle prowess but the balance was low and it was probably lower than 'Suke's own when he and Sprider fought that general in Aries Garse so long ago. The Coral Peacock vice captain rubbing his chest remembering the bone breaking concave strike he received then.
"The proposition is undoubtedly going to be seconded however I would like to inquire who your second individuals will go with you for this operation if you can call a suicide mission like this one even. I don't expect more than half of you to return and of that half I can properly say will be Ardere and undoubtedly Sprider if my guess is correct on your second. Watanabe and Luna. I'm sorry to say but no one in either the Blue Rose or Black Bull as it stands now can rally as a second to go against. Your squad mates are at best second class and will only get in the way. For the Golden Dawn I don't see you returning at all, not even with fancy tricks and hiding in the coat tails of the four I mentioned. You will die plain and simple.
"Plus whoever you bring with you will die on your watch. If you somehow make it back after this skirmish you will have to bare that guilt on your own plain and simple because as an elite squad you certainly failed in that regard. Of the ones I can say could go would be the Azure Deer's vice captain and I'd probably recommend the man who went with me during the selection exams since he was suitably invisible to the enemy at that time and undoubtedly his power has increased many fold being Cain. The Purple Orca should too remain as those under your command Jett just are too weak for this operation too. Even if you protect with all your prowess it wouldn't end well. Not to mention without you it will leave Clover defenseless as most if not all our stronger knights are oriented towards fighting."
'Suke sighed, taking a breath and a pause for a moment as he drank some water to wet his mouth after talking so much. He was overall trying to reason either why they should wait or why it should not be something that happens. After such a time he finished half the glass and then resumed, "The silver eagles have too much going on to ever be considered a back up option so there's no need to even discuss them, and the green mantis squad mates are still all just kids who still have very little battle prowess among any of them. My own squad is not something I'd like to see go on this kind of operation for the odds are just too stacked against us." He was hiding the fact that of his squad there was only himself and the one he cared for as options as anyone else were only second rate at best too leaving it to be not an option over all.
"So, given how few our options are and just how stacked the deck is against us I can without a doubt say that no one should go yet, because it is pure suicide. Build up your squads power and union, the teamwork and unique thinking that you all pride yourselves on. That document there," he nodded at the scroll with Tetsuya's name being signed on it, "burn it in your minds for why we do what we do but at the same time bury it because it means nothing without power. No one in here can survive going only four people in and going eight in will lead to only half and less returning alive. So, here is what I propose instead to do just that if you all are really gung-ho on trying to give it to diamond."
'Suke immediately stood up, looking at the all those who gathered the table before he provided them what he was going to say, "I suggest a mock situation battle in such an exam. As such my proposition is as follows. Ardere as probably the closest in straight power level to one of the generals I recommend you be the general in this mock contest. Those who would join such a battle would form teams of six to face off against you and to prove how difficult the situation is. If they can land a hit that draws blood on you within say, five rounds total then their team passes but if they fail then all of them fail. Every squad will have two chances in this mock exam and quite simply I'm suggesting Ardere take a good portion because as a fighter his prowess is quite formidable. However to test the crimson lions for this test I will either suggest Jett, Willow or myself as the other individuals for that part of the test.
"Jett and his defenses easily symbolize the terror of trying to get into diamond's own and breaking past them, well good luck. Willow is crafty and quite witty when it comes to fights I've seen him in. His ruthlessness alone if you read the reports of almost five years ago on account to the far reaches of the forsaken region can show that. I myself am crafty in this, and though I can be taken down by someone with enough power, it won't mean a damn thing if you can't move fast enough to hit me." 'Suke let the proposition hang in the air for a moment, and it was simple. Teams of six would go up against the strongest individuals of the vice captains. Such individuals would need to draw blood from the one acting as a diamond general in proxy while everyone else had to fight that proxy. The test was a battle of teamwork and individual creative thinking and that was undoubtedly something Clover needed.

Willow had said his peace, and he remained where he was, eyes closed while everyone else deliberated on the validity of whether or not they should form up a small squadron and attack the generals while they weren't expecting it. Did no one here study war tactics? Some did it seemed. Not only were there still voices of reason, but it was from someone that Willow could rely on for something like this. Opening his one good eye, he looked to 'Suke and gave a nod before closing his eye again. That paper offered for them to sign, Tetsuya's plan to get them all to go on a mission that they didn't even agree to just because so many signatures could be collected on it.
Willow had had enough, but rather than speak up with a tone of annoyance or aggression, he let a cheery smile splay across his face and said in the calmest, and almost unnerving tones, "You'll have fun with your court martial won't you Tetsuya? Sign the document, take a force of people who do not wish to willingly go, I know I won't, regardless of the number of signatures. If you are not ordered to go somewhere by your captain or the wizard king, it could be viewed simply as dereliction of duty. At which point, you will be excommunicated from the order. Again, I ask, do you think you will have fun with your court martial?" He then turned his gaze to Ardere, opening his one good eye and giving Ardere a solid look.
"I understand your propensity for action, and I understand the concept of taking the offensive to the enemy. But the fact of the matter is simple, while they have encroached on our land, we have not taken any of theirs, we have limited supplies coming in from the sea now that the water temple is gone to them. If you wish to revitalize our war efforts, our best options are as follows: we strive to take back parts of the Fringe where trade can open up, we take the Water Temple back, or we seek out aid from someone sympathetic to our cause, thereby giving us a second army, the Heart Kingdom, as I have said."
"Striding in to their land to attack any of them, let alone generals, is tantamount of suicide. Out of fifty spies sent by the Azure Deer in to their territory, four have come back. That is an eight percent survival or avoid capture rate. We have no word on what happened to the others. Either they have someone skills in counter intelligence, or they have someone capable of sniffing out a rat, and devouring it like a hungry lion."
"I'm sorry to say, but your plan will only get you killed, or admonished. You won't be a martyr, if you cannot rally an army behind your words to back your action of invading the enemy without orders. And if you were to invade them, their forces could come around for a pincer attack and close you in. We know little of their land, we know little of their forces. What we do know is our country, our land, and our people. Provoking them to come to us in small waves and taking them out one by one until they try to invade us with a larger force, where we spring various traps on them, is a much safer course of action than gallivanting to our inevitable defeat inside of their border."
