The conflict between the Diamond and Clover Kingdoms was about 2 years in and everything seemed to be going to shit. The kingdom had gotten desperate and started recruiting anyone willing and able to fight which led to them turning to someone they never thought they would. News that Tetsuya Vista wasnt dead spread like wildfire after he appeared publicly for the first time after he faked his death. Shortly after the news was found out by vice captains and captains alike, and soon after that even the magic emperor caught wind of the news. This made them go send out search parties in search of the powerful boy who they thought to be dead.
Once they found the boy they would ask him to join the war efforts which he agreed to to their surprise. However the didn't join because he wanted to help clover but for revenge. The lightning mage had lost a great friend to this war, someone he thought of as his own family... his own brother. Not his real brother but a young man he loved and cred for greatly, that being his student Tristan Stark. After he joined though things started to go in a fairly positive direction for the boy after a small few months and a few encounters with the enemy, he showed promise and skill, enough skill to gain him the title of Vice Captain.
An accomplishment indeed for the man he now was. He was now in charge of looking after a team of people, this was to be his new family. Although the war and the lost of his student turned Tetsuya into a blood thirsty demon his squad kept his humanity on point, as he was always kind and compassionate to them. Beauty had however showed itself during this time of war as Tetsuya had met a girl he saw true interest in and he had gained a new student, not to mention his other friends from his new squad.
As the third year of the war was at its beginning stages Tetsuya decided to use some time to call forth a meeting of his whole squad. He needed to be sure that going into the future he knew who he was going to be working with, and who he was to call family. The clock would strike one o'clock and Tetsuya would look at his clock and think to himself *Its time... I should get going.* He would then stand up from his seat and make his way through the hallways of the Golden Dawn headquarters. After about 2 minutes he made his way to a meeting room within the base where this squad meeting would take place. The room was rather large with a big chalk board and a podium for the speaker in the front. While the remainder of the room was littered with chairs and couches and stools for people to sit and relax while listening to the speaker.
Tetsuya would walk in to see a few faces but none too familiar as he walked up and approached the podium. After he got up to it he would speak loudly and say "We will begin the meeting shortly. I would like to give a few extra minutes to allow more people to arrive. So please continue to talk amongst yourselves until you hear me speak and that is when we will begin." And so now they would just sit in wait...

How was it that time was able to fly the way it did. How was it that years passed like seconds in a simple cadence and everything that happened in real time became a memory the moment afterward. It was difficult, adapting to everything, and retaining your actual sanity for the sake of maintaining a mind worth using to fight during wartime. Those efforts were not in vain, as the life of a soldier, of a knight, was often spent on the battlefield with sword-in-hand. Those longs strands of hair hung over his face and fluttered in a distant breeze, swaying about on the balcony of a massive castle. It was so different here then it was in Raque where he had grown up. His eyes unleashed an uncanny gaze, floating and scanning across the horizon of the capital. Being one of the few Magic Knight squads actually based in the capital was something he was unprepared for. The time traveling to each destination was increased, and it somehow made the campaigns against diamond longer, more violent. It had been three years; three long years bleeding on the battlefield, watering the grass with the blood of his enemies but throughout it all, Artorious had accumulated a total of zero confirmed kills. He didn't believe in slaying his enemies, but vanquishing them was something else entirely. Erasing them as a threat, was his priority, although his mentor had developed a much different way of accomplishing that goal.
That night in the tavern, just outside Kikka, he'd met a man with a fire in him like no other. It burned in a praxic flame that never fluttered or blew out. He had the drive to reform clover. He had a drive for clover to be the best it could possibly be. And although his previous antics and paths he took to reach that goal, to reach that finalization of his dream in a world where clover reigned supreme, his new path was less than inexorable, providing a new path to a bright future in the form of a rising dawn, the Golden Dawn. He had become the Vice Captain of this squad, and lead it into a new era of protection for clover, but the recent events had driven the Golden Dawn to a different type of squad. Arthurius.. Oh how he loathed the twin that had taken away everything he wanted some years ago. Argentia only saw him. That's what it was the entire time. Meeting him for the first time was enough to put those two pieces together. Blood red eyes began to lower into a tightened gaze, as he remembered his reasoning for following Tetsuya, studying his ways and patterns, learning from his skill. He turned around now, his back facing the balcony and the view of the setting sun. He entered a pair of glass doors to have his feet with the surface of a long corridor. A red velvet carpet acted as a runner centered perfectly in the hallway, flickering flames over the braziers placed about seven feet from the ground illuminated the entirety of the space.
An oriental collar wrapped around his neck, trailing down to a long kimono-like robe that simply oozed affluence. Placed over its surface was that elongated Golden Dawn cloak dyed in goldenrod, with the small bit of blue fleece lining at its base, red and gold ropeties there for physical adjustments of its longevity. Long leather boots trailed up the surface of his shins and then stopped at the base of his patellas, creating a tapping noise with each stride that was placed perfectly apart. On his lower waist was that ornate grimoire holster, that shielded the four-leaf clover from view, but still revealed the unique etchings and brown leather hard-copy of the book itself. He forcefully placed his palm in front of him and stiffined his arm, which pushed its way through a floating door, swaying even after he had walked through. A quick peripheral gaze to his left allowed him to take visual of Tetsuya himself. Exhaling deeply for a brief moment, and then walking over to the first row of chairs he found that despite the crowd that one comfortable chair was left open. That was because it was his. Earning the title Protector of Dawn came with his perks; in the second year of the war Arthur had given himself, and many other Golden Dawn members refuge in one of his constructs until morning, until dawn. When reinforcements came and there wasn't a single casualty, every breath he took began to be celebrated. That chair was his, and no one would dare sit in it. It was directly centered in front of the podium, with a clear view of his mentor and Vice Captain, Arthur's look being a rather smug and unforgiving one for no proper reason at all. Sometimes, he just liked to attempt to get under his skin. "Who let you host this thing, you're getting older every day. I should be speaking at these things.." You could hear the laughter accumulating throughout the room, as everyone still awaited the arrival of the meeting's final participants.
War...Something Eli never imagined would happen in his lifetime, let alone be involved in. To Eli being a part of the Golden Dawn was for one reason and one reason only. To fulfill the dreams his beloved sister had, the dreams she died for while serving in the Golden Dawn before Eli decided to join. Back when Eli was simply traveling from place to place, bumming off of people and living a life of not caring. All that was gone, a life of the past. Eli was busier now than he had ever been in his entire life. Though if he was honest he felt quiet useless. He wasn't some amazing warrior, or even a strong protector. He was a scam artist at heart, a bum. Yet here he was, a member of the most prestigious and looked up to group of magic knights. Receiving some of the most taxing missions and duties in the war. There were things Eli never even imagine seeing, so much bloodshed, so much violence... It all left a bad taste in his mouth. Even still, in this time of ware, Eli had been force to be more useful, to protect and to serve. To help his comrades aid in this battle. It was kind of exciting if he was honest, which he wasn't. To everyone else it was all just a drag to Eli.
It was nice, to get a small break during war time. To be allowed to return back to base and relax. Eli spent most of the time sleeping, strolling through parks, and staying away from all the nobles. After all, Eli was completely different from the rest of them. Yes he was a noble himself, but not at heart. No, Eli almost despised the nobles, he stayed away from them as much as he could. And he did everything in his power not to identify as one. Which resulted in his sloppy appearance. Something the most of the Golden Dawn members looked down on him for, he even found himself being scolded by them. But as always, Eli cared little. It was much too bothersome to care what people thought of your appearance.
Unfortunately Eli's plans to sleep all day were interrupted by a group meeting that the vice captain had called. A man Eli had few conversations with due to trying to keep his distance. But a man he had much respect for, not just because of his power, though that was truly amazing. It was because of the way he treated the Golden Dawn, like family. Eli wasn't sure what this man's opinion of himself was, and he didn't truly care. But he did appreciate the fact that even he, a outcast, could be welcomed and treated like family. War has a funny way of changing people. And though it didn't change Eli's laziness, it did change how he saw these people. They were no longer just comrades, they were family. And like a real family you don't always get along, you drive each other crazy, and can't stand each other. But when push comes to shove you will always have their back, and Eli would be damned if he lost any of these people the way he lost his sister. Due to his laziness and selfishness.
And so, Eli found himself in the meeting room early. Not because he was trying to be punctual or anything, not in the slightest. More because he woke up and instantly thought he was late. Pulling on a dark pair of jeans and old wrinkled button up dress shirt off the floor. Missing one of the buttons as he hurriedly buttoned his shirt up causing the shirt to rest crooked over his large frame. He threw his golden dawn cloak over his shoulders, also crooked of course. And Clasped his Grimoire around his waste. Eli had a notable grimoire, not a four leaf clover like some of the most powerful wizards in this group. But it was highly ranked, and gave him the magic of Gold. The only real reason a slacker like him could end up in this group. But, even with a beautiful golden colored grimoire that made even some of the most powerful wizards jealous, he kept it safely tucked in an old rugged brown leather holster. Something that looked more like a dog's chew toy than a grimoire holster. His dark green hair messy as always, resembling an old bird's nest covered in moss. As Eli rushed into the room, shoeless and looking like a drunken bum off the street he came into an empty room. He stared blankly "Shit.... I missed it... I'm dead..." Eli's dark voice muttered as he brought his hand up and rubbed his tired face. Glancing at the clock to see how late he was he saw he was actually early. His hand dropped and he stared at the clock dumbfounded... Early... This was actually a first. There was only one thing to do. Clean himself up and look presentable? No no no...
Eli dragged his tired feet into the room and plopped down into the furthest chair from the from, it was quiet comfortable, something that Eli still wasn't quiet used to. And as he plopped down into the comfortable chair he crossed his arms over the table and laid his head into his arms and was instantly back into his own little dream land. Being a deep sleeper had it's perks, such as not being disturbed when someone walked in the room. Though sometimes it got Eli in trouble. As the room began to fill the tall muscle male sat asleep in his chair, as if no one else was around. Even as the vice captain himself walked in and spoke Eli didn't even stir. A small puddle of drool pooling on the table below his face as he dreamed of a relaxing on a deserted beach. It was a good thing there was still more time for Eli to wake up, it was bad that he would probably still have to be woken up the hard way...

Brielle had only got back to the Clover Kingdom recently returned within this past month, at the start of the third year of this bloodshed massacre of a war. Brielle had reclaimed her personal family’s honor back in the Aurealis bloodline. Making them the main branch once again. Brielle’s name wasn’t carried throughout the war but she was recreated as the Four-Leaf Clover Spy. As most of her missions relied on luck, as she infiltrated the Diamond Kingdom. She had only infiltrated the Kingdom within the past two years, her first year was spent assassinating any key figures for the Diamond Kingdom, however, she had to keep her identity hidden, for phase two of her mission.
That’ll be another story for another time as the woman was on her way back to Golden Dawn from her daily scout routine. Nothing out of order- well speaking of a regular day living in a country in war. On her way back Brielle was recollecting her thoughts as she had earned quite the name within her family as her missions were revealed by her close-relatives that she was the spy that infiltrated Diamond. She had hoped that she wouldn’t regret the Aurealis family knowing- she knew deep down some of them surely thought of her as a demonic sour fruit of the family tree and would love to take the chance to rat her out to the Diamond Kingdom.
Her older sister only forgave Brielle because of her accomplishments. Brielle had finally proven to her family that you could be a child who struggles with magic and yet a dangerous threat later. Maybe the others can forgive her and find a new love in her with her recent mission.
Golden Dawn was surely not the same that it was two years ago before the war when she was busy helping prep for the war with other squads. They had grown surely, but she wasn’t ever in Clover for the time it grew and as new leaders rose. So it was all new faces to her. Something that struck the woman odd, was the fact a criminal that was surely wanted dead is now the co-leader of such a role-model squad. She promised herself not to judge the man as she had never met him and this would be her first impression. However, she had to have an opportunity to meet the new Vice Captain, well he was new to her.
As she entered Golden Dawn immediately some lower-ranked knights informed her on a meeting hosted by Vice Captain Vista. For some reason she could've sworn she heard about a Vista a few years back when she prepped for this damned war, how funny that her new Vice Captain was a Vista. Could he be the same Vista?
As she made her way to the meeting room, she smiled faintly as she saw the Vice Captain at a podium. She looked over to the seats that were vacant, for some reason this all felt - unusual. The month that she had been back home was rough, adjusting to the new faces and the new way of things. For some reason, a home of comfort was beginning to be the thought of being back in Diamond as a spy. She sat in the left side back corner, as she didn't want to be upfront in the center or in the middle of everyone. She leaned against a wall with her head resting on her arm.
The woman was usually more formal than this but she felt out of place amongst these people, ... these new faces.

After Tetsuya had hit the podium and made hsi small remark, a very familiar voice echoed out. The voice had made a joke about Tetsuya's ever growing age also saying that they should be the one to be hosting said event. With a quick scan of the room Tetsuya was easily able to identify that the voice came from the front of the room and it was nobody else but his very own student Arthur. These two had quite the history with each other, and Arthur was sometimes the only thing that could keep Tetsuya from his blood thirsty urges. Tetsuya smiled and let out a small laugh along with the rest of his squad. He would then reply with a joke of his own saying "I might be getting older but I know for a fact I can beat everyone in this room if I wanted... I guess im like wine I only get better with time."
After making his rebuttal everyone began to laugh more with uncontrollable chuckles and laughs. Tetsuya would then look at the clock on the wall to see that the time before he said he would start the meeting would have passed. He would then begin to speak again saying "The meeting is about to begin please everyone take a seat." Just after Tetsuya would say this he noticed a man in the back of the room asleep in a chair. Tetsuya wouldn't allow the man to simply sleep there while he conducted his meeting so he would instead wake him up. He put his finger up to his lips to silence the crowd of Golden Dawn members as he quietly approached a table next to the sleeping man. Once at the table Tetsuya would gather lightning around his fist and punch down onto the table, and break it in a single and swift hit.
The table would break into several tiny pieces flying all around the room. Tetsuya would then look at the boy with his normal scary blank face. He wasn't angry or even bothered by the young boy sleeping, he was more so just trying to assert his dominance and leadership over the few in the squad that hadn't jumped on board with him being the vice captain yet. "Wake up you sleeping fool...." Tetsuya would say as he walked back up to the podium. Once back at the podium he would finally begin the meeting. "Hello all Golden Dawn members. Out of everyone here there are people who do know me and people who do not. For the people who don't know me I am your vice captain, Tetsuya Vista. I started off in Golden Dawn many years ago as a regular magic knight just like you all. But with hard work and dedication you can show your orth and become like me, and even those who don't become like me can become like my student Artorious that many of you know as The Protector of Dawn. We all play an important part here in the squad so don't ever think any of us mean nothing regardless of rank. However I know this isn't what we are all here for... you wanna hear the real news"
Tetsuya would take a brief pause before he would continue to speak yet again. "I wish to make Golden Dawn the frontrunners in innovation and new practices which is why me and Captain Aurum have decided to form a subdivision within the squad!" Everyone would grow very silent for a moment but then you could hear scattered conversations all through the room. Each conversation being centered around what people thought this sub division could be and what they would do. Tetsuya would let off one of his famous demon like grins before coming back and saying "We would like to introduce the beginning of Magical Research Division! The MRD will be a group of scientist and researchers who use their prodigal minds to take Golden Dawn and the kingdom of Clover at large into the future... Also Golden Dawn will be introducing a new squad hierarchy system, that we believe all squads in the future will follow. The system will consist of actual rankings besides that of Captain and Vice Captain. There will now be an additional 3 ranks, with these ranks being called 3rd, 4th, & 5th Seat. These members will be the top three members besides me and Captain Aurum, so you should all use them as a resource to help you with anything you may need. I will now open the floor up to questions before I continue on with the next set of important business."

To no one's surprise, he was able to get the same laughs that he was always seemingly able to get. Growing into quite the comic over time as the only form of relief from a time at war. Many people had their ways of coping and developing a proper mental state for the hard times to come, his was a bit more subtle. He continued to look around the room, as the bellowing laughter of his comrades filled the massive space, and he played witness to the growing smile on Tetsuya's face. This was usually a good sign, for the members of the Golden Dawn at least. If Tetsuya is smiling anywhere else then Arthur would have reason to be concerned. His rebuttal was just as funny, referring to himself as wine, seemingly aging and developing more skill and strength as time amassed. A brief chuckle, followed by an exhale, allowed him to truly take everything in. His eyes closed for a brief moment and when opened, scanned the room to see if there was anyone else he'd recognized; no one appeared, so those crimson eyes trailed back over to Tetsuya, a shallow breath blowing over the skin of his lips before he parted them to speak. "Well it's a good thing I don't drink wine then, huh?"
He smiled afterward, as there was a few more lingering chuckles but you could tell the room was calming down now and preparing for the actual meeting. His Golden Dawn cloak dragged against the floor and swayed under the chair, collecting dust with its coattails. It was a weird feeling, for him, having developed a relationship with so many people that lack blood relation to him. This was like a school, and he was sitting at the cool kids' table; something he'd never expect. The meeting was scheduled to commence right...about.. now? Then why was Tetsuya walking towards the back of the room? Quickly, Arthur spotted a man he'd never seen before, drowning in a puddle of his own drool, Tetsuya slowly approaching the table. That's not good. Arthur simply turned back around in his chair, to face the podium that was now empty, awaiting the noise that was proof of what he'd already known was coming. CRASH. A splinter of wood came flying pass Arthur's face, another piece getting stuck in his unruly mane, his hand rising to pull it out.
He turned around to verify what had happened, and sure enough, the table was in pieces, and more than likely, that stranger's sleep absolutely disrupted. The sound of lightning crackling still invading Arthur's ears. As Tetsuya made his way back up towards the front it seemed like things were finally about to be underway. He talked for a brief moment, all of it sounds great and all but what exactly is the purpose of this research division? Arthur was more of a traditional man, and had more of the Valiant Knight aspect to him, not much of the inquisitive person always looking for ways to improve this or that. When he asked about there being any questions, Artorious didn't hesitate to be the first person with his hand gliding against the air, his palms open with all five fingers extended. "This all sounds great. But does this new ranking system only apply to those in Research and Development? Throw me in a battlefield, fine- throw me in a lab and I'll be extremely unnerved. Magic should be the only form of science; I know for sure it's the only kind I need." He pleaded.
A Young girl, with a wide smile and a missing tooth. Bright hope-filled eyes as the sweet voice rang out. "Do you're best!" . A dream, These dreams happened often since his little sister's death. Memories of his time with her, her smile, her hope. How she was always trying her hardest no matter what she was doing. It was inspiring really, if she were still alive she might have been the person standing at that podium. Suddenly the dream came to a halt as the sound of crackling static filled the room, Eli's messy hair frizzing out even more. His dark eyes slowly opening just in time to see what was happening. It was all in slow motion as a fist of lightning was brought down upon his desk, formerly his pillow. And the wood exploded into splinters flying across the room. "Gah!" Eli managed to gasp out in shock. Looking up he saw the vice captain standing in front of him giving him a blank stare. "Wake up you sleeping fool...." The vice captain said in a low voice before he turned and walked towards the front of the class. Most of the members were probably in shock, or nervous, or even laughing. Not Eli, he didn't much care. He stretched his arms out and his jaw lowered as he let out a soft yawn. Leaning back in his chair with a tired gaze as the vice captain took his place at the front. This was one of the things Eli hated about being a magic knight. The Discipline, the orders, the 'power' It all seemed to get to people head. But Eli just sat there, taking it in. It didn't bother him much, it was a small burden to suffer through in order to fulfill his sister's dream for her. Which made Eli wonder, how long had the vice captain been here? or any of these people? How many of them knew his sister? She was a former member of the Golden Dawn after all. And with her attitude and knack for talking to people. She was sure to have made friends with most if not all of the golden dawn.
The Vice Captain began speaking instantly, giving what he assumed was some motivational speech to start off with. Eli had heard it before, from his father many times. 'I started out a boy just like you, if you work hard enough you can blah blah blah...' It's not that Eli hated this kind of thing, he just didn't care. He wasn't here to become some top member of the Golden Dawn, or to become super powerful, or even to invent amazing magic or magical tools/items. Hell his family did enough of that, he was trying to get away from his family. No, Eli was simply here to live the dream that was robbed from his sister those years ago. But...Her dream was to do her best.. so maybe he should be interested in what the vice captain had to say. Testuya continued, speaking of a new division and new ranking system. Eli slowly looked around the room as the muttering began. there seemed to be excitement, or nervousness. He wasn't sure.
The unusually tall male sat back in the chair as the captain waited for everyone to silence before continuing and asked if anyone had any questions. Eli notice Arthur instantly raise his hand. Eli didn't know him to well at all, but he seemed to know Tetsuya pretty well, was always around him. Even got a special rank or something from how involved he was. The male instantly started speaking about the battlefield, seemed to make sense. This boy seemed to want to be around Tetsuya all the time, or at least to prove himself. And the best place to do that was probably on the battlefield. Good for him, from what Eli understood Arthur was talented and the war efforts would be much worse without him. But that wasn't Eli's style. Eli wasn't a great lactation, he wasn't a blood thirsty warrior, he wasn't some genius who understood how things work. He was simply a person, he didn't care for being outstanding. It's the reason he bonded more with the lower class than the nobles. It's the reason he left the capital in the first place. It all made him very uncomfortable.
Eli allowed the Vice captain to answer the boy's question before raising his own hand. His long arm stretching high into the air. His voice spoke out, he didn't speak often so for many it was their first time hearing it. A low mature voice ringing out from the back. Half asleep still from the nap he was woken from. "I'm guessing you wouldn't have made this announcement if you didn't know who was going to fill those positions yes? Or Is it some type of achievements we must obtain to fill them?" The male's hand dropped back down to his side, it was a pretty amusing sight to see. Such a tall man sitting in the chair the way he was. Made it look like something from alice in wonderland. Eli didn't ask because he wanted any of the positions, far from that. No, he asked because he knew others wanted to but seemed to nervous to ask. Maybe they thought it would make them look bad? Maybe they were to busy trying to build up the courage. Either way Eli was awake and it didn't matter to him any so he made it easier for everyone by asking. Though if he was honest he was a little nervous, there might be some part of him that wanted a position for his sister's sake, and there was a huge part of him that didn't want a position because of the responsibility it meant having. How troublesome it all was... But at least it wasn't in his hands.

Electricity filled the air as the tall and slender man who was asleep had his desk destroyed in mere seconds as the so-called, "vice-captain," had smashed it to bits and splinters went flying. A few of the splinters would scrap against her cheeks. Brielle was unimpressed with this man and losing respect by the seconds. It was absolutely just unnecessary damage, not at all what the Golden Dawn represented- or do they? Was this the new image of the Golden Dawn? Had that much changed in nearly three years? Was this even her home now? Is she to just accept this new vice-captain and adapt to this new lifestyle?
As the squad's vice-captain and his former student passed jokes and other members began to burst into laughter she just sat in the corner with her left leg draped over her right and her head resting on her hands clasped together. To be completely honest she wasn't comfortable at all with how this meeting was going, she was so used to structure and a serious environment. That might have to do with her strict codes she was too follow as a spy for Clover. After the laughing had calmed down Tetsuya had mentioned a new branch he'd be adding to the ranks.
Can he do that? Brielle sat confused in her thoughts. How does one even become apart of this new branch of scientific research? Surely there would be more branches this man would add later, this was probably just a start to the different things he wanted to bring to Golden Dawn. Within nearly the five years she's been in this squad the last three years have been hectic mostly due to prepping for wars and then revolving around her new lifestyle with the war.
On the other corner of the room, a tall lanky man- the one who had his desk destroyed asked if anyone was to take these roles for this new branch or are they achieved.
"Oh yes, that's a good question... what's the plan?" She finally spoke up, her voice soft and almost like a whisper.
Adjusting her posture to sit more professionally, her legs still crossed but she sat straight up with her hands clasped together in her lap.

Many people in the room had thoughts and opinions on what was going on and they also had questions. sadly not many of them were willing to speak up. All besides three were unwilling, and one of these three being Arty, another one being a unknown young woman, and the third being the man Tetsuya had just caught sleep. Arty had opened up asking did the new ranked positions in the squad only go for the new research and development team, and this is where Tetsuya would start. "No the new ranks are for the regular forces of Golden Dawn. MRD will be its own entity with no ranks other than a head researcher. "
The next question was asked by the man who was fast asleep. He had assumed that the people who would hold these ranks were already selected otherwise the positions wouldn't have been announced. While it was true that Tetsuya and Captain Aurum had thought about who to give these positions to as they were a lot of responsibility. Tetsuya wanted to announce the people but he instead wanted to give everyone a fair shot. So he had decided to make a last minute call. "As for your question sleeping beauty, nobody has been selected for the new ranks. I will allow anyone here and now to audition for the rank they desire. So please if any of you present wish to obtain these ranks please speak now."
The room grew silent, why was everyone so quiet. Tetsuya was sure that someone would speak up. However before they would he would speak on the final question posed by the young woman sitting to the rear of the room. "The plan is for your audition to be based on a physical wellness test conducted by some of the finest doctors in the capital. After that you shall take a written test, and lastly if anyone is competing for a spot against you then you shall spar and the winner will get the spot. Now anymore questions before we move on?" Tetsuya wondered if anyone would go for his test...

The room had grown still for a brief moment, as the meeting commenced quite normally and as expected. Besides the thunder crash of a simple mahogany table it wasn't the least bit interesting; yet. Arthur's interest in the meeting itself was lax, no more than the tall guy drooling over the surface of that table in the back. However, his sense of duty overpowered his lack of patience for the small tedious things, so as a result, he arrived, and he was attentive. His face quickly grew in interest, his eyebrows rising over his head in order to show a peak in energy. Looks like Artorious wouldn't have to become a research junky in order to participate in this program. That was good enough news for him. His interest was peaked for a second time, as that man in the back asked a question following the Vice Captain's answer to his own question. A mighty good question, if Arthur had anything to say about it. This was the basis of his curiosity, had Tetsuya already had this mapped out, or did he have a crafty way of deciding who would best fill each role. It was interesting to even think about it, but his curiosities were soon put to rest, the answer to that question was unleashed like a swell of flames upon the entire room, driving a new form of excitement into them all.
You see, the Magic Knight squads were an interesting bunch. The big three, being the Golden Dawn, Silver Eagles, and Crimson Lions usually follow a form of hierarchy in terms of promotional value and grooming into those who could possibly be next in line. The Silver Eagles and Crimson Lions were more oriented on family; both of noble origin they like to keep that train going. The Golden Dawn was a bit different. Their hierarchy was in the form of student-to-master. Put simply, if someone takes you under their wing it means more than likely they want you to replace them one day. The Golden Dawn's original purpose was to groom those into being the best Knights in the realm. The higher you are in the ranks of that hierarchy in the Golden Dawn, the closer you are to becoming the next Wizard King; or, at least that's how they advertised it. This was a bit different, they were able to receive ranks separate from that of there actual Magic Knight ranks, which was beneficial for people like Arthur, whose strength was far past that of which he was listed on the official rankings. Maybe with this opportunity, he could truly establish his dominance, even if he had no intentions of fighting or harming another Magic Knight.
The different steps that you'd need to take in order to attain said seat, sounded but rigorous and entertaining but for the most part, he wasn't the least bit startled. From his own understanding, there wasn't a single soul in the room that would possibly challenge him for any seat he'd be chosen to occupy. This wasn't cockiness in any form, but instead, confidence in his peers' respect for him and his ability as a Knight. He rested a majority of his weight on the arm of the chair, his fist driving into his cheek and holding his skin tightly to his chiseled frame. His free arm rose to create a shrugging motion throughout his shoulder, a somewhat nonchalant attitude consuming the exterior, even though that wasn't a true reflection of his internal feelings on the matter. "Hm. . . Welp. Go ahead and sign me up. I'll take whatever assessment necessary even though I'm more than knowledgeable in more areas than a few. Was this Aurum's Idea or yours?" It wasn't that he had a problem with authority. In all actuality, he was the perfect soldier, but a blurry area of his past somewhat shaded his judgment of the Golden Dawn's Captain, and any idea that was relatively his found a way to immediately lose its primary value. However, this would not deter Arthur from being a part of this new program, he just wanted to know if he should go into it already hating it or not.
Eli's tired eyes watched the vice captain carefully as he answered the question, shooting a quick glance over at the girl who followed up his question. A curious looking girl, though she didn't seem too much different from the others. He had heard the stories of her, her great feats. The impossible missions she pulled off, even her insane past. But all that was... normal in the Golden Dawn. Even seemed to be some sort of incredible person, with untouchable abilities. Then there was Eli, the outcast. The lazy one. The slacker. The slob. The loser. The names went on and on. Both to his face and behind his back. And Eli always responded with a charming smile and a playful wink. He knew he wasn't like the others. In fact, he took pride in it.
The answer that Eli received seemed to set most of the people in the room ablaze with excitement. Not Eli, the long olive skinned male sat there, his long legs stretching out causing his chair too lean back as he raised his arms into the air and let out a quiet yawn... well, mostly quiet. Instead the feeling that washed over Eli was relief. They would have to fight for the position, which meant Eli would not participate. Eli did what he was told and would try to live up to his sister's dreams. But he would do it his way, he wasn't going to fight and kiss ass to climb the chain. He was going to do things the way he wanted to. After all, he was completely different from everyone else here.
The boy in the front slouched over and was the first to answer saying to sign him up. And asked if it was the captain's idea or his. Eli hadn't thought of that question. Mostly because, he didn't care who's idea it was. But it was interesting that he volunteered to join this little competition. Eli thought that he was exempt from it, that he was basically already at the top due to being the vice-captain's lap dog... Pupil, what ever you wanna call it. Though it wasn't all that surprising, the boy always seemed to be looking for a way to prove himself. This would be the perfect way for him to do so. And what about the girl, she would easily do well in something like this. But did that interest her? Or did she prefer to stay away from things like this? In fact, how did everyone else feel?
Eli looked around the room slowly, gathering the looks on people's face and their attitudes. It was the Golden Dawn after all, so most people wanted to prove they were the best. Seemed like for the most part Eli was the odd one out. He had no interest in the research division nor the ranking system. Too bothersome. So he slid his hands into his messy green hair behind his head and leaned his head back, looking up at the ceiling as he allowed the questions to continue before the meeting moved on to the next point. What ever that was.
This Vice-Captain sure was a strange one, he mentioned the new branch would have no new ranks beside the Head-Researcher. You'd think it'd at least add a few researcher-like ranks to the squad. Oh well. It wasn't her squad to run so it didn't really matter what he wanted to implement as long as she got to serve the kingdom and be an idol for other knights as she turned heads and spread a good image of the Magic Knights. As much as she wanted to be in charge of researching new things and developing more magical enhancements to help society, she could care less to make an attempt with such a vice-captain. She just looked away to the side.
She sighed, this was a disappointment. Hopefully, there was more to this damned meeting then. As far as Brielle was concerned this squad did shit for her now, she might as well be a wandering knight.
Brielle eased up on her noble posture with her left leg crossed tightly along her right leg's thigh, and now her legs crossed by her feet as she sank into her seat. Basically, Brielle was bored of the meeting now because, when he brought up the new branch to the squad she was actually excited but reviewing how he presents himself as a leader and how the meeting started off, this wasn't the place for her.
Brielle stood up, bowing before the squad as she excused herself and left the room to continue her daily scouting.
"Well, that's interesting. Count me out." Brielle mumbled.

The girl who sat in the back of the room would mumble something as she walked out of the room, however Tetsuya could not hear all of what she said. All that he truly heard was "count me out." Tetsuya scoffed as she walked out of the room and began to speak as she walked out "If anyone else is uninterested or feels the desire to leave please do so. However if you do leave please be sure to pack your bags and leave the base too because you will no longer be welcomed here." Tetsuya hated to say such hateful words to people he considered his family but he had to stand tall and firm, and let people know that he wasnt joking. After he said this about 5 more people would get up and leave the meeting room. Tetsuya would shake his head once again before he would continue on.
Now that he had gotten all the bad apples out of the bunch he decided now was the time to reveal his secret plot. "Now that they have left I shall now reveal to you guys, the real plan." Tetsuya would stop speaking before stepping down from the podium and walking into the middle of the room where he though and felt that he could be more connected with his new family. "I would never make you guys compete and fight each other over the positions. I have already selected who I wish to gain these titles. However just like my position as vice captain if someone challenges you for it you must accept the challenge."
He took a deep breathe before walking to his student Arthur who sat towards the front of the room. He let off a slight smile, something he had never shown to his student outside of his devil like grin. He then would reach down and hug the young man who was sitting in his seat and say "Congrats Arty, I have chosen you as the 3rd seat. You will be the one to succeed me as Vice Captain one day. You are The Protector of Dawn after all." The room would be filled with cheering and excitement as it seemed everyone was happy that Arty was selected for the position. Tetsuya would then release from the hug he had gave to his student as he would then walk back over to the young man who he had awakened from his sleep. He would then look at him and let off a less than convincing grin as he held out his hand for the man to shake it.
"Eli... I know you try to stay under the radar but I have been watching you. I've been watching all of you but you show promise to me and for that reason I have chosen you for the 5th seat. I hope you make me proud and not regret my decision." The crowd would cheer some more but that was until one person would yell out "Hey who is the 4th seat? Why'd you just skip it?" Tetsuya laughed for a second or two before saying "I didn't skip it... I didnt pick a 4th seat because I dont think anyone is ready."
Tetsuya would then walk to the door of the room and yell out "The meeting is dismissed, I hope you all have a good day. Please make sure you train hard."
