GENERAL SITE RULES
I. BE RESPECTFUL: Everyone on this site is here to have a good time in one way or another, so please be respectful to everyone else. This means no harassing, flaming, trolling or verbally abusing anyone else on this site. Anyone that is being harassed, contact an Admin right away and we will take care of the situation. If you feel that there is corruptness with the admins or mods, or unfair treatment and you have substantial proof, then bring it to an administrator and they will further the investigation, dealing with it accordingly. - All instances that happen off site, I.E Skype, and Discord are still under this rule and rule breakers will be warned and possibly banned.
II. NO SPAMMING: This means that you shouldn't double post or post anything in a thread that isn't relevant to thread. This keeps threads and forums from being cluttered. Anything that breaks this rule will be deleted or moved. If you wish to play forum games, a spam section is provided for such.
III. ADVERTISING: For advertisements to other sites please post them only in the Advertisement section. It is why that section is there, if an ad is posted anywhere else it will be deleted and the person who placed it will receive a warning.
IV. BE APPROPRIATE: The Site is PG 13 for the most part, and while cursing is allowed, be respectful of other members. For that reason no excessive slandering, sexual content or overly graphic content is NOT allowed in the ChatBox. Anyone who breaks this rule will be warned, if it persists they will be banned from the Chatbox for an amount of time. Any time from 1 hour to indefinite depending on how much this persists. - NO POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS, OR OTHERWISE DISCOURSE. And also, just don’t be a jerk. This isn’t that kind of discussion board, and neither is the chatbox. Be a respectful person!
V. MATURE BEHAVIOR: As stated above, the site is PG-13 and some mature content is allowed on forums. Any images, or videos displaying mature graphic content will be deleted immediately and the member that posted will be dealt with appropriately. Please be considerate of other rp'rs in the threads. Don't force people into things they are uncomfortable with.
VI. PLAGIARISM: With Proboards, it is easy to use graphics in threads and the like. Make sure to credit all creators. On that note, plagiarism with characters, writing, posts, will not be tolerated. Anyone caught doing this will be given ONLY ONE WARNING before ban.
VII. CANON CHARACTERS: We are an AU based site around the theme of Black Clover, this fantasy genre appears in many games and anime's. That meaning, we will not accept any write offs of canon characters. You may use the face claims set by canon, but we will not allow their names or concepts to be reused. However, you can make your character part of a noble household mentioned in Black Clover, ie Silva, Vermillion, etc. and you may make a character who idolizes a current character in the Black Clover manga (ie You really like Asta because he never gives up).
VIII. FACE CLAIMS: Though we are AU, we are an ANIME BASED AU site. Being that all face claims must fit the Anime type theme. Being from games, Original Characters, or other anime/manga. All Face Claims must be registered in the list upon character creation. Failure to comply to the rules set for face claims may result in complications later on.
IX. DISCORD/CHAT BOX: Simply put... It is a privilege, not a right, and Staff will take it away if people insist on being nasty towards each other. Yes, a few can ruin it for everyone.
X. GOD-MODDING/META-GAMING: This is 100% not allowed without permission from both parties. Anyone caught godmodding or Metagaming another player will be warned and possibly banned. This ruins the fun of RPing.
XI. RESPECT STAFF: Members of staff were chosen for a reason. Players please respect their decisions appropriately. If you feel that you are being mistreated by a member of staff, contact the site owner via pm with liable evidence and the situation will be investigated.
XII. ROLEPLAYING: We have a few rules regarding posting. Posting Style: • Please do not use "text talk". • Please use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. • Please separate your dialogue from action with an enter key, click, and quotations. • Do not post in first person.
XIII. ALTERNATE ACCOUNTS: You must register a new character on a new account every time. Meaning no account can have more than one character. This is due to the account profiles which have information linking to that particular character. More than one of your characters may be in the same familia, however do not abuse this by favoring or metagaming. We are all adults here and I would hate to take this away.
IX. RP STANDARDS: I will reiterate that this is an intermediate RP site, and while we do not frown against new rp'ers, we suggest that all inexperienced rp'ers contact an admin so that a staff member can help guide this new rp'er appropriately. On this note, there is no required word count for threads, however please try to give your rp partners something to work with in terms of content. - All characters submitted are subject to dissection and critique by a staff member if it will further character growth and understanding.
X. NO MODERN TECHNOLOGY: Black Clover is set in a fantasy magic setting! This means no smartphones, internet, hover boards, cars, cyborgs, androids, battery operated machinery, etc.
XI. HAVE FUN: Finally, Have fun. Members are encouraged to reach out with their stories and achieve what they want to with their characters. Remember why you are here. To RP. To create stories and make friends. Staff has built you an encouraging environment to do just that.

ROLEPLAYING ON BLACK CLOVER RP
[attr="class","textspc"] Here at Black Clover, we have elastic time, meaning each character you have can be multiple threads at once and still maintain linear storyline for your character. The limit of threads per character is five normal threads, 2 dungeons, and an event . This is so you don’t overwhelm yourself with an insane number of threads!
For all threads, at the end of every post you should tally your consecutive wordcount. Keeping track of your wordcount is very important because at the end your total wordcount contributes to the total stat points and spell points you gained for the thread! To make this easier on all members, staff has installed a word counter plugin that will count your words for you in real time at the bottom of the post editor. All you have to do is look at the bottom right corner of the reply box.
Social Threads – These are the most common threads. They don’t necessarily require a label like [SOCIAL] (though recommended) and can be anything from a meeting to a battle between knights. Please do label whether a thread is [OPEN], meaning that anyone can jump in a thread at any time. Or [CLOSED], meaning that only certain participants are allowed in this thread, further specifying the character(s) involved in the thread is also a good idea. You can be in any combination of 5 MAX social threads or missions threads at a time
Mission Threads – These are threads that complete missions. They require a [MISSION] label, however the title of the thread isn’t required to be the name of the mission. Mission threads are naturally always Closed threads, available only to the participants who have requested the mission. Again, naming the participants involved is generally a good idea. You can be in any combination of 5 MAX social threads or missions threads at a time
Dungeon Threads - Want to explore a dungeon? Fight against monsters as a fellow adventurer? Dungeons are magical, powerful mana-zones that show up at random across the Kingdom of Clover. Mages who venture into dungeons often do so to gain riches and great loot! You can only be in MAX 2 Dungeon Threads at a time.
Special Event Threads – These are special threads only available during events. They may have special rewards! Usually, there are only one or a few of these events going on at a time.
Players will be restricted a bit more when it comes to solo threads. This is to discourage power leveling and not being an active member of the community. Players will have the amount of words required to earn a stat point increase when solo threading, this will increase the more they solo thread. This count will reset itself on the 1st of each month. Players will be limited to three solo threads per month.
First 10,000 Words
50% Increase to gain Stat/SP
100% Increase to gain Stat/SP
150% Increase to gain Stat/SP
300% Increase to gain Stat/SP
At the end of your thread, please have an exit post for your character that ends the thread and tallies up your final wordcount and how many stat points and spell points you earned. Remember for every 1,000 words, you earn 1 stat point and 1 spell point simultaneously. For example, if I write 5,000 words in a thread, I gain both 5 stat points and 5 spell points. Do not round up or down. I gain 5 stat points and 5 spell points regardless of whether I write 5,001 words or 5,999 words. To officially gain your stat and spell points, you must link the thread in your updated stat page. Additionally, for missions, list the mission’s wordcount requirement to show that you have completed the mission.

For convenience of Mods and other players, we are now requiring that signatures please have link to these four pages for your character:
There is no real template regarding these four pages, just ensure that you have a link to each in your signatures! If you can't think of some special way to list them all, here is also a simple template you are free to use.

General Guidelines These are the most basic and common rules of the site. Unless you’re doing a casual thread that doesn’t have any repercussions, you must follow these rules. If you chose to break any of these rules in a plot or event base thread with NPCS or players that can maim or kill, you are subjecting yourself to have one of these occur.
No God-modding/Meta-gaming: This one should be pretty simple here, and applies to all rp. No doing anything beyond your character's capabilities, or assuming you know knowledge that you should not. Simple as that.
Players can only die in death enabled threads/areas.
Stick to the max item limit, and your casting limit. Going over this may result in staff having to deny your thread or mission.
All spells and items used in combat must be approved before the thread begins.
[attr="class","genheader"]PLAYER VERSUS ENVIRONMENT SYSTEM
PVE: Perhaps the most common is the player versus environment type of combat. This combat is typically very hands off when it comes to a staff's duties. This is your everyday typical role play, often times in missions or other situations. While these are still subject to high scrutiny from the staff to ensure you've handled the situation appropriately, consequences like maiming or death are typically off the table in forms of punishment in these situations.
Killing of npc's is allowed, but if your character is a knight and kills an innocent bystander, then there can be repercussions for them IC. (Refer to the Criminal System)
Follow the guidelines for the npc. You cannot defeat an npc if you do not deal the proper amount of damage, and if you do not rp them to the proper stats, then your mission may be subject to failing. It is important to always follow the guidelines set for the npc's, including any personality traits or combat tendencies listed. It just isn't generally realistic for an intermediate knight to one shot a giant creature of Senior level.
If it is a staff controlled npc, no manipulating the npc's actions. The staff member rp'ing them will be in charge of that.
[attr="class","genheader"]PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER SYSTEM
PVP:When it comes to events or key plot areas, players will often find themselves in a player versus player environment. In this situations if the staff has not given set rules and guidelines for said thread, players should refer to the general rules and these as well. In player versus player threads, players can run the risk of being maimed or killed so they should be wary.
Stats: Post your stats at the start of the fight, that way your opponent and yourself can keep track of the proper stats you should have. As we know, they tend to fluctuate as we rp, so this keeps it easy for everyone. Be sure to follow the stat comparison rules here.
Vague/Timeline manipulation: It is allowed to some extent, but if the staff sees that you are constantly quoting and tearing apart someone's post instead of trying to enjoy the thread, then there may be possible punishments.
Action Guideline/Tips: This is not a rule, but a guideline for PvP. Most PvP'ers follow this rule. First you post your reaction to what they did, then you post your own action, then you may post an action left up to the other person's next post to decide whether or not it goes through. You must follow the casting limit, but I don't want to see anyone tossing up 12 spells just because they can. Most combat action posts occur within a matter of a few seconds IC, so it's just not realistic.
Be realistic: Don't jump to heights or throw things that your character could not possibly do. If your character is not fast enough to dodge, or strong enough to block, then you will have to take the hit. If you believe that the person you are fighting is being unfair and/or unrealistic, then you reserve the right to call in a staff member to take a look at the thread and make a decision. This can include the staff member forcing someone to rewrite their post, take a hit, or even rewind the fight any number of posts to restart.
